Yes, welcome, Javascap. I must have missed you when you first arrived here.

While I myself am an atheist, I have great respect for those who choose to reconcile religion with science. Though you might want to watch out for the less tolerant atheists here. Nonetheless, I hope you enjoy being here! --Star of David.png Radioactive afikomen Please ignore all my awful pre-2014 comments. 18:04, 9 March 2008 (EDT)

Remove that template once more & you'll get a block. It's not about composition - it's about CONTENT! SusanG  ContribsTalk 16:58, 7 June 2008 (EDT)
Than tell me, please, WHAT content are you looking for? WHAT does this essay need to be touched up and bought to the standards this Wiki hosts? If you will spell out, in black and white, what I need to do, than I will do it. Javascap 17:00, 7 June 2008 (EDT)

Question[edit]

As you stressed on the message you left me, the template is about content. I am asking you to define what content that template refers to, so I can fix whatever problems are associated with is (without, obviously, deleting it.) Please answer in a clear, concise format so I can fix whatever problems are in my essay. Javascap 17:05, 7 June 2008 (EDT)

(More de-polluting)

Start with "Before I even say another word.... " and go on to: "receiving money from the government." : Just change everything in between. SusanG  ContribsTalk 17:12, 7 June 2008 (EDT) SusanG out. SusanG  ContribsTalk 17:12, 7 June 2008 (EDT) (AND KEEP OFF MY TALK PAGE.)
Susan, it's an essay - Javascap's personal thoughts. He may be totally wrong, in some people's opinions, but we invite people to do this on our main page! Can you try to just make good counter-arguments on the talk page and keep the tone neutral if you can't manage friendly? After all, you never know, we might succeed in convincing M. Javascap to alter his/her opinion - but only if we engage him. If we/you are so freaking right on this it ought to be easy to gently share why. ħumanUser talk:Human 17:26, 7 June 2008 (EDT)
Susan, it seems to me that the template you added in is just a matter of you saying "I don't like this, so let's delete it!". Isn't that what is done at Conservapedia, censoring the beliefs of the other person? Looking at every other essay only mine, and the essay on how Athiest can't accept the True God are tagged with that template. Looking at the True God one, the writing style is below the one I used, with short, cut off sentances, unsubstantiated ideas, and poor writing. As per Human, RationalWiki is a palce to share ideas, in this case, my own ideas on Illegal Immigration. If you don't agree, it's completly fine and dandy to do so, but just because you don't like it doesn't mean I spent a few minutes throwing random words together, just because you don't like it doesn't mean it should be deleted. Think about that for a bit (and please, calm down) Javascap 17:46, 7 June 2008 (EDT)
By the way, 'scap, it would vastly improov your essay if you copied it into a spellchecked word processor, if you can't correct the spelling yourself. The endless spelling errors work against any case you might be trying to make. Oh, and a few references for some of your claims couldn't hurt, either. ħumanUser talk:Human 18:39, 7 June 2008 (EDT)

Ah yes, speel chaking (I did a brief touch on your comment, if you don't mind) is a bit of a problem for my word processer... because the only one I have any access to is that of Notepad, which is, as you probabally know, crap. Javascap 19:59, 7 June 2008 (EDT)

Try OpenOffice.org. Blessed be, my son. <font=""; face="Comic Sans MS">Jellyfish!Let's go down the waterfall 20:00, 7 June 2008 (EDT)
Actually the mispelling I made was an intentional dumb in-joke here on RW. You could also use the firefox browser. It is very good, free, and comes with a spell checker that functions while you are editing wiki pages. ħumanUser talk:Human 21:24, 7 June 2008 (EDT)

Your essay talk[edit]

There are a lot of comments on the essay talk page you wrote that have not been answered by you, just to let you know. Lyra § talk 22:22, 7 June 2008 (EDT)

Userbox[edit]

I sorted your userbox out -- it's at Template:user false saint, and it should work now if you want to add it back to that page. <font=""; face="Comic Sans MS">Jellyfish!Let's go down the waterfall 12:40, 9 June 2008 (EDT)

Hey, thank you. I will see if the user box works. I am thinking of adding another one with this statement... "If the Lord is your shepherd, then I am a wolf." Reckon you could help me with that one? Javascap 13:00, 9 June 2008 (EDT)
Just spell shepherd correctly, ok? ħumanUser talk:Human 15:12, 9 June 2008 (EDT)

If you please...[edit]

I humbly request that you block Fr. It vandalises about once a day, so I think we'll need a week-long block to get the message across. Godspeed, Spiderman! 08:37, 9 July 2008 (EDT)

Thank you for alerting me to the said antics of FR. I agree with you, and I will hit with a week long ban. Normally, I would have banned him for a day, given the light actions, but he vandalises every day so... a one day block would do nothing. Javascap 08:40, 9 July 2008 (EDT)
Tanks! 08:47, 9 July 2008 (EDT)
I was toying with the idea of a 2-day block, as anything longer would more likely encourage him/her to create a sock and carry on wandalising. We shall see... Bondurant 08:54, 9 July 2008 (EDT)
Why not just revert the wandalism and put the user in the "vandal" group to make sure they can't do much? ħumanUser talk:Human 20:13, 9 July 2008 (EDT)

Fr[edit]

Did you happen to block his IP and stop account creation? --*Gen. S.T. Shrink* Get to the bunker 20:09, 9 July 2008 (EDT)

That I did, I hit block IP and no account creation. It's entirely possible he is using AOL or a Proxy. Whatever it is, I have a feeling he is digging in for a bit of a fight.. I hope I don't have to lock the page, that would be too CP like... Javascap 20:12, 9 July 2008 (EDT)

Well hell, you don't have to do that. Just revert it. Come up with something clever. I RickRolld him myself. --*Gen. S.T. Shrink* Get to the bunker 20:14, 9 July 2008 (EDT)

This is someone who makes one easily revertable edit each day and we're actually wasting time blocking them? ħumanUser talk:Human 20:15, 9 July 2008 (EDT)
EDIT CONFLICT:I am honestly thinking that maybe there is no point in blocking him. True, it is a bit annoying when he adds in a pointless, annoying edit, but how long does it take to fix? (Human hit the nail quite well) With regards to that fact, I think vandal group is good enough, let him edit, and let us revert. Javascap 20:18, 9 July 2008 (EDT)
He's such an idealogical vandal it is doubtful he will go onto anything else. I'm just wondering if he's actually associated with the Fred Phelps. But somehow I doubt Fred Phelps or any of his family could figure out these newfangled computing devices. --*Gen. S.T. Shrink* Get to the bunker 20:21, 9 July 2008 (EDT)

Article Creation?[edit]

Hey, I signed up mainly to create an article on "Schlafly Scrutiny" (a term used in the CP talk pages during the Lenski Affair to criticize Andy), which is demanding that a researcher turn over ridiculous amounts of data to anyone who asks, rather than providing enough information to replicate his experiment, and accusing those who refuse of fraud.

Problem is, I can't figure out how to create an article.— Unsigned, by: Mustex / talk / contribs

Search for the term "Schlafly Scrutiny" on the search box, when you fail to find it, click at one of the links at the top saying "Create this page" or something. Or just click this instead. NightFlareStill doesn't have a (nonstub) RWW article. 22:37, 19 July 2008 (EDT)

look through the help files. There's one on article creation (I think). (Sign using 4 tildes [~~~~] please.) SusanG  ContribsTalk 22:41, 19 July 2008 (EDT)
I see you've found out how on your own. Great work! Have a goat. NightFlareStill doesn't have a (nonstub) RWW article. 22:43, 19 July 2008 (EDT)

I will freely admit that I am a tad good at reading small font, but I did not think that other people may not enjoy said small font. ĵ₳¥ášÇ♠ʘ I know Anonymous user adheres throughout mandates.

To be serious, I am implementing a peer review service as per Talk:Main page, and am starting to write up the rules. To make it easier to find, I am thinking of putting it on a sidebar. ĵ₳¥ášÇ♠ʘ I know Anonymous user adheres throughout mandates.
Peer_Review|Peer Review helps? Kettle Kin (Version 2.0) 22:23, 2 September 2008 (EDT)
This has not been discussed anywhere. Could you please start one on the sidebar talk page before making these changes. 22:32, 2 September 2008 (EDT)
Sounds fair enough. =) ĵ₳¥ášÇ♠ʘ I know Anonymous user adheres throughout mandates.
That's good. I am not against the idea it is just we should discuss thing first and see what everyone has to say. 22:37, 2 September 2008 (EDT)

At the very least, build it first, before linking every page on the site to it. And note, we already have several processes in place to sort of do what you envision. Keep the discussion at talk:main, I think. ħumanUser talk:Human 23:47, 2 September 2008 (EDT)
