Bradley Manning [edit]
First, learn to sign your name, you just left your wikicode and not your name on my page. Second, Bradley Manning's a guy, we have reliable sources on it (driver's license, U.S Military Record, Pretty Much every reliable publication ) everyone calls him Bradley, except Bradley. He's Bradley, and for my next trick, I think I"ll even move the article :) DeadMan Wonderland 8 April 2014
I totally understand this isn't a transphobic wiki, it's a rationale wiki. Nothing's more rationale than the truth. He's Bradley Manning, legally and with reliable sources ( which is essential on a BLP) . therefore, the only rationale title for that article is Bradley Manning. Chelsea Manning doesn't even exist yet and would fail notability, so once again, we're left with the only rationale choice. Call him Bradley and have the article reflect the same. DeadMan Wonderland 8 April 2014
- She identifies as female and there is a preponderance of learned thought in this area that says it's meet and proper to represent her as such. Which is what we shall do. --MtDNotorious Sodomite 23:10, 8 April 2014 (UTC)
- EC --> First, learn to sign your name with the requisite links to your user page and talk page, as opposed to a red-link to a non-existent article page. Second, she wants to be called "Chelsea" and referred to with female pronouns. That's a reasonable choice, and there is no reason to disrespect it. TeenageWasteland (talk) 23:11, 8 April 2014 (UTC)

Lost[edit]
How can you not like Lost? The confusing plot was the whole thing! You were supposed to figure shit out for yourself! Ugh! Anyway, sorry for that. What kind of shows do you like? DØØM MĖSSIÅH Fuck all you gun-toting hip gangster wanna-bes 07:21, 12 May 2014 (UTC)
- The show felt like it dragged on, taking to long to reveal a mystery that was never much of a revelation and constantly adding in twists. As for shows I do like, my favorite show of all time is Babylon 5. My favorite show on TV right now would be Supernatural, with the just canceled Star Crossed being a close second (nooo! Star Crossed, why? This is like Firefly all over again). I generally have a varied taste in tv programming, but I tend to gravitate more towards comedies and sci-fi/fantasy. Although I've certainly enjoyed my share of dramas, ranging from Breaking Bad to Gossip Girl.--"Shut up, Brx." 16:18, 12 May 2014 (UTC)
- Meh, I personally really liked the twist thing- I actually kept, like a notebook thing the whole time, where I'd write down clues and shit. I haven't watched Supernatural yet- it sounds okay, but it's also generated a big "fandom" thing on Tunblr and stuff, like The Hunger Games, which is generally a warning sign (for me) that it's pretentious teenage romance claptrap- is it anything like that- i.e. Hunger Games, Divergent, Twilight, John Green, etc? Or is it just plain ol' good programming? My personal favourite show/franchise thing of all time (including Lost, and a few others) is probably Battlestar Galactica (as well as Caprica, Blood and Chrome, etc). I'm also into historical fiction stuff, like Vikings, and Hornblower- have you ever watched any of those? You really should, they're cool. I'm also trying to get into Breaking Bad an House of Cards, but for BB, they only show a couple of reruns every now an then, and on HoC, here in Australia, you have to record most of them, which is shit because I can't do that until I get Foxtel at some point- the only other solutions are to buy the DVDs (which are too expensive) or illegally download them (which I am firmly against). As well as all the srs bsnss, I'm also into lulz like Family Guy, Simpsons, Futurama, Father Ted, Blackadder and all kinds of things. So yeah. How about music? What kind of music do you like? I always ask this, because music is sorta my specialty, so yeah. It's always interesting to hear other people's tastes. DØØM MĖSSIÅH Fuck all you gun-toting hip gangster wanna-bes 10:45, 13 May 2014 (UTC)
- I haven't read or watched any of the stuff you mentioned, so I'm afraid I can't tell you if there are similarities. I guess you'll just have to give Supernatural a try. A shame you're limited to what comes on TV, though. If you start watching Supernatural, you should start from the first season.
- I've enjoyed some of the "lulz" shows you've mentioned. The cutaway gags of Family Guy tend to grate at me, but I have appreciated American Dad. I also liked Futurama, although the last two seasons really rushed downhill. IMO, the show jumped the shark on the cat episode where the cats started dancing the can-can out of nowhere. And I tended to like the show more for the rich and interesting setting than for the humor (although I often found it quite funny).
- As for music... I have fairly varied tastes, ranging from Lady Gaga to the Stooges. As I'm typing this sentence, I'm listening to Chiasm, a techno act. But what I listen to the most would be eighties music, particularly "gothic rock." My favorite band is the Sisters of Mercy, with Siouxsie and the Banshees and the Cure close runners up. The top three songs on my Top 25 Most Played playlist on my computer would be
- Primary- The Cure
- Detonation Boulevard- The Sisters of Mercy
- Cry- Siouxsie and the Banshees (actually, Superstition is one of my favorite albums of all time)
- Moya- Southern Death Cult (a band better known as the Cult)
- Vision Thing- The Sisters of Mercy
- I even went and found links to Youtube for all of them, if you've the time and curiosity. It weren't no trouble. It was actually kinda fun. I didn't know Detonation Boulevard had a music video.
- What kind of music do you like? And why is it your specialty, are you a musician? I've got some musicians in my family. I've even a hippy uncle who runs a side-business making "green" instruments, such as didgeridoos, wooden flutes, and lytophones (a xylophone made of stone instead of wood). He used to make my brother and I eunuch flutes (although we called them mirlitons). And my other uncle was a fairly accomplished saxophonist, although I don't think he does that anymore.--"Shut up, Brx." 17:18, 14 May 2014 (UTC)

- Anyway, yeah, I'm a musician, which is actually how I make a lot of my money. I'm a guitarist in a few bands, and guitar is my favourite instrument, but I'm also a pretty good bassist, as well as an okay vocalist and drummer/percussionist. While I like a huge large range of musical styles, most tend to gravitate around the whole general rock/metal area. Probably my favourite band of all time is Tool. My absolute favourite genres are mostly old-school rock, prog, metal, punk and (good) alternative- though I'm also a fan of many other artists that don't really fit in to any of that, such as Leftfield, The Streets, George Benson and a couple of really awesome classical guitarists. As you don't appear to be a massive metalhead, I'm not going to bore you with a whole bunch of genre descriptions- one sub genre I'd really like to point out, however, is doom metal- arguably the most obscure and varying of all the main metal genres. In essence, it means, essentially, metal that is designed to be slow, crushing and atmospheric, as opposed to fast and thrashing. While traditional doom is awesome, having such loose boundaries means that you can get so many different styles within the genre- death/doom (doom metal + death metal [bands like Cannibal Corpse]), sludge (doom metal + hardcore punk), stoner doom (name speaks for itself), drone doom (doom turned up to 11), funeral doom (death/doom + funeral music)… it's all really cool. If you like, I can show you some songs? Just out of curiosity, what's the most obscure band you know and like? \m/ESSIAH 11:27, 15 May 2014 (UTC)
- I know of doom metal. I used to be really big into metal. I really liked Anathema and Paradise Lost. My uncle used to make my brother and I mix cds, and he often included the two. I think the first Anathema song I ever heard was Empty. A pretty good introduction. You're welcome to share some songs with me if you wish. As for the most obscure band I've ever liked, that would probably be the Abecedarians. I only heard about them through a hipster friend that took their records and digitized them. You can find some of their stuff on Youtube. My favorite song of theirs would be Spaghetti Western.--"Shut up, Brx." 18:23, 15 May 2014 (UTC)
- That's awesome! Anathema and Paradise Lost are both doom bands (along with Electric Wizard) that I've been wanting to get into for ages, but never got around to it. You should check out these bands:
- Mournful Congregation. Probably one of my favourite doom bands, and definitely my favourite funeral doom band. This is the best song for getting into them.
- Khanate. Holy fuck, these guys are disturbing. This is probably one of their softest songs.
- SUNN O))). Probably the most famous drone doom band. This is one of their coolest albums.
- Teeth of Lions Rule the Divine. Essentially SUNN O))) + the vocalist from Napalm Death + a drummer.
- Om. Cool stoner doom, sometimes reminiscent of Tool.
- Eyehategod. Essentially rednecks + Anal Cunt + doom metal.
- Skepticism. One of the original funeral doom bands.
- Earlt Pantheist. More funeral doom. Haven't listened much to their later work, but it was a pretty big change.
- diSEMBOWELMENT. Death doom.
- The most obscure band I know is probably Stargazer. Weird, but cool kinda avant-garde death metal. The bassist is the vocalist from Mournful Congregation (though he doesn't do vocals in SG, which is bad). Anyway, let me know what you think! \m/ESSIAH 07:48, 16 May 2014 (UTC)

Hi, sorry for bothering again. Have you seen my latest post on my talk page regarding softening the tone of the "troll or stupid" box on CC and adding a pointer to my talk page where I can respond to it? Since you've admitted that your text there was part of an argument with me, it would obviously be not nice to give me no technical means of responding. (I understand you're not motivated to argue, but that's your choice, whereas I'm being hindered by technical means.) I've also asked RNS to please remove the filters so I can post my response, because apparently it's getting caught (maybe because I'm including the existing text on the CC page; I suspect the filters are whole-text match in addition to certain web links). Banning threat[edit]
The banning threat is real. Do not revert what FE deletes, or do so at your own risk. Sterile (talk) 16:34, 2 October 2014 (UTC)
- Uuuh, why? What risk? Did Nutty Roux get appointed emperor of RationalWiki when I wasn't looking? And why have you taken it upon yourself to be his herald? AFAIK, Nutty Roux deleted a talk page discussion for no reason other than that it bothered him. His status as an MIT experiment to create a white radish infused with the hatred and malice of the entire human species does not give him the right to police the wiki with no explanation.
- And he's tried permabanning me a number of times before, by now he's probably figured out he's not allowed to do that (though I admit I know little of how radishes think, let alone genetically modified radishes)--"Shut up, Brx." 17:04, 2 October 2014 (UTC)
- Use your head. There's a damn good reason he deleted those comments. Hint: they were speculative at best about a guy who has made legal threats in the past. Reckless Noise Symphony (talk) 17:07, 2 October 2014 (UTC)
- No, I got appointed to be a corporate officer, in which capacity I never blocked you and never would have until you started exulting in causing this kind of trouble. I most certainly will block you if you wish to edit war with me over material you most certainly know is of the same nature as what got the RMF sued and what has garnered unnecessary legal threats. And yes, I am allowed to do that. I'd 'love' to see you roll the dice. I know you thrive on negative attention and not only don't care about this site or the foundation, but exult in causing trouble, but I recommend you follow RNS's advice and use your head. You've done this before. In fact, you've done this every time. As to things that are larger than you simply being a waste of a person, you don't get any more chances. - Use your head. There's a damn good reason he deleted those comments. Hint: they were speculative at best about a guy who has made legal threats in the past. Reckless Noise Symphony (talk) 17:07, 2 October 2014 (UTC)
- Brx, I say this wearing my RMF board member hat: please step away from the Kevin Martin talk page, it is actually a legal quagmire of a piece. Look, Brx[edit]
I'm asking you as a friend; please just step down. Nutty was right this tine; that shit was libellous and dangerous to have on the wiki. Please, I understand your feelings towards Nutty; but goddammit, just let it go! Also, there's a thing at the moderator place about your sysoppery, if you want to go there. My advice is that you just step down and stop going on about this, because if you don't, I think that it's quite probable that you will remained unsopped, or even banned, for some time. I'm not going to get any more involved than this (also, I'll unblock your IP if that hasn't happened already); but as somebody who likes having you around, I don't want you to get removed from the wiki. My advice? Give it a couple of hours, a day if you must. Cool down. Before typing anything, think: "how is this going to help me out?". So yeah, please take my advice. It appears that you have been unblocked. Please, please, please just leave it there. This whole drama shit doesn't need to escalate any further than it already has. Don't piss off RNS or Nutty or anybody; try laying low for a little while, maybe. Just don't keep going on about the Kevin Martin shit, because even though it doesn't really concern me (I've technically LANCBd), this whole shit was unnecessary and silly. So yeah. Just my advice. (Also, please don't interpret this as me attacking you. I don't really care about the whole situation, I just think that it's counterproductive to continue it. THE GREAT RIGHTEØUS DESTRØYER I know the pieces fit, because I watched them fall away 14:02, 10 October 2014 (UTC)
- Thank you, again, for your concern. I wonder why I was unblocked. Maybe he thought over the "toxic troll hellbent on getting RationalWiki sued into oblivion" thing and realized that all I was doing was talking and asking questions (pointed questions, with good reason- not JAQing off. If I was JAQing off I would have asked something to the effect of "why does RNS have long spikes on his head, and why are they called death spikes? Does he use them to murder people? I'm just asking questions!")- although some might argue that that's all that MarcusCicero did (albeit with far greater consistency, a far worse attitude, and a lot less productivity between the arguments).
- Makes me very curious about the alleged Foundation discussions that were to be held about me. But don't worry, I'm dropping the matter. The community is largely uninterested, and those that have decided to participate in the discussion were all against me. Coopings used to involve a lot more people, but I suspect that now people are either unfamiliar with the process, fatigued, or fearful of sticking their necks out lest they be ostracized by the wrong people for having the wrong opinion. It might be for the best, since the wiki used to suffer a whole lot of drama, often cyclical. Now, the only "regular" drama would be when Nutty Roux attempts blocking me (for existing or whatever). And even that has become banal. However, there are still disputes, and with the absence of moderators, there's little recourse for resolving problems between legitimate editors (here defined as anybody who isn't some crank who only signed on to edit war over their pet topic). All we can do is try and talk it out (futile if there's a longstanding grudge or if one of the participants is just an asshole) or hope it goes away.
- Also, do me a favor: if you're a sysop, put my talk page on your Watchlist and try to unblock me should Nutty Roux or one of his sbires try to unilaterally permaban me, as they are wont to do.--"Shut up, Brx." 18:18, 10 October 2014 (UTC)

- Ah, so it was all out of the kindness of your heart. Well, thank you. I appreciate not being blocked. Editing through Tor is annoying, and I have things to do here which don't concern you or Kevin Martin or libel. Unless you think my article on milk might get us sued? I'd hate to get into another tiff about that.
- Also, you'll see that I clearly noted that the coop was not going in my favor. I am not so vain as to ignore what my eyes tell me.--"Shut up, Brx." 18:34, 10 October 2014 (UTC)

Seeing as how you said that milk is one of your choice topics here, I thought you might appreciate Lewis Black's commentary on the topic. Reckless Noise Symphony (talk) 09:05, 11 October 2014 (UTC)
That blew over quickly[edit]
When I left home you were being perma-banned by the usual suspects; I've been away from internet connections for a few weeks so no ability to see what has happened here (actually not true, my flight had wifi connection but I'll be fucked if I eat into my mile-high drinking time for internet matters). It feels like just yesterday that RNS was borderline about to hunt me down and stick me like a pig, and yet when I pop in to have a look you guys are now on friendly terms... 2 weeks - long enough to go from toxic troll hell bent on getting rationalwiki sued into oblivion to not a bad bloke. Feel free to tell me what happened since I have obviously missed alot.
I request your arbitration at the chicken coop[edit]
I request your arbitration and or assistance in dealing with WatcherintheDark among others at the chicken coop, I think a website dedicated to debunking things should debunk them, even if it means using Wikipedia as a reference sometimes. Thank you for your consideration. Exiled Encyclopedist (talk) 15:52, 23 October 2014 (UTC)
"Worrying about people unblocking you"[edit]
I am not worried at all. If you think your block enforcement is mean now, just know that neither I nor anybody else has even begun to be heavy-handed. You lost. You lost in the coop, you lost your appeal to the Board. You and the rest of RW's Tea Party Patriots need to get over your delusions and accept reality. Did you actually send this, or is it spam?[edit]
Did you actually send me an email from a Venezuelan IP address, or is it spam? I'm guessing it wasn't actually you, but hey, what do I know. Kind of odd timing considering the other two emails I received threatening to "dox me and all the other people trolling RationalWiki." Anyway... I know you can't edit here so just email me whether to say whether or not it was actually you; I'm not clicking that link until I hear from you specifically what that link is supposed to be. - It's definitely spam. I'm way above that shit bro.
- Well it came from your email account, so you better change your password. DMorris, on the EIP Network 1 855 282 2882 14:23, 15 November 2014 (UTC)
