Is this a bot?-αmεσ (!) 22:38, 15 September 2007 (EDT)
- Welcome, you monster, you. Shit. one day, RW will not only be automated, but so will it's editors!!! Goatspeed!!! humanbe in 02:23, 16 September 2007 (EDT)
Fully dynamic, fully automated content delivery and creation.....hmmmm..... tmtoulouse nettle 02:25, 16 September 2007 (EDT)
- Excellent out first WikiBot! - Icewedge 02:28, 16 September 2007 (EDT)
- RW is finally hit puberty! tmtoulouse nettle 02:29, 16 September 2007 (EDT)
- hahahaha. Can you change its edit comment from "test" to "pwned" or sumthin? humanbe in 02:36, 16 September 2007 (EDT)
- It appears to be done, I assume it won't have much work to do anymore. A one time moment to shine. But ACD is now fun site wide. tmtoulouse nettle 02:59, 16 September 2007 (EDT)

ACD Bot - do yo do what I think you do?[edit]
Is your objective in life to turn all fun:refs to Fun:refs?
If so I have a Complaint against you. A quick check reveals a number of articles which still have red links to fun:sumthing. Among them are the following:
- Bipolar bear
- Menopause
- Cognoscenti
- Fun:Six
- Fun:Forty-two
- Fun:Even Number Prime
I have not fixed these in case you which to examine yourself for problems.--Bob's your uncle 06:53, 16 September 2007 (EDT)
- And now "WTF" I see that our two top red links are fun:PI and fun:water. With fun:French and ACD Polar Bear coming in at 14 and 15. Again I won't touch them so that you can have a look at them.--Bob's your uncle 08:02, 16 September 2007 (EDT)
- Although I see that now some "fun:"'s (such as fun:Polar Bear) are being converted manually to "fun:"'s even as we watch.--Bob's your uncle 10:31, 16 September 2007 (EDT)

- Finger stuck on apostrophe? SJGsjg 10:37, 16 September 2007 (EDT)
- Quotation marks and apostrophes are slightly different my dear. Those who who live by pedantry shall die by pedantry. --Bob's your uncle 10:44, 16 September 2007 (EDT)
- Finger stuck on apostrophe? SJGsjg 10:37, 16 September 2007 (EDT)
Yes, but (she said pedantically) you don't need an apostrophe in (plural) ACDs - illiterate Spaniard - if you do it means "owned by ACD". So there! [known as "greengrocer's apostrophe" (as in "apple's £1.40/kg)] SJGsjg 10:55, 16 September 2007 (EDT)
- I disagree. It is quite acceptable to put apostrophes to indicate plurals after initials. Please read http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Acronym_and_initialism. So there. Death by pedantry indeed. --Bob's your uncle 11:19, 16 September 2007 (EDT)
Liberal references cut no ice with me! The apostrophe protection society disagrees. [1] SJGsjg 11:28, 16 September 2007 (EDT)
- Furthermore Michael Swan's "Practical English Usage" ISBN 0 19 431197 x agrees with me that after capitalized acronyms an apostrophe "s" may be used. So there. --Bob's your uncle 11:37, 16 September 2007 (EDT)
- An abbreviation of the first letters of a phrase or the long name of an organization that forms a word or conveys a message. In electronic communication or online documents, acronyms are used as writing shorthand or a method to communicate humor. Examples include IMHO (in my humble opinion), F2F (face-to-face), and WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get). See http://www.marshall.edu/isp/ct107/emoticons.html for an online reference to frequently-used acronyms.

Furthermore
- FUN is a well known acronym for: For Ur KNowledge.

- Wriggle, wriggle, wriggle. SJGsjg 12:35, 16 September 2007 (EDT)
- I have shown that: (1) It is quite acceptable to put apostrophes to indicate plurals after capitalized acronyms and (2) that the two items I used were acronyms. Your response is "Wriggle, wriggle, wriggle." Where can I go from here?--Bob's your uncle 12:48, 16 September 2007 (EDT)
- Wriggle, wriggle, wriggle. SJGsjg 12:35, 16 September 2007 (EDT)
Just don't do it, it looks ugly & I don't like it. Please? SJGsjg 12:58, 16 September 2007 (EDT)
- Well I've given you two sources which say it's acceptable. Here's a third one from the Oxford Dictionary. Apostrophe .... sometimes used with "s" to form the plural of a letter a figure or an abbreviation. eg. ...."all the MP's". I'm really sorry you don't like it, but even using the most proscriptive version of grammar imaginable (something which I'm not that keen on anyway) it is acceptable. --Bob's your uncle 13:31, 16 September 2007 (EDT)
