EdmundBurke template[edit]

Really necessary? I see this turning into another really, really shitty HCM where that template gets bandied about. Forgive me for saying so, but I don't find it very useful... SJ Debaser 16:33, 24 January 2010 (UTC)

I have mixed feeling about that template. I just thought it might be helpful to remember there is no chance EdmundBurke is not MC. -- =w= 16:36, 24 January 2010 (UTC)
I know you meant well, I just think the whole thing would be easier if people just left him alone. SJ Debaser 16:48, 24 January 2010 (UTC)
Good. The template encourages people to leave him alone. And to be honest I fail to see how reminding people who he is is less useful than just saying "Fuck off. I don't care". -- =w= 17:27, 24 January 2010 (UTC)

I'm quite calm, actually[edit]

Maybe you should tell your neo-pagan buddies that aping the same imaginary friends as the Hammerskin Nation is not a good way to be taken seriously? Not my fault they get so sensitive and defensive when racism or Nazism are mentioned. Otherwise people might turn their eyes on them, and we can't have that, now can we. — Unsigned, by: 174.22.67.138 / talk / contribs

ListenerX's odinism has nothing to do with this conflict. But I'm glad you're calm. It's a good thing. -- =w= 19:44, 27 January 2010 (UTC)
My point was a blanket statement calling the British Empire "the most violent in history" is opinion. Acei9 19:45, 27 January 2010 (UTC)
And my big point was that a genocidal, imperialistic Empire which murdered millions and enslaved ten times that for cheap tea and sugar shouldn't have an article about how quaint and funny they are. People will debate about things like the Armenian Genocide, the Holodomor and the Holocaust until the sun burns out, yet when someone dares to even mention the British and their terrible misdeeds throughout history, it is perpetually ignored. Are you all that big of suckers for the accent, or is it just not worth talking about when it's swarthy heathens dying? — Unsigned, by: 174.22.67.138 / talk / contribs
Whatever, get some sources together for the claim. Having an unsourced "The British Empire covered x territory" is one thing but an unsourced statement about genocide is another. Acei9 19:58, 27 January 2010 (UTC)
Get together some sources? That would be just about the first time ever on this Wiki. I don't know why I'm being held to a high academic standard while neo-Pagans are writing huge screeds about how they're NOT RACIST and that burning cross is actually symbolizing the strength of Thor. If you get your little over-sensitive babies to call off the dogs, I'd be glad to write a real article about the British Empire, instead of just "LOOK HOW CUTE THEY ARE! AREN'T THOSE ACCENTS CUTE? AWWW! HE'S PLAYING WITH AN INDIAN SKULL! HOW CUTE!"— Unsigned, by: 174.22.67.138 / talk / contribs
I do not understand this obsession with the British accdent. I hate the Brits. Lived there for over a year and got sick of them very quickly. That said, if you are going to accuse a nation of genocide then source it so it doesnt look like opinion. Its like calling someone a rascist without backing it up, it comes across as opinion. Acei9 20:10, 27 January 2010 (UTC)
The fact that I should even have to back it up is proof of just how devious the Empire was. If I said "The Nazis comitted genocide", no one would question that statement, yet if I said "British imperialism was a violent, bloody affair which killed millions and left entire regions of the world shattered", I would need a college level dissertation to back it up. Heaven forbid if I tried to write "After raising the taxes on the bottom 2 Indian castes to levels that essentially rendered them slaves, the British then violently suppressed the ensuing rebellion in 1857, resulting in many millions of deaths. They were so thirsty for blood, that they surrounded the city of Delhi, murdered every living inhabitant and razed the city to the ground, with a young British soldier writing .... All the city people found within the walls (of the city of Delhi) when our troops entered were bayoneted on the spot, and the number was considerable, as you may suppose, when I tell you that in some houses forty and fifty people were hiding. These were not mutineers but residents of the city, who trusted to our well-known mild rule for pardon. I am glad to say they were disappointed." I would apparently need all the libraries and scholars on earth to "prove" it, even when a simple Google search would show that it did happen.
I will urgently write an article about how British people are cute. -- =w= 20:07, 27 January 2010 (UTC)

Some advice or something (a drunken rant from your local spikey-haired punk)........[edit]

Regarding a certain someone, just let them talk to themselves on their blog they created to talk to themselves on, and sit back and laugh at it. More importantly, however, is that if they show their ugly mug around here, change the subject to something that has absolutely nothing to do with said person, like spaghetti. After all, all that the guy in question wants is attention, just like a 3 year old throws tantrums until it gets attention. If you ask me, his blog is the last gasp of breath from a dying troll, but it will only be that way if nobody acknowledges his existence. Make sense to you? Punky Your mental puke relief 07:11, 18 February 2010 (UTC)

Glad you see my strategy. Now, the next time he shows his ugly mug, put it into action about a topic you want to talk about (like coffee). I am almost certain people would rather discuss coffee flavors than things involving a certain sociopathetic troll. Gooniepunk2010 Oi! Oi! Oi! 17:15, 19 February 2010 (UTC)

Hmm, well thank you, that was easier here than it was on Wikipedia... :) M. C. Escherichia (talk) 17:42, 22 February 2010 (UTC)

It's easier but I think it's also a bit less impersonal. We have a policy of making anyone a sysop as long as they are not actually hostile towards other people. We don't buy into that 'you can't participate on this level unless you prove you're not having fun' stuff. + I think individual bureaucrats have a policy of making people sysops when they like them. Mei does. ^____^ -- =w= 18:03, 22 February 2010 (UTC)

Olry Taitz[edit]

Re your reversion at [RationalWiki:What_is_going_on_in_the_clogosphere]], it's still inaccurate to say that that Firefox marks the page as an attack site when it doesn't. It's fine to say that it occurred in the past, but treating it as current material keeps us on par with Conservapedia.

Also, the Confirm edit extension is acting up, preventing some people from linking to diffs on rationalwiki.com. --69.196.151.226 (talk) 18:21, 24 February 2010 (UTC)

It's under a dated header which makes it time sensitive: it was true at the time. yummy Toast&  honey(or marmalade) 18:26, 24 February 2010 (UTC)
EC - If I were you I would remove the assertion and explain why on the talk page. Wigos shouldn't contain messages between editors - it looks untidy. -- Mei (talk) 18:27, 24 February 2010 (UTC)

Useful Mei needed[edit]

Could you hide the edits on User talk:SRQ girl‎ from the one that is hidden until Nutty removed the libel comment, please? - π 23:08, 25 February 2010 (UTC)

Do you mean you want me to make the libel comment actually invisible? -- Mei (talk) 23:10, 25 February 2010 (UTC)
It is still visible on the intermediate pages, if Nutty has removed it, it is because he believes it is libel and as far as I know he is a lawyer. - π 23:16, 25 February 2010 (UTC)
That works as well, that is how we use to do it before the page histories got to large. - π 23:18, 25 February 2010 (UTC)
Thanks. It's done now. -- Mei (talk) 23:23, 25 February 2010 (UTC)

SRQ girl[edit]

Me getting BaNNeD from conservapedia at school. Yea thought u would like that. Hen Mei, your wasting your time with RW and other wikis. I am one of many girls known as the Banned Cheerleaders' Association & we're the most awesomest of awesomest cheerleaders in Florida and even southern Georrgia and Alabama. Our klan leader who lives in Rotonda West, FL was a wikipedia administrator until she was unrightfully banned because ALL wikis are biased against cheerleaders and as soon as they found out she was one they found da most sorry excuse to ban her. So now we troll wikis because we are totally not losers like the wikifag faction thinks.

OK then. Why am I Hen Mei? -- Mei (talk) 01:02, 26 February 2010 (UTC)
Mei means pretty in the Chinese language, well, PinYin. I assume you know that? Hen just means very. My best friend is Chinese. SRQ girl (talk)

Mei is useful

Hi! I'm Shyenne, a member of secret society Banned Cheerleaders Association, created when a former admin at Wikipedia was blocked mainly because an agest cheerleader-hater looked until he found the most crazy reason to get rid of her there. I don't troll here anymore, and I am totally awesome! I am trying to follow the rules mainly because User:Mei II gave me a second chance that I may or may not have deserved but I'll try to be nice since someone was cool enough to trust me. Sorry for my past meanness. x)

Oh thanks. I like that. ^_____^ I'm actually Japanese. On paper, anyway. 'Hen Mei' sounds nice anyway. -- Mei (talk) 01:13, 26 February 2010 (UTC)
Yea the wikis all say each other suck but they are really all the same, or at least from a troll's perspecitve. All have people that are cool (like you), cunt suckers, nazis, and people who are well intentioned but are assholes just doing their job as part of the hobby. And all hate cheerleaders/teen girls or at least enough users at each wiki do to run us off for no reason. I dunno why they just do and including this one. But you seem nice. x)
I think we have lots of nice people here. I try to moderate the anti-teen bias but I can only do so much. ;_____; -- Mei (talk) 01:57, 26 February 2010 (UTC)
I suppose the same is true everywhere. Wikipedia, Conservapedia, here, everywhere. A lot of mean people don't try to be mean they just do.

Sig[edit]

Yea, I got BaNNeD so the tidles don't really work IP hopping. You could un BaN me? Not that it really matter since I do not help wiki. <3 I know I sign with way too many hearts. ♥ 38.127.225.193 (talk) 01:55, 26 February 2010 (UTC)
If I take you out of the vandal bin, do you promise not to cause havoc and/or break our stuff? -- Mei (talk) 01:57, 26 February 2010 (UTC)
I can not say I would not cause havoc ever again but I wouldn't with the account. I'm starting to feel bad as usual so I might not ever vandalize again or it will be a long time. I can't say I would help though because it's not what we do. One of us once helped Wikipedia and was a very well respected admin, but it got her no where. It is very kind of you to even offer to unBaN me though, it's something I rarely see. I hope you understand why we do what we do. Anyway, have fun. ♥ 207.210.228.40 (talk) 02:25, 26 February 2010 (UTC)
OK. I'm going to unban you. Nothing you did was that hard to clean up anyway :-P And don't worry about not helping - most of us don't help much. We just talk to each other and have arguments. It's surprising fun. -- Mei (talk) 02:31, 26 February 2010 (UTC)
Wow, you're like super cool to do that!!! You should clone yourself and remove the anti-teen bias in the other wikis and then there would be no need for the BCA! x) SRQ girl (talk) 02:44, 26 February 2010 (UTC)
Mei IS useful!!! The Goonie 1 What's this button do? Uh oh.... 02:53, 26 February 2010 (UTC)

sysop[edit]

Can I be a sysop? SRQ girl (talk) 02:02, 27 February 2010 (UTC)

I oppose your demotion. Nutty Roux100x100 anarchy symbol.svg 02:09, 27 February 2010 (UTC)
Why? — Unsigned, by: SRQ girl / talk / contribs (aka Pony)
It would be a better idea if we all just pretend that you're a sysop. If it aids the process, feel free to choose a title from any of the following: Colonel, Admiral, Professor, Inquisitor, Dustbuster, or Pony. I like Pony. --ConcernedresidentAsk me about your mother 02:29, 27 February 2010 (UTC)
Because we don't need to be sysopping people in such a hurry. Nutty Roux100x100 anarchy symbol.svg 02:31, 27 February 2010 (UTC)
Don't forget the vigorous and invasive interrogation she has to go through... question 1: Which anime character best describes you? --PsygremlinПоговорите! 02:37, 27 February 2010 (UTC)
Mei does because she is the mascot of the most awesome wiki person I've seen and I am awesome! :) SRQ girl (talk) 02:42, 27 February 2010 (UTC)
I also oppose this for the time being.--BobIt's cold! 07:39, 27 February 2010 (UTC)
I oppose as well. SQR girl is a recently reformed vandal. Therefore, I think she should have to make more good edits of some kind before I could support her sysopping. Punky Your mental puke relief 08:31, 28 February 2010 (UTC)
Hey there, Shyenne! I'd really like to sysop you, but you've only been here for three days. Don't worry about it though - if you're here longer than a week, there is a 100% chance that someone will randomly sysop you. I am also very flattered you have elected me RW mascot. I will try to live up to the expectations of this position. ^_______^ -- Mei (talk) 05:50, 1 March 2010 (UTC)

Vandalism[edit]

can you check my undo of your talk page and vandel bin of Donna ? Hamster (talk) 05:28, 1 March 2010 (UTC)

I'm not sure what you mean. Thanks for helping me clean up though. -- Mei (talk) 05:29, 1 March 2010 (UTC)
Good job on the combating of vandals lately, including the reforming of the cheerleading one. If I knew how to make one, I give you a barnstar. Anyways, keep being useful! Gooniepunk2010 Oi! Oi! Oi! 05:41, 1 March 2010 (UTC)
Why was there a whole vandal themed around me? I haven't even been here for a couple of days! NONE OF THIS MAKES SENSE. ;______; -- Mei (talk) 05:44, 1 March 2010 (UTC)
Because you are useful, and they are jealous. Punky Your mental puke relief 05:46, 1 March 2010 (UTC)
I think they must have started at the Mei userboxes. I think trolls hate the color blue. It enrages them, much like a bull. -- Mei (talk) 05:55, 1 March 2010 (UTC)
That, or they hate your usefulness. Lord Goonie Hooray! I'm helping! 05:56, 1 March 2010 (UTC)
