I would not be. Thank you for this excellent site. I think I'll contribute through adding some GOP entries, if that is fine with you. BassoonsAreSexy 17:04, 17 August 2007 (CDT)

A girlfriend of mine played the bassoon. Bassoons are definitely sexy. She also played in a quartet in college called "Chicks With Sticks". Do you make your own reeds? humanUser talk:Human 22:12, 24 December 2007 (EST)

The contrabassoon is easily the sexiest. I do sort of know how to make my own reeds, with my awesome reed knife.BassoonsAreSexy 23:58, 24 December 2007 (EST)
Yeah, I watched her do it... it's a real science and an art, too. Ya gotta have the right glue, and also be able to test your results, right? humanUser talk:Human 00:51, 25 December 2007 (EST)
Don't contrabassoons have a tendency to make a rattling, buzzing sound? Sometimes it's specifically called for by a composer but usually it's an unwanted sound. CЯacke® 01:20, 25 December 2007 (EST)
When I play guitar, it makes a rattling, buzzy sound. So I compose for it... humanUser talk:Human 08:20, 25 December 2007 (EST)
Come to think of it, when I first get out of bed lately I made a buzzy rattling sound or three myself. I think though, it's got something to do with decomposing. CЯacke® 13:49, 25 December 2007 (EST)
Ha! All bassoons make the rattling sound and sound REALLY bad when flat. But buzzing rattling sounds make excellent sexual innuendos. Buttplugs, anyone? (Not the sharp ones, please...)BassoonsAreSexy 16:57, 25 December 2007 (EST)

Wait, what's all this about sexy babboons? --Kels 22:05, 25 December 2007 (EST)

I honestly don't know. The bonobo is much more appealing to me.BassoonsAreSexy 22:19, 25 December 2007 (EST)

luserboxen[edit]

If you want them to display in a column to the right, put {{userboxtop}} before the list of them and {{userboxbottom}} after it. Also, I chased down the lennon one for you. humanUser talk:Human 23:45, 25 December 2007 (EST)

Thanks! Do you have a pro-choice box?BassoonsAreSexy 14:33, 26 December 2007 (EST)
You're welcome. I don't know if we do, but if you go here (accessed from the "help" link, top left) you'll see what we have and instructions on making new ones. If you're lost and need help, let me or someone else know, we can help you build it. humanUser talk:Human 14:39, 26 December 2007 (EST)

Wow, it's been a while. Nice to see you around again! ħumanUser talk:Human 06:17, 9 July 2009 (UTC)

Thanks, Human! I've been around this website every once in a while, but haven't really had the time to do any edits. I also remembered that this community was generally very welcoming, and also not particularly brash in their assumptions, which is hard to do with any blog that has strong political opinions. BassoonsAreSexy 06:40, 14 November 2009 (UTC)
You're welcome - all we expect is that you make your own reeds, and try to keep the farty sounds to a minimum. The bassoon can be a beautiful instrument. ħumanUser talk:Human 06:26, 9 July 2009 (UTC)

Heh, thank you. I promise not to engage in censorship while I am here. Honest...BassoonsAreSexy 06:40, 14 November 2009 (UTC)

Hello![edit]

Greetings, fellow bassoonist. User:Blue/sig3 00:47, 4 October 2010 (UTC)

Greetings right back at you! BassoonsAreSexy (talk) 00:50, 4 October 2010 (UTC)
So what kind of instrument do you have? Blue (is useful) 06:41, 6 October 2010 (UTC)
I've always played on school-owned Foxes. I used to play on 220s, but just started to play on a 240 last month. I like the sound better, but it's much harder to control. BassoonsAreSexy (talk) 06:45, 6 October 2010 (UTC)
