Aboriginal noise[edit]

Finally, I get to use that subject headline. He knows what it means. --Edgerunner76Tah-daaaaaaah! 08:53, 18 July 2008 (EDT)

Have you looked into our chemistry category and/or the chemistry article(s) yet? You might be of great help in expanding, with the proper RationalWiki approach, either or both. --Edgerunner76Tah-daaaaaaah! 09:43, 18 July 2008 (EDT)

Religulous[edit]

It opens tomorrow and the only place it is showing (close within reason that is) is down at the Waterfront. I think that I might just head down after work one day next week (thursday most likely). I should take Kranack with me. --Edgerunner76Tah-daaaaaaah! 12:27, 2 October 2008 (EDT)

Yeah, he'd be down with that. You laugh, he cries, I simply shrug my shoulders. But not Thursday for me. I'll try some other day. Speakerface with 4 M's and a silent Q 13:06, 2 October 2008 (EDT)

Tell me about it. I'm kinda glad I invested money in foreign currency. I'm sure Turkish Lira isn't going to make a big upswing, but others definitely will. Aboriginal Noise Punkrock 23:11, 15 October 2008 (EDT)

There already are some "surprise" states on it. --Edgerunner76Tah-daaaaaaah! 09:54, 29 October 2008 (EDT)

Edit Conflicts[edit]

To resolve edit conflicts that seem to be driving us apart, why not try the following: set up an 'edit conflict' page, one of the two interested parties in the conflict can post their side on the 'edit conflict' talk page, the other party can post a rebuttal, and, given a fixed amount of time, registered users can vote one way or the other, as a mandate from the masses per se. Whichever side is taken by the majority is the direction the article will go. Also, a link on the Main Page and/or the 'Recent Changes' page will aid in getting more users to weigh in. Let's discuss this.

Deleting[edit]

In case you didn't know, we don't usually delete talk pages along with the article. This way we have a record of the deletion debate. Cheers! Totnesmartin 07:10, 27 February 2009 (EST)

Oh. I didn't know. Thanks. Aboriginal Noise Punkrock 08:29, 27 February 2009 (EST)

Name change[edit]

As you can see, it's done. You probably have to change your signature in your preferences. Though I could be wrong. You will need to change the information on the sig and nickname pages no matter what. --Edgerunner76Tah-daaaaaaah! 07:02, 17 April 2009 (EDT)

Thanks. I think everything is in order now. Aboriginal Noise Oh, what a lovely tea party! 08:18, 17 April 2009 (EDT)
As you know, I always thought that this was the best name to go with. I did a Google search (hi Ken

) and, after several pages, could not find the specific obscure reference for our use of the words. --Edgerunner76Tah-daaaaaaah! 13:16, 17 April 2009 (EDT)

Captain Huh[edit]

We should make an account for him and name it Abortional Noise. I wonder how Abortional Noise would go over at CP or aSK? Funny how that name was coined by a devout Catholic. --Edgerunner76Tah-daaaaaaah! 13:04, 17 April 2009 (EDT)

Or have it switch randomly between "aboriginal" and "abortional" and see how many people don't notice or get really confused. ArmondikoVpostate 13:08, 17 April 2009 (EDT)
I can make the randomness happen, but I do not dare do that at aSK. Aboriginal Noise Oh, what a lovely tea party! 13:55, 17 April 2009 (EDT)

Clamscrubbication?[edit]

Aw, go on... Nobody but you would have noticed. Same goes for Iberium (why email Jess?) and the other elemental stuff. We were very upset... Broccoli 17:12, 23 April 2009 (EDT) (On behalf on EddyP, 'WHurst' and others)

Clamscrubbification[edit]

I apologize profusely for clamscrubbification. Also, please ignore the above. He is a bufoon both on the internet and in real life, and he can't play card games worth a damn. EddyP 17:16, 23 April 2009 (EDT)

I understand your feelings about that Broc May I call you Broc?. As far as Iberium, I kinda let it slip in an email, and as soon as I sent it, I asked myself 'Why did I do that?' Won't let it happen again. Thing about the elements, that's sorta my expertise as a chemist, and I absolutely hated clamscrubbification. I suppose I was overly protective (not like a parent to his kids, as I didn't create the articles, just like an uncle perhaps?) but you don't have to worry about that any more. Aboriginal Noise Oh, what a lovely tea party! 17:19, 23 April 2009 (EDT)
As I said, ignore him. He spent his chemistry coursework fusing out the entire lab, making bombs and hiding expensive equipment he blew up. EddyP 17:22, 23 April 2009 (EDT)
You lost at Sevens! You are also the one who suggested 'uncat'ing everthing in retaliation. You spent your chemistry coursework carping and playing card gamesl. Actually, none of my socks ever edited the bromine article, it was all Eddy and Ollie. My vandalism was more biblical. Broccoli 17:26, 23 April 2009 (EDT)
I won't deny that we had some good times with that article. EddyP 17:31, 23 April 2009 (EDT)
Isn't WillTh you Eddy? Well?!?!? Is it??!!

I've taken some time to reflect on clamscrubbification and in retrospect, it is pretty clever. I would have gone with a different name probably, but good nonetheless. Aboriginal Noise Oh, what a lovely tea party! 22:11, 23 April 2009 (EDT)

CP[edit]

Jeez man, I gotta say that you put in some serious work at CP. And I gotta ask......why? Ace McWickedThe Liquid Room 03:04, 3 May 2009 (UTC)

I ask myself that as well. Initially I guess I thought I wanted to see firsthand what you all were bitching about, now I know for sure. As for the serious work, it was winter time, and the weather gets awfully shitty around here. I suppose I had nothing else to do. Aboriginal Noise Oh, what a lovely tea party! 03:07, 3 May 2009 (UTC)
Oh well, shame to waste all that time when you could'a stayed here! Anyway, another question.......Ace McWickedThe Liquid Room 03:09, 3 May 2009 (UTC)
Is this you?
Cute. Honestly though, I would have stayed at both sites, but as you well know they frown on that, and I wanted to (eventually) leave of my own accord. The soap operas were also rather interesting from the other side of the fence. Aboriginal Noise Oh, what a lovely tea party! 03:12, 3 May 2009 (UTC)
Kudos to your efforts though, and managing to remain sane. Ace McWickedThe Liquid Room 03:14, 3 May 2009 (UTC)
I managed to stay sane by not involving myself in the anti-libbrul stuff. I've yet to read the Evolution or Atheism articles for fear my mind may sublimate. I won't let it happen again! Aboriginal Noise Oh, what a lovely tea party! 03:18, 3 May 2009 (UTC)

Yeah, lookit[edit]

I downloaded Broken Steel this morning. So, barring a repeat of The Pitt fiasco, it should be ready if you want to play after work. --Three Dog BOW-WOW-WOW 11:37, 5 May 2009 (UTC)

Oh, yeah, did you notice on the aSK WIGO talk page that you are second only to PJR in edits to aSK? --Edgerunner76Tah-daaaaaaah! 11:41, 5 May 2009 (UTC)
A vast collection of minor edits and an article edited at least 3 times each for each chemical element will do that. Now I'm on a mission to out-edit PJR. I'll show him! As for Borked Steel, I hope to be able to play, but my car has a flat tire, and I probably should attend to that after work. Aboriginal Noise Oh, what a lovely tea party! 12:55, 5 May 2009 (UTC)

Those folks over there in Morgantown can be hard on opposing team fans, that's for sure. On behalf of the good folks in WV I apologize. I saw a study in the paper the other day that indicated monkeys only learn from when they get things right rather than learning from mistakes. Anyhoo, I only gas attack a user's page once. Now you are a true punk here[edit]

Congrats, you've been added to the "vandal" group here. It does nothing (it isn't the same as the vandal bin) but add coolness points to the user.Lord of the Goons 01:46, 9 September 2009 (UTC)

Huzzah! Now I'm official! I'll listen to some Casualties and The Freeze to celebrate. Aboriginal Noise Oh, what a lovely tea party! 01:48, 9 September 2009 (UTC)
And don't forget some Cockney Rejects and/or Blitz.Lord of the Goons 01:49, 9 September 2009 (UTC)
Ooh, Blitz. I'll add them to the playlist. For the record, F|U|X sounds great (sans bad recording), and that is a show I'd like to see sometime. If you ever go on tour, there is a little punk club here called the Roboto Project. The place looks like someone's basement, smells like feet, and is practically destroyed after every show. That is punk rock. Aboriginal Noise Oh, what a lovely tea party! 01:53, 9 September 2009 (UTC)
If I mention Snuff and Lawnmower Deth am I going to sound like an aging crusty? Worm (t | c) 02:00, 9 September 2009 (UTC)
Believe me, I am an aging crusty. Usually I'm one of the elders at any show I go to. But at least everyone is smaller than me if I decide to go into the pit. That is, when my rheumatism isn't acting up (well, not that old). Aboriginal Noise Oh, what a lovely tea party! 02:06, 9 September 2009 (UTC)

Fuck, there was a part of their set when Jorge asked the audience if there was anyone who wanted to play with The Casualties, and they picked my friend Jarek to play bass for "The Oi Song" in lieu of Rick. Needless to say, my friend Jarek was completely fucking psyched, and Rick gave him a Casualties guitar pick initalled by himself afterwards. It was a fuck of a way to end the week, that's for sure. The Goonie 1 What's this button do? Uh oh.... 18:37, 12 September 2009 (UTC)
Aw, Goddammit!! That sounds fucking amazing! I got drunk with Murphy's Law once, but never got to play on stage with anyone. Mike Ness signed my guitar after a show, and Jerry Only of the Misfits "blessed" me with some black makeup. With my luck, they'd pick me for a song I didn't really know. Glad you liked it. It's funny, at F|U|X's first and (so far) only show, In Defence played with us. There was a kiddie pool full of chips for the crowd (I shit you not, FULL of various types of chips) and, by the time In Defence was on stage (3 hours into the show) everyone was sick of the chips. In Defence, who bought the pool full of chips and not wanting any leftovers, changed the lyrics to the song you heard from "Call More Dudes" to "Eat More Chips."Lord of the Goons The official spikey-haired skeptical punk 02:08, 17 September 2009 (UTC)
