Expansion needed[edit]

An especially vile site with too much notoriety. Putting this up here as a notice to anyone that wants to help.-Maeve (talk) 00:25, 1 August 2016 (UTC)

Anglin works for the Southern Poverty Law Center[edit]

Anglin is not a real nationalist, but works for the Southern Poverty Law Center. The latter has many spies in the US posing as nationalists, just like how Hope not Hate does the same in UK. Anglin's goal is to demonise Donald Trump by associating him with Neo-Nazism and holocaust denial etc. He wears a pro-Trump hat, yet click on his website and its crazy conspiracy theories about Jews. He's trying to loose Trump as much support as possible.Schizophrenic (talk) 17:57, 2 August 2016 (UTC)

Of course, of course. As much as I am inclined to agree with you, you wouldn't by chance happen to have any evidence for this, would you? – AOAPJM (talk) 18:12, 2 August 2016 (UTC)
Donald Trump isn't a white supremacist or Holocaust denier, by associating his white supremacy and anti-Semitic views with Trump - Anglin is trying to loose him voters. I also went to the Daily Stormer today to see Anglin calling Obama an "ape" and posting a pro-Breivik article. Breivik guy was a mass-murderer, who killed people as young as 14. Do you not see what Anglin is doing? He's trying to demonise nationalism (and Trump in particular) with very offensive material he can find. On top of that, as this RW page points out - his girlfriend until recently was Filipino. He then re-invents himself (literally overnight) as a hard-core fascist white nationalist. I don't think so. He's works for the Southern Poverty Law Center. His real politics views are probably even further left-wing than Rationalwiki. Schizophrenic (talk) 18:38, 2 August 2016 (UTC)

He's praised the death of people, even children, numerous times. Somehow this doesn't turn people off to his site. I wish he actually didn't mean what he says. But he likely does. Part of it is just pandering to his audience.-Maeve (talk) 03:33, 3 August 2016 (UTC)

Yes, so does Michael Coombs (Mikemikev), Anglin's UK equivalent who works for Hope not Hate. No surpise, Michael is also a regular poster at the Daily Stormer.

https://mikemikevwatch.wordpress.com/2016/04/01/michael-coombs-killing-children-is-funny/ These people have the same modus operandi, they sit on forums all day typing obscene statements such as killing children etc. to demonise nationalism. They're far left-wing anti-racists who impersonate far right extremists online, then type ridiculous statements to portray nationalism as insane.Schizophrenic (talk) 15:13, 3 August 2016 (UTC)

Please provide an actual source or evidence that he works or has worked for the SLPC. Other wise, f-off with this conspiracy crap. Petey Plane (talk) 17:16, 12 August 2016 (UTC)

Another one[edit]

"hunt and capture your own women as part of the [club’s regular] operations.” I always love how guys like this tacitly admit that they're losers. Petey Plane (talk) 17:10, 12 August 2016 (UTC)
of course Anglin wants to turn nationalists away from real politics, to crazy militias and violence. This just confirms to me he's an agent provocateur.Schizophrenic (talk) 17:13, 12 August 2016 (UTC)
Again, provide objective evidence to back up your belief that he works for the SPLC. No one cares what you think about him, only what you are able to support. Petey Plane (talk) 17:18, 12 August 2016 (UTC)
That's known as confirmation bias, Schizophrenic. --Castaigne2 (talk) 19:13, 12 August 2016 (UTC)
Petey Plan, what evidence do you have Anglin is a nationalist? You don't provide any evidence for your claims. In contrast I've actually provided evidence. You ran away from it on my talk page, you stop responding once I refuted you. Your posts are filled with words like "objective" and "rational", yet you're a crank - its rather laughable you think Anglin is a nationalist when even a website as toxic to nationalism as Stormfront wants nothing to do with him.Schizophrenic (talk) 14:16, 20 August 2016 (UTC)
When someone launches a few Neo-Nazi websites and writes for them full-time you hardly need any further evidence. You only have provided No True Scotsman conspiracy theories instead for evidence of him being a SPLC mole. Stormfront doesn't want to do anything with him - so what? Can't they have differences? Even Hitler and Mussolini had their differences. Also the bit about him having a Filipino girlfriend, you can find examples of racist white men dating and/or raping POC women. It has happened before. NameThatNobodyTakes () 14:33, 20 August 2016 (UTC)
No, its not only Stormfront criticizing him, but Jared Taylor (American Renaissance) and many others. He's been called an agent provocateur/mole/plant by most other white nationalist groups in America: "it is hard not to conclude that Anglin is a paid shill and agent provocateur, whose purpose is simply to infest and discredit White nationalism." http://www.latimes.com/nation/la-na-daily-stormer-interview-20150624-story.html Right now Anglin is trying to loose Donald Trump voters by associating him with Hitler etc. Most likely in 2017 he will then go on to demonise Marine Le Pen's candidacy for the presidential election in France. Watch his website next year, like what he's doing to Trump now, he'll be trying to loose Le Pen voters. Schizophrenic (talk) 15:24, 20 August 2016 (UTC)
Other white nationalist groups using No True Scotsman to unclaim Anglin from the wider movement is no proof, just as much as any leftists ranging from libertarian socialists to even Leninists claiming that Stalin and Mao were no socialists is any proof of them not belonging under the umbrella of the ideology. You imply as if it's impossible for the far-right to be sectarian when in fact it's far from a mystery that right-wing loons like to other people and be divisive, why should they stop among their brethren? Their entire ideologies mostly revolve around being in a permanent witch hunt! For the record, Trump and Le Pen are doing enough on their own already to be unattractive candidates. NameThatNobodyTakes () 15:50, 20 August 2016 (UTC)
Well, Rationalwiki's proof Anglin is a nationalist seems to be he says he is. Kent Hovind says the world is 6000 years, I guess it must be because he said so. A great rational site you have here.Schizophrenic (talk) 21:09, 20 August 2016 (UTC)
Wow; you feel that was an apt anology you attempted there? Reverend Black Percy (talk) 21:11, 20 August 2016 (UTC)
  • Premise 1: Well, Schizophrenic's proof Anglin is not a nationalist seems to be "not only Stormfront, [...] but Jared Taylor and many others" saying he isn't.
  • Premise 2: "Kent Hovind says the world is 6000 years [old], I guess it must be because he said so."
  • Conclusion: A great rational mind you have here, Schizophrenic. NameThatNobodyTakes () 21:32, 20 August 2016 (UTC)
No I've already listed plenty of evidence. The people here though don't accept it because it doesn't fit with their own bias/politics/worldview. I've shown other people the replies here and even they are laughing at you buffoons. White nationalists have Filipino girlfriends? Thanks for the comedy.Schizophrenic (talk) 23:43, 20 August 2016 (UTC)
The only "proof" was Anglin walking around a mall with a giggling Filipino girl (which also could've just be an acquaintance) rambling about consumerism (the leaked video which only the alt-right cared about) - this could very well been shot back when he was into "all that Communist, Jewish stuff." Look at this if you want an example for white supremacist on POC dating. European conquerors (which let's face it were white supremacists) raped women at every place they invaded. As for my own anecdotal evidence (which should be as strong as an evidence as your conspiracy theories) I knew of a Neo-Nazi who fucked with a Vietnamese woman. Why does it strike you as so incomprehensible that men don't give a fuck about ideology when they want to bust a nut? So you say the people who you've shown our replies laughed because it proves we are buffoons? You only presented conspiracy theories, confirmation bias, argument by repetition and far-rightists using No True Scotsman (which by the way was the only link you ever provided) as evidence. I guess it's time to admit that your "rationality" is burning this site. NameThatNobodyTakes () 09:19, 21 August 2016 (UTC)

The reference is a slur on goldfish - who have a longer memory span than most people who seem to think, and being originally illegal immigrants (without even pet passports) totally unsuited to the DS. (talk) 17:21, 28 March 2017 (UTC)

Good find. Actually, the article text was doubly wrong — not only is extraordinarily poor goldfish memory a myth, the article even read "attention span of goldfish" — despite the fact that the old goldfish saying wasn't ever about goldfish having poor attention span (but poor memory). Double fail. Thanks for pointing this out, I've fixed it. Reverend Black Percy (talk) 18:32, 28 March 2017 (UTC)
The 'who' in my previous statement is superfluous (in many, but not all) cases. I have nothing personal against goldfish (let alone 'whatever the Reagan quote was') - they are decorative (unlike the viewpoint of DS-ers). (talk) 17:47, 29 March 2017 (UTC)
Once again, I have trouble understanding what you mean. But you seem nice. Reverend Black Percy (talk) 17:58, 29 March 2017 (UTC)
'have a longer memory span than most people seem to think...', a half remembered Ronald Reagan quote about not being at war with the fish, and being negative about those consuming the website.
I go for 'UK laconic comments' (and it is convenient to be nice - including to the person offered red velvet cake). (talk) 18:30, 29 March 2017 (UTC)
Still really confused here — though I believe the quote which you refer to was actually said by Bush, not Reagan. Reverend Black Percy (talk) 19:37, 29 March 2017 (UTC)
I was noting that I had put in an extra word in the original comment (and also noting that the incorrect version made sense). Quotes encountered long ago do tend to get reassigned; the red velvet cake reference can be found on the Red Room talk page. (talk) 15:47, 31 March 2017 (UTC)

Decent article with decent organization + disgusting quotes + plenty of sources. What more does it need? Mʀ. Wʜɪsᴋᴇʀs, Esϙᴜɪʀᴇ (talk/stalk) 16:25, 19 April 2017 (UTC)

I would say an easy bronze. Christopher (talk) 18:27, 19 April 2017 (UTC)

The Daily Stormer and similar right-wing groups have been pivoting toward American Nationalism[edit]

The Daily Stormer and similar right-wing groups have been pivoting toward American Nationalism

For the past several months, The Daily Stormer has been pivoting toward American Nationalism. It called itself the #1 Republican Website. Then it was about the NRA. And so on.

If you look on Andrew's Gab account ( https://gab.ai/AndrewAnglin ) for the past several weeks, it's been nothing but Andrew promoting Eastasian girls and anime.

What it comes down to is the modern left considers The Founding Fathers of the USA to be "Nazis" and Andrew Anglin says he's a brilliant marketer so that's what he's doing.

He has a chart here from this article: “Nazi” is a Slur for “White Person”
This is his optics, associating himself with The Founding Fathers of the USA.

Anyway more examples:

For the last one, text search for: Meanwhile, I found this on the “hot terrorist girls” Instagram page
And compare to the other pics. Andrew's finally stopped that promoting Sharia stuff.

He's been doing this stuff for over a year now, the whole rebranding. --Merkel (talk) 08:43, 1 April 2018 (UTC)

Bullshit. ☭Comrade GC☭Ministry of Praise 12:21, 1 April 2018 (UTC)

I'm not saying the website believes in mere civic nationalism. He's just trying to normalize his message. I did more searching and found more articles, many going back a year where he will say he's only about civic nationalism:

Yeah it's just propaganda, but that's what he's saying:

--Merkel (talk) 05:09, 2 April 2018 (UTC)

That's bullshit. He's still a fucking Nazi. He indicates as much on Gab. Bongolian (talk) 05:31, 2 April 2018 (UTC)
Dude, its april fools. Anglin posting he's now renounced racism and become a civic nationalist was posted on april fools day, same for all the above articles such as daily stormer embracing LGBT. Merkel is a troll from Rightpedia.Callimachus (talk) 05:44, 2 April 2018 (UTC)
Daily Stormer changed their background banner for april fools, to promote civic nationalism as a joke. It's no longer april fools but 2 April, so the joke banner has already gone. All the above articles Merkel posted date april fools. If you look at the articles posted today (2 April) they're back to posting their Nazi-style anti-Semitism, crackpot conspiracy theories and crude racism such as calling black people "baboons".Callimachus (talk) 05:52, 2 April 2018 (UTC)

I think this is close to Silver. What do others think? Bongolian (talk) 08:39, 3 March 2020 (UTC)

Recruitment tactics are similar to cults[edit]

Then again, racist groups are cults in a way. --Rationalzombie94 (talk) 17:40, 6 April 2020 (UTC)
