So they finally caught the master of sock puppetry before he became a sysop?
- Finally made sysop. When is the great finale coming? What cunning schemes will the master of socketry delight us with? Auld Nick 11:59, 7 July 2007 (CDT)

- Oh, I think you do understand the question. You seem like a sensible and reasonable sort of bloke. And a Brit to boot. OK, so you read the Daily Mail, but nobody's perfect. Just why, when so much of CP is complete anathema to you (witness your CP user page), do you support it? You're a breath of fresh and comparative reason there but your Mr Hyde keeps breaking free. (All said with respect and irreverence, btw :) Ajkgordon 17:11, 12 March 2008 (EDT)

Lib'ruls[edit]
Hi "the Fox"! Let me congratulate you again on your brave stand against the "liberal smear" series. I hope you'll be able to eventually take them down, and I'm glad that you think they're poor education for children indeed. Welcome, and let me know if anyone treats you poorly, I'll smack them around.-αmεσ (soldier) 17:55, 12 March 2008 (EDT)

- BTW, as the father of a girl, I very much appreciate your quotes....but as a slightly overprotective paranoiac, you might wish to leave the pics off, even in this rarely-visited corner of teh tubes.-- -PalMD --Did that sound a little harsh? 20:23, 13 March 2008 (EDT)
- Heh, while I understand the sentiment, and appreciate the concern, its okay - #1 would shoot anybody who messed with her, and I would shoot anybody who messed with #2. As for the pics, well, they're just pics. People will be people. I think you'd have to live in my precise village to recognize us, and the mid-east to recognize eldest :) V. vulpes 20:28, 13 March 2008 (EDT)

- "#1 would shoot anybody who messed with her, and I would shoot anybody who messed with #2". Isn't it the police who should deal with such matters? As a Daily Mail reader I am concerned. You are showing a worrying disrespect for the rule of law. Or is it just macho hot air? Auld Nick 08:29, 17 March 2008 (EDT)
- I read more than one newspaper. And besides, you should know by now that I have no regard for the establishment in Britain. Or is that just trite baiting? V. vulpes 08:33, 17 March 2008 (EDT)
- You sound decidely anarchic and liberal. According to the trustworthy enclopedia the rule of law is a basic conservative principle of governance by laws, not men. As to catching spiders, it's an activity of which I have never part taken. Auld Nick 09:43, 17 March 2008 (EDT)
Damn...[edit]
From your userpage: " I have only ever shot at two people in my life, and they both lived :)" Only two people ?!? Damn the life in the US is exiting :) Timppeli 20:31, 13 March 2008 (EDT) Edit: Sorry, you are British, but never the less...
Be careful. There’s a daughter wiki project connected to this Wiki. It’s Rationalwikiwiki. And it’s not as charming as your daughter.
.Here’s what they wrote about me. And they’ll block me if I try to edit it. I came here as a rationalist freethinker trying to further their freethinking cause. And they rewarded me with humiliation. I don’t know what they’ll do to you. You can check my block log on this wiki. See ifs they punish me for warning you.Barbara Shack 16:06, 14 March 2008 (EDT)
- Hi Barbara. First, I was gutted to discover that I didn't have an entry on RWW :D But in fairness I guess I have been the subject of more than a few swipes - deserved and undeserved, but meh - here in WIGO etc. But I don't mind too much - there's a streak of vanity in most of us that follows those insightful words of Mr. Wilde: "The only thing worse than being talked about is not being talked about." (Aside: I once dated a charming young lady named J---- Wilde, and it took me three months to realize why her cat was called Oscar. Love is blind lol.) I'm sure that they like you more than they like to admit, so don't let it get to you :) V. vulpes 16:27, 14 March 2008 (EDT)
- Hi Barbara. RWW is not affiliated with RW - it was set up and is run but some unknown person or persons who enjoy taking the mickey out of what happens here on RW. You came here to RW to contribute, but the they who "humiliated" you are not RW. It's another web site. And I note your block log is empty, does this make you feel left out? That can easily be remedied with a few amusingly short blocks for random hilarious reasons. human 19:34, 14 March 2008 (EDT)
Some old speculation[edit]
If you would, could you undelete "User:Mtur/The evils of Wikipedia being repeated here" on Conservapedia? It was something I wrote back when I was a bit more naive about what CP was about. Conservative deleted it as a speculation and rant. If nothing else, just copy the text and paste it over here (or even toss it in a mail message) and delete it again. I'm curious what I wrote and how its turned out. --Shagie 00:18, 15 March 2008 (EDT)
Israeli Army[edit]
So my 17 year old nephew has it in his head to run off and join the israeli army. My dad is getting my sabra cousins to talk to him about it, but what's your take, out of curiosity?-- -PalMD --Did that sound a little harsh? 12:30, 15 March 2008 (EDT)
- I believe that it is a worthy cause, and the first step for him in making aliya. If that at the moment is not his aim, it will still allow him to integrate with his Israeli peers, and military service is, imho, a beneficial undertaking for all young people. Hopefully, it doesn't always involve exposure to combat, but it does instil certain characteristics that will stand any young person in good stead through the rest of their lives. If the concerns are about the dangers, he can of course always volunteer for cp:Sar-El initially. The main thing is to discover what his real motivation for wanting to serve actually is - is it about aliyah? A spiritual undertaking? A wanting to "stand up and be counted"? Or just youth's longing for adventure and excitement? Certainly in the last case, Sar-El is preferred. V. vulpes 12:48, 15 March 2008 (EDT)

Eve[edit]
Still active on there? I've picked it up since November when the mac client came out. --Shagie 23:16, 31 March 2008 (EDT)
- No, my account there is "dormant" - I'm waiting for AoC in May, and what with wanting to finish up a few achievements in GW, plus the more important real life stuff, I just never had time. My wife works overseas a lot, and so although I have a lot of free time, I couldn't fit EVE in the way I'd liked to have. Had some pretty intense sessions though; I was in... "a huge alliance" and flew a lot of covert ops, stitching people up left, right and centre :) I gained a bit of a reputation for having a lot of patience, and podding people while they were AFK. Softly softly catchee monkey :D V. vulpes 20:03, 4 April 2008 (EDT)
- The appropriate response to this given what I've seen on eve forums is... "Can I have your stuff?" :insert appropriate non-12 year old smiley here: --Shagie 20:06, 4 April 2008 (EDT)
- Heh, nostalgia overcame me and I just looked up the killboard - my last solo kill was a vaga with my Ishtar last December, and my last gank was against a megathron. Good times, good times :) V. vulpes 20:13, 4 April 2008 (EDT)
- Haha, I still have a lot of cash and a few nice boats on that account. I think I'd need to resusbscribe to access them. If I do, I'll give you a shout. V. vulpes 20:14, 4 April 2008 (EDT)
- I've got a 30 day game time card sitting around if you do want to come back. CCP (two C,s not three) even has a secure isk - gtc trade setup. You can buy a game time card from someone else (who paid for it with real money) for in game isk. --Shagie 20:27, 4 April 2008 (EDT)
- Thanks for the offer; I'll give you a shout here at RW when I'm in a position to put in some time there. A couple of boats I'd like to keep for occasional future use, but certainly you're welcome to the rest and whatever multimillions are still in the wallet. I have a shed load of skill books too, *IIRC*, and a lot of other things clogging up the hangar (including more than a few frozen corpses:D). I think the most basic boat I have is a fully rigged Drake, so that will give you some idea of the ISK that's going to waste. I don't recall if that's an active or passive tank on the Drake, incidentally - I've been to sleep a few times since then. I think I have a Hulk too, which I ransomed from someone but never bothered learning to pilot. Anyways, gimme a week or two to get other stuff straightened out and I'll holler :) V. vulpes 09:17, 9 April 2008 (EDT)
