Rabid theism, that's why. --"CURtalk 19:42, 18 February 2009 (EST)
It's not wandalism, though. So the unwelcome is inappropriate. --Kels 19:43, 18 February 2009 (EST)

Odd sort of name. What's the significance of it? --Gulik 19:49, 18 February 2009 (EST)

My name, from Latin, means God's gracious victory. It is a combination of Shane and Tori.
god will not have any victory here. Sorry. --"CURtalk 19:55, 18 February 2009 (EST)
CUR strong anti-theism borders on irrational, especially if you are just making broad statements and insults instead of logical arguments. - User 19:57, 18 February 2009 (EST)
Sorry, you must have me confused with Susan. I am not a strong anti-theist. I am merely pointing out that unless he can offer us excellent proof of god's existance (the Bible doesn't count, sorry), that we will not believe him, just like you do not believe therianthropy (hmmm. . . Christian conservative meets evil therian- this could be interesting!). --"CURtalk 20:01, 18 February 2009 (EST)

God may not force you to accept His existance today, but rest assured that when your time comes, you will realize the magnitude of your mistake, and on that day, He will have victory. — Unsigned, by: Shatoyaah C / talk / contribs

He will have victory when my theriotype changes to a Vulcan/human/angel/vampire/moron/etc. Which it can't. --"CURtalk 20:04, 18 February 2009 (EST)
"theriotype" is as silly as the idea of God, minus the modicum of respect that comes with an idea being around for a few thousand years. TheoryOfPractice 20:06, 18 February 2009 (EST)
Gad, I'm sorry I mentioned the word. But Native Americans had similar ideas about animals. But can we get back to bashing this idiot? I only mentioned it because a theriotype can't be human or a species from a science-fiction series. --"CURtalk 20:08, 18 February 2009 (EST)
We don't feel like "bashing this guy" he has done little to offend our sensibilities unlike someone. - User 20:10, 18 February 2009 (EST)
Homophobia and behaving quite a bit like teh assfly doesn't qualify for bashing? Okay, how about refuting? --"CURtalk 20:11, 18 February 2009 (EST)
The is nothing to refute all he has done is state his position, until he give his reasoning there is not a lot to argue about. - User 20:13, 18 February 2009 (EST)
His assertion that we will suddenly become 'good christians' can fairly easily be refuted. --"CURtalk 20:15, 18 February 2009 (EST)

OK, Shatoyaah C is probably a troll. I can tell from the pixels and having seen quite a few trolls in my time.DSFARGEG 20:07, 18 February 2009 (EST)

To you, ConservapediaUndergroundResistor, I can say that after looking up "therian" I am horrified at what you have chosen to identify with. From your misplaced belief, I can assume that you are almost hopelessly misplaced in what you worship, yourself. Understand that only through God can you fix that.

God may not force you to accept His existance today, but rest assured that when your time comes, you will realize the magnitude of your mistake, and on that day, He will have victory.
I agree fully. And on that day, I can only hope that my obeisance to Cthulhu will be sufficient to be eaten first, so I won't have to witness the horror of what It does to the rest of you poor saps. Do You Believe That? --Gulik 06:16, 20 February 2009 (EST)

Keep your whiny religion and your judgment to yourself, please[edit]

I can't imagine what it takes to believe in a god who would punish all human and animal kind cause some people in a town sinned... who would kill 40 children cause his priest asked him to, or would state that it is acceptable to kill in his name, but if this is the god you believe in, please keep it to yourself. Walking into other people's homes, as it were, saying they are wrong, merely cause they think your sky god is a figment goes directly against what the teacher Jesus stated you should do. Yeah, that's one of those bits that, like "sell all that you have and give it to the poor", is just too inconvenient for most people to bother with. --Gulik 06:12, 20 February 2009 (EST)

An apology[edit]

While I may find your superstitions a little odd, and some of your opinions rather vile, I wish to apologize on behalf of myself and any other RWians who wish to be apologized on behalf of for CUR's embarrassing and insulting reaction to you and your presence here. This place may not be your cup of tea, but we welcome any and all who wish to come here and discuss the site's premises and articles. Peace, ħumanUser talk:Human 22:08, 18 February 2009 (EST)

I pretty much got an 'unwelcome' the moment you people found out about therianthropy. So either tolerate my views and I will help you, or do not and I will continue to harass this user in exactly the same way you did to me. That is my ultimatum, and it is perfectly reasonable. --"CURtalk 16:24, 19 February 2009 (EST)

I'd just like to add a line of support as well. I probably disagree with this user's world-view and frankly think that he/she is plain wrong - but our community standards on the mainpage state: We ...... encourage those who disagree with us to register and engage in constructive dialogue. Either we mean it or we don't.--Bobbing up 02:23, 19 February 2009 (EST)

I accept your apology without reservations, it would be foolish of me not to do so. I do object to being labled "ridiculous", however. (friggin EC - hehe)Bob, "constructive dialogue" is not telling other people to "turn to god" or that they have "lost their way". That is a behavior I find offensive in anyone. I was told by this person twice (without asking for their opinion) that I should turn aside from my silly little atheistic views and embrace god. That's not making an argument, that invasive proselytizing. Something I abhor, personally.--Sun mowse.pngEn attendant Godot"To-morrow, when I wake, or think I do, what shall I say of to-day?" 16:31, 19 February 2009 (EST)

I call myself that, as well as cheetah, Acionyx, and n00b. CUR, as long is it is capatalized, is perfectly fine. --"CURtalk 16:46, 19 February 2009 (EST)
(EC)To be fair, every post they've made has been "God is right, I pity you", so perhaps constructive dialogue isn't really the intent. It's also highly likely they're a Poe. However, seeing as they've been relatively low-key about it and haven't wandalized anything, I'd say CUR has hugely overreacted. I was rather shocked at how CUR reacted almost instantly as if they'd been scalded. It's weird to see such an extreme sudden reaction like that around here, just to a little light trolling. CUR, you're way too sensitive, and obviously too invested. Step back, stop responding to them entirely. You're not the only member of the community, and if you can't be trusted to keep your cool here then step back and let someone else do it. The "unwelcome" was a bit out of line, but the sharp "please leave" messages were definitely over. Tell yourself it's a parodist if it makes you feel better about it, but there's nothing but your own ego holding yourself in any of these conversations, so it's time to break it off. --Kels 16:45, 19 February 2009 (EST)
