Hi

Interesting stuff at Islamic Awakening. We're sometimes criticized for being too anti-christian and not doing enough stuff on Islamic cranks. But do you have any info on the official stance of the website rather then on the individual opinions of the nutty members?--BobSpring is sprung! 21:10, 21 April 2011 (UTC)

The main body of the site seems to be comprised of articles sent in by readers, so it's pretty loose, but I added a new section on evolution which covers an official press release by the site. There's some good crazy in the articles, but you have to wade through a lot of doctrinal waffle to get to it. Balaam (talk) 06:57, 22 April 2011 (UTC)

Islamophobia

You motherfucking Islamophobe fucker, there are lots of fucking anti-Islam wingnuts there. You can creating some fucking articles on those fuckers, but you chose some fringe Muslim groups that do not represent mainstream Islam to make Islam look bad. Your attempt has made a disappropriate coverage of Islam related articles here. --Allah hu akbar (talk) 12:01, 24 April 2011 (UTC)

Meh, I also made articles mocking anti-Islam people such as Alan O'Reilly and Stephen Lennon. Seems balanced enough to me. Balaam (talk) 12:41, 24 April 2011 (UTC)

Koran

Are you intending upon covering all of it, like we do the bible? ТyTalk. 17:43, 13 June 2011 (UTC)

I'm focusing on the weirder bits for now, although covering the whole thing could be a long-term goal. I think most of it should be left to people whoa re more familiar with the subject, though... Balaam (talk) 17:46, 13 June 2011 (UTC)

Race war

I'm adding all the various racial conspiracy theories to your race war article, but most of my knowledge is mostly of the American brands, so you might want to check it out and add more of the Brit/EU variety if it's too specific to the US. Nebuchadnezzar (talk) 22:39, 23 July 2011 (UTC)

Expose Others and Be Exposed Yourself

Balaam/Baljit,

You have gone out of your way to not only ridicule Wodens Folk, a genuine indigenous English folk religion[whose adherents are protected by legislation from discrimination]but you have gone out of your way to make an enemy out of me-not a very wise thing to do as I am not the `forgiving` type. Indeed I believe in paying back in kind for any insult or damage that is done to me. I will give you 24 hours to remove any reference to Wotans Krieger/Wulf V/Arahari/Aryan Lord/Wulf Veldasson from your article or face the consequences. Like a coward you hide behind your anonymity whilst exposing others. You will not be able to hide your anonymity much longer. — Unsigned, by: WotansKrieger / talk / contribs

So is that what this is about? Tmtoulouse (talk) 21:15, 8 October 2011 (UTC)

Oh, very well, if it means that much to you. Say hi to Heimdall for me. Balaam (talk) 09:26, 9 October 2011 (UTC)
Just so you know, Mr. Krieger, I complied and removed all of the information about you as you asked: [1]. Since then, Tmtoulouse put it all back: [2] So I guess it's him you should be after now, not me :D Balaam (talk) 09:35, 9 October 2011 (UTC)
And you will never penetrate my mask of internet anonymity. Tmtoulouse (talk) 09:51, 9 October 2011 (UTC)
But anyways, just so that something productive can come out of this, perhaps you can explain exactly what it is about our Woden's Folk article that you object to. Do you feel that it is inaccurate? Then point out the inaccuracies and we can look into it. Do you feel it violates your privacy? Well, unless "Wulf Veldasson" is your real name, all it does is reprint snippets of messages that you posted online under various pseudonyms for public viewing. Do you feel that the article violates UK discrimination law? I'm afraid that merely criticising a religion does not constitute discrimination.
Or are you just objecting because it casts you in a negative light? Well, lots of people have been criticised by RationalWiki, a number of them have found out, and most seem to react by shrugging, maybe grumbling on their blogs, and moving on. Very, very few resort to the kind of sabre-rattling that you've fallen back on here. Have you stopped to consider how silly you're making yourself look? Balaam (talk) 15:13, 9 October 2011 (UTC)
It's no use crying Arthur Jackson of 47 Railway Cuttings, Balham. Your days of internet anonymity as Balaam are over. Redchuck.gif ГенгисevolvingModerator 15:23, 9 October 2011 (UTC)

Balaam/Baljit

Balaam, Baljit,

Thank you for attempting to remove my details from the article. I notice however that the owner of this site has reinstated the said details. I do not hold you now responsible for this as you attempted to put things right as best as you could. Consequently I am no longer interested in exposing your identity. It is a shame that Toulouse should seek to have my identity publicly exposed in this manner and I regard this as an infringement of my right to privacy. I wonder how he would feel if people started doing a little digging about him? It would seem that there is one rule for "liberals" and another for those who are not ashamed of their race.

Regards

Toulouse,

What I object to is the following:

1. That anonymous posters on forums such as this should seek to expose the real[or what they consider to be the real] identity of other Internet users. Anybody that does this should themselves be exposed. Tit for tat as we say in England. As Balaam has sought to undo his mischief I can ask no more from him. The real fault lies with you, the site owner who has the authority to remove these personal details but refuses to do so.

2. Your article ridicules an authentic expression of an indigenous Germanic religion-a religion which is held sincerely now by many people in northern Europe.

3. Your article is inaccurate. You are under the impression that I am a leader in Wodens Folk. I hold no such office and I am not authorised to act as a spokesman for the organisation. Any comments that I have made about our religion have been my personal views only. I have always made this clear. Wodens Folk is non-political and its members can hold whatever opinions it likes. These opinions have nothing to do with Wodens Folk. By devoting such a large part of the article to me you are deliberately giving the impression that my views are typical of the organisation itself or its individual members. Instead of publishing my personal opinions you would do better focusing on the organisation`s teachings and find fault with them if that is your intention.

By the way you can threaten me with the "authorities" as much as you like -I don`t give a fuck but when my identity is publicly exposed for thousands to read without my consent I reserve the right to do the same thing to the exposer. I make no apologies for that but I would have more respect for a man who did this without hiding behind their own anonymity. I am no longer interested in Balaam-he has tried to make amends and I respect that.[in a non-christian way]. He and people like him are merely puppets in your game. — Unsigned, by: 85.211.53.226 / talk / contribs 21:03, 10 October 2011 (UTC)

  1. Yes I have gone out of my way to cover up my identity.
  1. Our article ridicule all kinds of beliefs both religious and secular that are held sincerely by the gullible. Welcome to RationalWiki!
  1. Inaccuracies are one thing, bring them up on the article talk page and we can work together to create a more accurate article. Check out RationalWiki:Guide for individuals or companies we cover first.

Tmtoulouse (talk) 21:23, 10 October 2011 (UTC)

Any issues with the article need to be brought up on that article's talkpage. I have no idea on the details so I can't comment on whether you have a case or not. I wouldn't hold out hope on things being removed simply because some people are offended by what they say. DamoHi 21:25, 10 October 2011 (UTC)
Fair call on the "leader" complaint. You identified yourself as the "warder" of the "Northlands Gemoot", and I took "leader" to be an everyday English translation. I've since changed it to "warder" in the article. As for implying that your views represent the group, well, the article does contain a line reading "However, he stresses that this is his own view, and not necessarily the position of Woden's Folk". Perhaps the section on you is a little long - maybe someone can add more details about Troy Southgate to balance it.
I must say, I'm still a little baffled as to where you're coming from with this talk of "exposure", though. If we'd given out your real name I would agree that we'd gone too far, but unless I'm mistaken, all of the names it associates with you are pseudonyms.
As for ridiculing this religion, well, we've ridiculed plenty of other religions, so I wouldn't say we're discriminating. Balaam (talk) 21:36, 10 October 2011 (UTC)

Well thanks for that small edit Balaam!! My main concern about the article is that it in part-a significant part portrays the teachings of Wodens Folk via the lens of my Internet articles over a long period of time on disparate web sites and forums and I need to stress that by giving such prominence in the article to my political views it may cause damage to the reputation of the organisation in the eyes of those who may have no political views or those that strongly differ from my own. My work should be treated as the views of a single person not that of an organisation. I really do not see why I should be referred to in the article at all-under any of my identies.

IA members

Does given name matter those who have read articles by Zainab Bint Younus should know. Why dont you become IA member ask of her identity debate with them. IA members cant give false testimony they can post about certain matters in half knowledge confusion from their hearts. speaking about whats being posted influence of it can happen depending on person to person. stopping use of internet starting to live in stone age might do.17br5 (talk) 02:07, 14 March 2012 (UTC)

The main reason I haven't signed up at IA to ask about Zainab Bint Younus's identity is because I've never heard of her and don't really care about her identity. As for leaving the Internet and living in the stone age... I'd rather not, although you're welcome to if you want. Balaam (talk) 12:31, 13 March 2012 (UTC)
