- What's a screensaver? Oh, wait... that's one of those things that were in use at the time of 8" floppy disks, right? --Just passing by 04:03, 5 October 2008 (EDT)
- No, we were using 3 1/2" floppy disks by then. Radioactive afikomen Please ignore all my awful pre-2014 comments. 16:46, 5 October 2008 (EDT)
- I thought real "screen savers" were more around the time of the 5" disks? Back when our main applications would burn into our monochrome screens if left on too long? (I know I had an orange one I could read words on when it was off...) Although I guess the problem lingered on into the 3 1/2" days... ħuman 16:44, 4 December 2008 (EST)
- Mine went up to 11. Smyth 16:59, 4 December 2008 (EST)

- Mine also: Sinclair Z80 but the first computer I ever worked with had those big spinning tape drives in an air conditioned room. and marmite 04:06, 5 March 2009 (EST)
- My first computer was made of wooden beads sliding on metal rods. --Just passing by 04:17, 5 March 2009 (EST)
- Luxury! We had to move our beads in grooves in the table. (when I say "beads", I mean dried Heinz beans) (and when I say "table", I mean cleared patch in the earth floor) and marmite 04:23, 5 March 2009 (EST)
