Welcome[edit]
Because of your edits to and time on the wiki, Autopatrolled has been added to your user rights. This lets you bypass most of the abuse filters, bypass the CAPTCHA, and edit more frequently. If you have questions, bleat ask away.
We hope you enjoy your newfound POWER — and these external tools:
- Google Scholar Button (Chrome, Firefox) searches your highlighted text in Google Scholar. Easily check academic citations!
- web.archive.org and archive.today, among other tools, can save permanent copies of webpages. Never lose a crank website or racist Tweet ever again! Bongolian (talk) 03:49, 30 August 2019 (UTC)
Blather and Twitter references[edit]
You should be aware that while it's fine to cite Blather, as far as I can tell Blather is not archivable at either archive.org or archive.is. Also for pages about living people, it is especially important that there be a reasonably permanent link confirming any statements made by or about the person. Twitter is not very permanent since it's generally not automatically archived (for public access) and because tweets are easily deleted by the posters. To compensate for this, you can use either archiving site to make a permanent copy of individual tweets that you cite. Bongolian (talk) 18:10, 15 September 2019 (UTC)
- @Bongolian one important thing to note about Blather is that it is a form of archiving. If a tweet is loaded on there before it was been deleted on Twitter, it will be saved. For example, Candace Owens' now deleted tweet about Cesar Sayoc's pipe bombs that were sent through the mail can be found here. I don't even think a fallacy has to be assigned to the tweet in order for the tweet to be saved.
