Hello and welcome to the rapturous wiki! — Sincerely, Neveruse / Talk / Block 19:48, 7 April 2010 (UTC)

Stop it please. yummy Toast&  honey(or marmalade) 20:02, 7 April 2010 (UTC)

Stop it please. We were very unaware that this is a crime oh wait, you say yourself that wandalism is not a crime. We are also sorry to hear that your Amercian and Canadian governments are liberal faggots (by your friend's guidelines), here in sweden we have a real government and real copyright laws. I've vandal binned you, so your edits are limited to one every 30 minutes. Please stop posting the pirate bay links. Personally I've nothing against that site, and I find their legal page very amusing, but tossing the link around randomly is not a very good idea. Behave yourself and someone will fish you out of the bin. --ConcernedresidentAsk me about your mother 20:08, 7 April 2010 (UTC)

I've laughed at you, so we're tired and limited to zero edits every 30 minutes. Please stop removing my pirate bay links. Personally, I am happy to hear that you find our legal page very amusing, but tossing around legal inaccuracies like RIAA, MPAA, and Wikipedia does scare my parrot. Behave yourself and someone will still fish you out of the bin and laugh.

I've read that legal page before. Shame all the stuff is so old. But it's nice to see you trying.--BobSpring is sprung! 20:56, 7 April 2010 (UTC)
The retractable baton line was pretty good. TPB, the laws that protect Pirate Bay aren't necessarily the same as those that apply to RW. Pirate Bay links aren't in themselves a problem, but your edit pattern was somewhat unconventional and resembled a spammer or a TPB fan boy. It's not bad to add some links, but not in such a way that it appears you're shoe-horning them in or actively encouraging people to go to the site and violate copyright laws. --ConcernedresidentAsk me about your mother 20:59, 7 April 2010 (UTC)
Is it really illegal to link to the pirate bay? I thought the issue here was just hostile promotion. Mei (talk) 21:15, 7 April 2010 (UTC)
As far as I know, it's not illegal to link to anything illegal. The link itself isn't actually illegal and can't be copyrighted. Think of it like trying to copyright your mailing address. — Sincerely, Neveruse / Talk / Block 21:17, 7 April 2010 (UTC)
EC)Shouldn't think so but it's a fucking crime against RW to spam fucking stupid links all over the wiki. yummy Toast&  honey(or marmalade) 21:18, 7 April 2010 (UTC)
Aye. — Sincerely, Neveruse / Talk / Block 21:20, 7 April 2010 (UTC)
There's a difference between posting a link as a reference, and posting one suggesting it as a good place for downloading specific titles. WP links to Pirate Bay, but not to search results or with the advice that their readers can go there to find x movie. It's the latter, and the apparent shilling that seemed iffy to me. --ConcernedresidentAsk me about your mother 21:23, 7 April 2010 (UTC)
I agree. I mentioned on talk:Neveruse that I think linking to specific things is risky. TPB could be a good link for an article on Fire-sharing, possibly? Mei (talk) 21:25, 7 April 2010 (UTC)
While linking to TPB and suggesting that the reader download illegal material may or may not be illegal, we don't want Trent taken to court to find out. -- Nx / talk 21:29, 7 April 2010 (UTC)
I think the public perception of wikis is such that if the link was removed we would probably get away with it. I likewise do not want to find out though. Mei (talk) 21:34, 7 April 2010 (UTC)
TBP (F) --Swedmann (talk) 21:37, 7 April 2010 (UTC)
Mei, I went ahead and added it to piracy. Good idea. Even the BBC links to the basic site, so I reckon we're safe enough doing that in the correct context. I even added MPAA and RIAA links for good measure, and may Hell itself rise up to claim those two organisations. --ConcernedresidentAsk me about your mother 21:45, 7 April 2010 (UTC)
Hell already did that, and this is the result. Stupid hell. Also, I prefer this [1]. Mei (talk) 21:51, 7 April 2010 (UTC)
