I don't know why you're in trouble. Have you done anything or are they just trolling you the way they troll me? Anyway thanks for helping when Tyrannis unconstructively reverted. Proxima Centauri (talk) 17:04, 13 April 2012 (UTC)
- I was accused of the latest spree of goatse vandalism, and I may have inadvertently made things worse by trying to defend myself and the other accused, UHM. And there was some other petty drama. It's mostly over now, and hopefully people seeing this on my talk page will take their arguments to the coop instead of going on tirades here. But never mind that, I'm always glad to help--"Shut up, Brx." 17:10, 13 April 2012 (UTC)
- When I complain about being trolled they troll me harder. I fear there are many victims of trolling here. Proxima Centauri (talk) 17:20, 13 April 2012 (UTC)
- Indeed. I made a post about it in the Chicken Coop, but it was mocked without much consideration. Please, though, if you wish to continue this discussion, do so over there. Thanks--"Shut up, Brx." 17:30, 13 April 2012 (UTC)

Question[edit]
Why, when UHM sends you a private email, and specifically asks you not to publish it, do you go ahead and publish it anyway? UHM has stood up for you a lot, I don't think it's right to be doing that then. I agree he is most likely engaging in a false confession, but if that's how he wants to leave, let him do it. He's got good reason to be annoyed, and he is slamming the door on his way out. (((Zack Martin)))™ 22:45, 14 April 2012 (UTC)
- Also, why, when UHM sends you a death threat, do you not report the incident to the proper authorities? WěǎšěǐǒǐďMethinks it is a Weasel 22:55, 14 April 2012 (UTC)
- Also, Maratrean, why aren't you piling on UHM for bullying Brx with death threats? P-Foster Talk "The existing superstructure has handed out crumbs. We don’t want crumbs; we want the whole loaf now.” --Ras Frank I 22:59, 14 April 2012 (UTC)
- I don't think UHM meant it seriously. I take it, he is fed up with the nonsense of this place, and so decided a good way to slam the door on his way out would be to falsely confess to the latest spree of vandalism. Given that, the idea that he could be sufficiently bothered to fly to Arizona to kill someone is rather preposterous, and I think he was hoping that would be clear to the recipient. (((Zack Martin)))™ 23:01, 14 April 2012 (UTC)
- (EC) But aren't you the guy that takes umbrage when somebody suggests suicide, however obviously jokingly? How is UHM's jibe about killing Brx in his sleep any different? ωεαşεζøίɗMethinks it is a Weasel 23:05, 14 April 2012 (UTC)
- It's not a joke I would have made myself, certainly. But what is the point of criticising UHM for it when he is already gone? Whereas, criticising those who are still here makes some more sense. (((Zack Martin)))™ 23:07, 14 April 2012 (UTC)

This place's irrationality has nothing to do with its rejection of religion (whether mine or anyone else's). It is certainly possible to be a rational atheist - but this site isn't rational atheism, it is irrationality. (((Zack Martin)))™ 23:16, 14 April 2012 (UTC)

- I was not interested in letting him take the fall for me. I would like this site better if UHM and I were regular editors. And it's not like he admitted to having scoliosis or whatever. The information in those emails was strictly wiki related, and I would not have posted them if that wasn't the case. I feel that if I violated his privacy, it was a very, very minor violation, and that the potential benefits outweighed the costs, even if your ethical calculus factors in deontology (which mine does).--"Shut up, Brx." 23:10, 14 April 2012 (UTC)

thing you tried to replace the logo with?--il'Dictator Mikal 22:20, 17 April 2012 (UTC)

- Gilgamesh was created by the gods to be a great king. The gods later decided that he needed a friend, and thus created Enkidu. Enkidu and Gilgamesh went on many adventures, the two most notable being the slaying of the giant Humbaba and the slaying of the Bull of Heaven (which had been sent to attack Gilgamesh for turning down the goddess Ishtar). The gods were furious that their bull was killed, and ordered the death of Enkidu (Gilgamesh was spared because he was acting in self-defense). That concludes today's lesson in Mesopotamian mythology with Professor Emeritus Camille--"Shut up, Brx." 22:29, 17 April 2012 (UTC)

Blocks[edit]
BTW, I obviously still find you to be a revolting waste of flesh unworthy of any sacrifice. I broke my previously flawless block record to make the point that RW's even more wild west since all this over-legislated horseshit. It actually has very little to do with you. If the rules are getting selectively enforced, the moderators have no business pretending they're anything but glorified paper pushers under the purportedly official characterization of our culture now being all orderly and rules based. I'm an even bigger asshole than Ace and Foster, yet I'm fairly sure that if I got cooped for blocking you unfairly people would get bored before they ever sanctioned me or removed my rights. I'm happy to be proven wrong, but I made my point after the first few blocks when moderators reversed my blocks, yet took no action; I don't think there's any reason for another time-wasting coop.
You couldn't have known, but you and a number of others massively fucked up taking such strong positions when there was no way this community would settle into anything but a close approximation of the well-oiled anarchy we had. Seems to me the new system was bound to create a backlash when people got tired of the far higher level of conflict occasioned by new and rigorously legislated means of beating people over the head.
Notwithstanding the lie you've been telling for a nearly a year about the "circle jerk" you attribute to people who barely edit the wiki anymore (except Ace, who I think has been pretty active all through it), we really didn't have the kind of classist culture we've got now. Huw, Ace, and I are flattered that you attribute to us such vast power to direct outcomes, but I think everyone but you agrees all we're responsible for is participating in a dialog. After May, some of us said things others listened to because we gave our reasoning and offered at least as some compelling reasons for our positions as the other side. That's just how it is. You've never given anything of value in that regard; your "new culture" was a masturbatory fantasy. Your lies reflect nothing but your butthurt at being outclassed on what could have been trivial issues by people you're obviously painfully envious of. Hurts, eh? The only thing you and I agree on is that rules should be enforced fairly if they mean anything. Where we depart is that I don't think they ever needed to mean much because the community is and was pretty fundamentally decent. We just need to get back on track and get over the frivolous conflict.
What we really need is a wiki project to get our core mission material spruced up so we can at least get linked more often in places like RDF, JREF, reputable YouTubers, the Atheist Experience, etc.
Anyhow, the point is: we at least held some things dear prior to the collapse of order last May, like, oh say, blocking fairly. Check you later, turd. 14:17, 25 April 2012 (UTC)

- Mikalos, the vocal spite of a few of the site's users is not sufficient to warrant me going into hiding. What's happened in the last few weeks? Ace, Nutty Roux, and yourself have tried trolling me, that's all. Most don't really care if I'm here or not. In the meanwhile, I discuss things, I contribute, and I generally shrug off the attacks. I think in time the trolling will leave the community saturated, and having exhausted their welcome, they will flee for greener pastures (all the while grumbling about "aspies" and "obsessives" having ruined the wiki by improving mainspace). That, or the trolls will wise up to their own behavior and will tone things down in order to retain their precious popularity. If you want to help, Mikalos, you can try shutting up. You can try not jabbing at me and Rob whenever we post. You can discuss CP and all that without trying to provoke us. You can even edit mainspace if that pleases you. --"Shut up, Brx." 03:12, 9 May 2012 (UTC)

Generally on RW, there's an unofficial policy of "diffs or it didn't happen," a spin off of the 4chan saying "pics or it didn't happen." - OK, Brx. For one, being nice doesn't mean being tolerant to people who throw fits all the time. Contrary to what you may believe, being a kind person and making you feel good unconditionally are not the same thing. And are you really admitting to not having listened to what anybody has to say, such that you have ignored EVERY complaint that has been made to you? For one, you go around whining that the system of other people's design has to be fixed when they don't agree. Then you don't accept criticsm when people make it of you (which you are doing right now.) Then you seem to confuse 'people don't agree with me!' with 'people are mean and are harassing me!' And for the record, I never denied the existence of Asperger's syndrome, it's just that the actual community is very unclear as to what is included in the definition and it's an established phenomenon that people will self diagnose it for the benefits, especially as a get-out-of-jail-free card on the internet. That somebody else didn't like it is their problem and they're free to revert whatever I put up, I don't really care. That's the way wikis work, I don't have any attachment to my edits. Unlike you, who throws a fantastic fit every time someone even hints as thinking your point is invalid or useless. Your persecution complex is incredible. I like to consider myself a friendly person, but when you consume up to a quarter of the wiki with your ego and the responses to it (and don't kid yourself, if you didn't repeatedly deny you had a problem, people would not waste so many edits trying to tell you you have one!) it is very, very hard to keep a sunny outlook when it comes to you. ±KnightOfTL;DRjust shut up already 04:09, 9 May 2012 (UTC)

- At the moment, it's mostly attitude problems and the way he deals with other people that people are upset about. When people explain to you why they have a problem with what you've said, the proper response is to try and understand what you did and why others might have objected, and then work out the problem... not deny you ever did anything and claim that people who have problems with you are just mean people who need to be reformed. It wouldn't be so much a problem if he didn't keep doing this repeatedly over weeks and weeks, causing people to generally distust him and generally dismiss/grumble at him as he proves over and over again he won't learn from his mistakes... and in fact will maintain (as above) has no idea what mistakes he made, when people have pointed it out to him over and over again. It's OK to dispute problems, and reach a conclusion, but it's not OK to deny anything ever happened and anyone who says otherwise is a hater. I mean the ones that repeatedly vandalize other users' pages, that pop in and flame others, that abusively block. Those are the trolls, and that you refuse to admit it doesn't say anything good about you.--"Shut up, Brx." 03:58, 9 May 2012 (UTC)
- I would argue that at the moment, he isn't being an idiot, but being rather evasive and trying to avoid having to take responsibility of his actions. By demanding specifics of things he has self-demonstrated a million times, people have explained to him a million times... I don't believe he is oblivious to his own actions. I believe he thinks altogether too highly of himself if he thinks that people will just accept his evasive maneuver at face value. Try again, brx. You know exactly what you do. You do it all the time, people call you out for it all the time. You are perhaps one of the most egotistical drama kings I have ever seen, and you know it. ±KnightOfTL;DRlavishly loquacious 03:46, 9 May 2012 (UTC)

- No, you were being an idiot, and you need to get off the idea that people that object to you are 'trolling' (ie. being mean just to be mean and make your life hard) you. They are angry at you and distrust you because you act in annoying and objectionable ways and dismissing their problems with you as 'oh they are just haters' is not making you look like a reasonable, pleasant human being. ±KnightOfTL;DRlongissimus non legeri 03:34, 9 May 2012 (UTC)

Perhaps a troubled youth with a wp:Dissociative disorder? While that may be deserving of kindness and understanding, OTOH he would need to understand no one has the right to dump their shit on other people. That's my dime-store diagnosis, but I've never interviewed the patient and am not really a doctor anyways. nobsCorporations are people, too. 05:08, 9 May 2012 (UTC)

- Then perhaps you can explain why he continues lying about me. He doesn't mean well. He is no learning anything but how to play the victim poorly. 12:15, 9 May 2012 (UTC)
- Your attempts to ban him from the site are probably not helping. Maybe just ignore him? I assure you, all the rest of us tune out his spite and accusations when he gets pissy, so any lying he does isn't going to do any harm. He has no credibility. Just roll your eyes and skip anything he says, since it infuriates you into attempts to personally block him from RW.--talk 12:42, 9 May 2012 (UTC)
- I think you know that I oppose community bans. I'd respond to his lies and get into it with him like you all are but I've got work to do this morning. Blocking him like this is me merely expressing my contempt for him with a few keystrokes and mouse clicks, rather than throwing much energy at it at all. Perhaps you all could do the same thing while you hunker down and wait for him to stop acting like a developmentally delayed hillbilly. 13:29, 9 May 2012 (UTC)
- If he bothers you so much, ignore him like an adult or call for a vote. Your expressions of contempt are not just verbiage, they're bans from the site that other people have to spend time repeatedly undoing just so you can get your venting done - plus it stirs up the drama again.--talk 13:37, 9 May 2012 (UTC)
- Perhaps Brxbrx needs mentoring. He & I collaborated on CP's Dan Savage article back in the day nobody knew who or what Santorum was. It was pretty NPOV, even by CP standards. I don't know how much time I can give to mentoring, or if the community would consider him as rehabilitated after. Email[edit]
Brx, stop emailing me every time you have a problem. Here is a good example of what can happen if you just back off for a while without praying to Your Personal Savior, AD. You were dumb and tried to delete talk pages, then you got into an edit war with someone over it (you were in the wrong, incidentally), and there was a mild and temporary over-reaction. Other users (Blue, Ace, WfG) saw this and stepped in, and everything was fixed within the hour. You were only very annoying and confrontational and accusatory, rather than extremely annoying and confrontational and accusatory, and so it only ate up an hour of time. Maybe we are seeing a learning curve here! I'd like to think so.
Anyway, everyone is awesome and RW is good and Brx is becoming by degrees less terrible.--talk 07:33, 9 May 2012 (UTC)

bold, edgy style of humor[edit]
I was previously willing to grant the small possibility that you weren't actually a racist, but where just really really really really stupid for making that creepy addition that the white woman being raped by the black man is a "hambeast." Given your strident yet contentless defense (I'll fisk it if you're really going to stand on it and not just disappear quietly) and you going so far as to attack me, I'm more willing to believe that you're mentally retarded. It's also possible you're a sociopath. It's impossible to know. in any event, I'll continue calling you a racist, and a misogynist since I prefer not to assume someone is disabled without better evidence. Whatever your defect is, you're a vile wretch. 23:27, 10 May 2012 (UTC)
- "I don't need your bullshit. I am not a racist. I made a crude joke in a setting where crude jokes are not offensive. Quit telling people I am a racist." Joking about a black man raping a white woman and then calling her fat isn't offensive? I guess by that analysis you get a pass for heading over to Stormfront to make some jokes about jews, eh? After all, it's what the kids over there are doing and you're definitely not responsible for your own actions when you're just following the herd, are you? 23:41, 10 May 2012 (UTC)
- Dear little Brxy. Running away for a day is only going to make things worse. If you really want to avoid having to explain yourself, just go. Never come back. All you had to do was admit you're a moron or a sociopath and people would have been a little more generous, as repulsive as you'd still be. You're not going to get any quarter if you don't learn a little humility. 23:50, 10 May 2012 (UTC)
