Welcome to the wiki. What, if I may be so bold as to ask, are you still deciding? Or is the answer to that question also undecided? Tetronian you're clueless 19:47, 7 March 2010 (UTC)
- Hello, Tetronian. I'm undecided on a lot of things so far, most notably with science, paranormal claims, and religious ideas. It's not like I'm a crank or woo-person or anything; I try to be very skeptical. I'm just trying to take everything (as in, everything) into account when I make a decision on an idea or topic. It tends to take a while. --Stilldeciding (talk) 23:42, 17 March 2010 (UTC)
- Also, thank you for welcoming me.
- I couldn't agree more! I've always been fascinated by extreme skepticism, and I think we should always question our previously held beliefs. I think it was John Stuart Mill who said that the moment we stop questioning what we think we already know we fall prey to dogmatism. Of course, the problem with extreme skepticism and its variants is that it generally raises more questions than it answers. As a result, I tend to make a few basic assumptions (an objective reality, for example) when engaged in philosophical discussion. Tetronian you're clueless 23:50, 17 March 2010 (UTC)
- Indeed, extreme skepticism would mean skepticism about why we are so skeptical! It's kinda funny actually. And very true, one has to make assumptions; You may know this already, but the brain must make very basic assumptions every day, just so it can function properly. Otherwise, analysis would take too long to do anything else! --Stilldeciding (talk) 00:03, 18 March 2010 (UTC)
- Such infinite recursion frightens me. But, overall, I think that open-minded indecisiveness is preferable to dogma. And that is one of the good things about RationalWiki: debate, discussion, and the sharing of ideas. Tetronian you're clueless 00:11, 18 March 2010 (UTC)

The commotion of promotion[edit]
Congrats! You have met our standard requirements to be made a sysop. Here is your work instructions. The Goonie Punk Can't sleep, clowns will eat me! 03:13, 22 March 2010 (UTC)
- Thank you very much! But just out of curiosity, what are the standard requirments? --Stilldeciding (talk) 03:18, 22 March 2010 (UTC)

Can you attribute the image/tell us about its copyright status, please? Thanks. P-Foster (talk) 00:47, 12 April 2010 (UTC)
- Sure, but I can't tell exactly what to type. On the website, it says this: "Copyright © 2006 Life Technology™. All rights reserved. Webdesign elements, text and imagery protected under the terms of The Digital Millenium Copyright Act 1998." What would I put for licensing, assuming that this "Digital Millenium Copyright Act" is legitimate?--Stilldeciding (talk) 00:55, 12 April 2010 (UTC)
- You would, in that case, delete the image unless you can justify Fair Use. Making a Ratwik article pretty does not constitute Fair Use. P-Foster (talk) 00:54, 12 April 2010 (UTC)
- O.K., sorry about that.--Stilldeciding (talk) 00:55, 12 April 2010 (UTC)
