This page seems like a bad idea

It’s an obvious troll magnet. There’s not much that can be done to stop its creator editing it, but given how inactive they are I think it’d be best if everyone else just let it fade into obscurity. Christopher (talk) 08:55, 8 April 2021 (UTC)

should we move this to a policy page?

Given Dysk is gone and this is in their userspace. It could be useful to have a page for this stuff, although I don't exactly see this ending well. Just keep in mind that technically all edits to this page are against userspace policy but since Dysk is gone I won't yell at anyone about it. -- Techpriest (talk) 21:03, 19 September 2021 (UTC)

This page should not be maintained, much less be part of policy space. --It's-a me, Lgm sigpic.png LeftyGreenMario!(Mod) 21:28, 19 September 2021 (UTC)

this page should not exist and people should not be editing this

@LeftyGreenMario I feel that we should have some sort of sysop guide to tell users who RationalWiki's biggest enemies are and how to recognize chronic trolls such as Ken, Kamen Rider, and Mikemikemev so that minimal time, attention, or energy is wasted on them and they can be promptly blocked and ignored whenever they resurface. I don't think this page per se — a simple list of banned users with minimal context — is the way to go about it. Even if the mods did care to maintain it, we block so many spambots every day that it would end up being cluttered with small fry. The aim of the list would be to avoid feeding the trolls by showcasing who they are and what they're like so that we can efficiently keep them away. So, no, I don't think we should have a list of every banned user — just the ones who insist on constantly coming back to start more shit. And really, the only reason we should have it is for the benefit of new users, especially new sysops, so that they know how not to edit pages and how to recognize and avoid feeding the big trolls. (Seriously, we don't want any Ken false positives, since he's just slippery enough that we sometimes end up having prolonged conversations with him before we realize who he is, kick him out, and shut down his threads, so mistaking a newbie for him and banning them by mistake would be extra-tragic.)
