Message from the RationalWiki Ministry of Demotion and Personal Impediment[edit]

Dear Theemperor/Archive1,

We regret to inform you that you have been demoted to the rank of sysop. You are requested to report to a bureaucrat, at your nearest possible convenience, to be assigned a mop and bucket for the purposes of cleaning up the mess around here. If you have any further questions please refer to the enclosed pamphlet So you are now a sysop.

Your Sincerely,

Sir Reginald Albert Humfildink-Hollingsworth the Third,
Under-secretary of the Chief-secretary of the Personal-secretary of the Minister.

Please do not revert talk page edits...[edit]

...unless there is REALLY good reason (hate speech, personal info, etc....) Thanks. TheoryOfPractice 21:11, 15 January 2009 (EST)

Signing[edit]

Hey, M. Emperor, can you sign your talk page comments using four tildes, so it leaves your name as well as the timestamp? Thanks... ħumanUser talk:Human 16:15, 20 January 2009 (EST)

Thanks! By the way, I hear Elba is nice this time of year. ħumanUser talk:Human 17:18, 20 January 2009 (EST)

Sig[edit]

You are going to dump masses of code every time you sign like that. - User \scriptstyle\int_{-1}^{1}1/\sqrt{1-x^{2}}dx 22:48, 30 January 2009 (EST)

How should I sign then... Wikin000b speaking POWER! UNLIMITED POWER!You paid the price for your lack of vision 22:51, 30 January 2009 (EST)

I should fix the guide up but it is a mess. What you need two subpages User:Theemperor/Sig/name and User:Theemperor/Sig/talk and then translude them on User:Theemperor/Sig. - User \scriptstyle\int_{-1}^{1}1/\sqrt{1-x^{2}}dx 22:58, 30 January 2009 (EST)

This is a test{{SUBST:User:Theemperor/sig/name}{{SUBST:User:Theemperor/sig/talk} 23:59, 31 January 2009 (EST)

Epic Fail! Theemperor

This is also a test{{SUBST:User:Theemperor/sig}} 00:06, 1 February 2009 (EST)

Dammit! I need to figure out substitutions

And I think you need to check (or uncheck) a box in your prefs. ħumanUser talk:Human 00:08, 1 February 2009 (EST)

Hmm. Let's try now {{SUBST:User:Theemperor/sig}} 00:10, 1 February 2009 (EST)

To hell with it. Halp!

Did you try unchecking/checking the "plainsig" box yet? ħumanUser talk:Human 00:15, 1 February 2009 (EST)

Checked box {{SUBST:User:Theemperor/sig}} 00:17, 1 February 2009 (EST)

And unchecked box.{{SUBST:User:Theemperor/sig}} 00:18, 1 February 2009 (EST)

Are you checking the Raw Signiture and are you saving your preferences? - User \scriptstyle\int_{-1}^{1}1/\sqrt{1-x^{2}}dx 00:19, 1 February 2009 (EST)

Yes, but what is the deal with the text appearring to be SUBST:User:Theemperor/sig? {{SUBST:User:Theemperor/sig}} 00:23, 1 February 2009 (EST)

Just type {{User:Theemperor/sig}} into the sig, check the Raw signiture box and save. - User \scriptstyle\int_{-1}^{1}1/\sqrt{1-x^{2}}dx 00:26, 1 February 2009 (EST)

Another test User:Theemperor/sig 00:30, 1 February 2009 (EST)

Shit!

It should be {{User:Theemperor/Sig}} (see: The Emperor Kneel before Zod!) ~Ttony21(talk, contribs) 00:39, 1

February 2009 (EST)

Excelent. I knew I was missing something obvious. Thanks alot, guys The EmperorEverything that has transpired here has done so according to my design. 00:44, 1 February 2009 (EST)

Oh, that's strange, every time you type that code into your preferences it turns it into {{SUBST:User:Theemperor/Sig}} so it still drops a ton of code. ~Ttony21(talk, contribs) 00:52, 1 February 2009 (EST)
Yes, because templates have to be reinserted into pages on every page load, and that takes cpu time, so I guess the mw developers felt there was no need to do that for sigs. You can trick the software by using a second template -- Nx talk 05:35, 1 February 2009 (EST)
To stop you dumping masses of code, change the contents of User:Theemperor/Sig to; [[User:Theemperor|{{User:Theemperor/sig/name}}]][[User talk:Theemperor|{{User:Theemperor/sig/talk}}]] as it puts down all the code that on the page you are signing with. - User \scriptstyle\int_{-1}^{1}1/\sqrt{1-x^{2}}dx 05:51, 1 February 2009 (EST)

Congratulations Theemperor! You have been further demoted to the rank of RationalWiki Bureaucrat. Here is your new mop, and you can find Namewashing soap and UserRightScrub over here. Try not to go too mad with power now! Javasca₧ current location: above the common daffodil

I think the process of 'crat selection needs to be sorted out; i.e. some consultation is needed. Cubic cubic Phantom Hoover! 15:01, 2 March 2009 (EST)

I have no powez! No block! I'm a harmless old man! Anakin, tell him not to kill me!

I won't do anything to you, but 'cratship shouldn't be given out this liberally. You've been here less than six months, after all. Cubic cubic Phantom Hoover! 15:05, 2 March 2009 (EST)
I apologize if this hurts your feelings, Theemperor, but I'm decratting you. I know edit count is not important in the least for these sorts of things, but heaven's sakes, you have less than 200 edits—you haven't contributed that much. Dammit, well, I will have to try some other time. My reason for cratting Theemperor was the fact that he has been here for 6 months, and I trust that he knows wnough about the community not to blow it up, and he can be trusted to demote and promote accordingly and not go completly nuts. Brilliant! I think this thing has potential to be even more epic than the SQG! We could even have them fight it out on talk pages. I love that we both thought of doing this today, hahaha. But Ken is so ripe for this kind of thing, I'm surprised the idea didn't come up before. Excellent work! --Purple George!YossieSpring in Fialta 23:09, 3 March 2009 (EST)

I am seriously pissed off.[edit]

Writing something stupid and then putting CUR's sig on it to make fun of him? And then banning him for a day? Don't be such an asshole. TheoryOfPractice 19:26, 10 April 2009 (EDT)

Very well. I did it FTL, but Mei continued reverting after it was no longer lulzy. The EmperorKneel before Zod! 19:28, 10 April 2009 (EDT)

We don't have a three revert rule. User:Mei 19:29, 10 April 2009 (EDT)
Yes Mei, but you don't have to continue reinserting thing after thay are no longer funny. Stop while you are still laughing, don't keep reverting just to piss off CUR. The EmperorKneel before Zod! 19:32, 10 April 2009 (EDT)
"I'm right even though my first justification was bullshit" = you just lost all my respect. MeiRobot1 19:34, 10 April 2009 (EDT)

TOP, I have better things to worry about. The murder mystery I'm working on is going to expire tommorow- and the fact that it takes place in an ancient manor occupied by shapeshifters doesn't help one bit. --<choose>

No CUR, if you had better things to worry about, you wouldn't just follow Mei around reverting her edits. The EmperorKneel before Zod! 19:38, 10 April 2009 (EDT)

Can we not pick on CUR all the time? Wait until he does something silly (he will!) & then lambast him. Prodding him is rather futile - brings bear baiting to mind. ToastToastand marmite 19:41, 10 April 2009 (EDT)

What like making an exact replica of Felidae? MeiRobot1 19:42, 10 April 2009 (EDT)
Prodding me about that is acceptable- but that was about the image, not the article. Notice also that I'm waiting for community approval (if it ever comes!) to move it to mainspace. --<choose>

<option>Input The ResistorOutput</option> <option>CoyoteOver 450 pages watched NOT including talk pages</option> <option>The Trickster</option> <option>Acionyx</option> 19:44, 10 April 2009 (EDT)

The official rules of CUR poking[edit]

  1. Wait until he does something stupid (he will).
  2. Poke endlessly for a few minutes.
  3. Just when he's about to lose his head, stop.
  4. Repeat steps 1-3.

--<choose> <option>Input The ResistorOutput</option> <option>CoyoteOver 450 pages watched NOT including talk pages</option> <option>The Trickster</option> <option>Acionyx</option> 19:44, 10 April 2009 (EDT)

Several things wrong with your post

  1. It won't ever get moved to mainspace
  2. Mei and I continue poking until it no longer is lulzy, not until you almost lose your head. It's often quite funny when you get angry. The EmperorKneel before Zod! 19:46, 10 April 2009 (EDT)
You can't make a page in userspace and then move it. Wikis aren't meant to work that way. Anything you're able to do because its in your userspace (and not main) is going to have to be removed eventually. You're just torturing yourself. MeiRobot1 19:48, 10 April 2009 (EDT)
