You're free to post your hilarious little conspiracy theory/fire sale stuff on your luser page, or talk page, or any talk page, etcetera, but not in mainspace and NOT on the front page.-αmεσ (historian) 01:29, 18 January 2008 (EST)

Are you as weaselly as your name suggests? --Star of David.png Radioactive afikomen Please ignore all my awful pre-2014 comments. 04:09, 20 January 2008 (EST)

It must be nice to have fantasies.--Bobbing up 05:03, 20 January 2008 (EST)

The Ten, Incentives, and History[edit]

No 90/10, TMT as sysop, Conservative's #1 pet article unlocked (I assume you mean "free to edit" and not "unlocked, but any change will be instantly reverted"), The Ten disbanded? And you sell copies of the "NDS" for... the right to x-ray everybody here and access to The Forum? I'm not sure which one is the sillier joke.

Let's see... you offer information you would have had access to as one of The Ten, and in return, you ask for information that would be of value for The Ten. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm... nope, you're definitely not one of The Ten. No, sir! ;) (It's not really Bad Faith, but rather Occam's Razor and common sense in action - I'm supposed to believe that you hacked the group and will not simply offer our group once you got access to it?)

And while I really don't care which one of them you are, I'll just put it this way:

Back on the CP Column, Geo.plrd offered to review several bans that happened on or around the Night of the Blunt Knives. None of the reviewed people were RW1-affiliated, but to my knowledge, none of them were ever unbanned. When SDG briefly opened, it became clear that Geo was basically smacked down for even offering to look into the bans without asking The Ten for permission.

So whoever you are, do you really think that you will succeed (even if you really want to succeed)? The Ten can't even live with a simple ban review. What makes you think that they will suddenly turn the core CP rules and principles upside down? Heck, even if they officially disbanded, they would still coordinate their stuff somewhere else.

...oh, and I think we actually uninstalled CheckUser. --Sid 07:56, 20 January 2008 (EST)

Edit for Follow-up:

And the problem isn't only 90/10 or whatever. The entire rule framework is ridiculous, and sysops only enforce the rules like they do because they're above them. So you would have to fully reform CP to actually allow people to voice their opinion without being attacked, ridiculed, or simply banned for it. Not even to mention that you'd have to somehow force Andy(!) and others to not use sysop authority to win content debates (see Dawkins, etc.)

I'm afraid to say that the problem is much deeper than most people anticipate. The very foundation is flawed, so correcting minor rules won't really change much. --Sid 08:01, 20 January 2008 (EST)

Ha! Hahahahah! Hah! No. --מְתֻרְגְּמָן שְׁלֹום

Start the bidding![edit]

See???

I'll offer a shiny new penny. It's sooooo shiny, and you can have it for your very own. It's got a picture of the Queen, who are you to say no? --Kels 09:45, 20 January 2008 (EST)

If "Commander Ferret" cared to read his user page and rewrite it in comprehensible English I might chance a couple of euro cents - but as it is, it's a bit hard to follow. Apart from phrases like: only them can the divide heal, it reads like it's simultaneously a threat to CP and an offer to sell confidential information. Which is it? Clarity please.--Bobbing up 10:22, 20 January 2008 (EST)

It's true that checkuser is long, long gone. We could make you a bureaucrat temporarily so you could see this. But I also have serious doubts about Aschlafly and all of them actually wanting, ever, to reconsider their decision to banninate us. I'm sure they'd much rather continue to live the myth of our evil, and their righteousness, than they would like to actually try to learn. I'm sure that Conservapedia tolerance has been "evolving," but, much like the imaginary construct known as a baramin, I'm afraid that there are certain lines of evolution that, for one reason or another, it just can't follow.-αmεσ (historian) 11:25, 20 January 2008 (EST)

So he's selling something worthless for something that doesn't exist? Sounds fair to me! --Kels 11:36, 20 January 2008 (EST)
"We could make you a bureaucrat temporarily so you could see this." - you're joking, right? You would give a ferret user rights management to "prove" we don't have checkuser? Hi ferret! How's the Kool-Aid? humanUser talk:Human 11:49, 20 January 2008 (EST)
Yeah, I guess that would be kinda silly. We should get TMT to look into how it still says we're part of that group, though, on Recent Changes.-αmεσ (historian) 11:57, 20 January 2008 (EST)
It's because the user group is still listed in our records in the MySQL MediaWiki user table. If it existed, we would have access, but it doesn't, so we don't. Do you want me to give Ferret the rights so he can see for himself? --Linus(plot evil tech) 17:04, 20 January 2008 (EST)
You've really gotta stop seriously engaging with the mentally ill, Ames. You haven't got the training for it. --Kels 12:09, 20 January 2008 (EST)
That's an easy one: You still have the CheckUser right, but uninstalling Checkuser led to the entire right being vaped (which is why it's also missing in the dropdown box of Special:Listusers). It's a "King Nothing" situation - you got the right to access a page that doesn't exist anymore. Think of it as the difference between a shortcut/pointer to a file and the file itself: You still got the shortcut/pointer, but the target was deleted. If we installed Checkuser again, the pointer would most likely be active again, and those with Checkuser rights would have access again. --Sid 12:19, 20 January 2008 (EST)

All this chattery reminds me I wish I had seen more of the SDG. NightFlareSpeak, mortal 12:15, 20 January 2008 (EST)

Haha! I'll one-up Kels; I'll offer gigabytes' worth of stolen intellectual property! Let us master criminals and evil hacker overlords trade vitally important international secrets! :twirls moustache: (can you find me an emoticon for that, AKJeldsen?) --מְתֻרְגְּמָן שְׁלֹום

I bid adorable pictures of my cat. Or the full-text of one thread from the Cabal forum, with the understanding that I'll probably fabricate a thread for the purpose of this offer..-αmεσ (historian) 16:44, 20 January 2008 (EST)
