- Ok. I just got back to Chicago after driving 4600 miles to Portland and back with most of it around Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, Oregon, and Washington catching trout and bedding beautiful women. Poached and released an 18 inch rainbow mere hours before opening day on the Salmon river in Mt. Hood Wilderness. Saw the Goonies house in Astoria, Oregon for the second time (it never gets old). Ate a buffalo ribeye after seeing a buffalo in the middle of the road in Yellowstone. Nearly drowned fishing rapids in a box canyon on the Henry's Fork. Did 2 days back country in the Salmon River wilderness in Idaho. Had drinks with Sterile in Seattle. Poached Sterile in Seattle. Thought better of trying to wade class 4 rapids to fish the Flathead river near Glacier Nat'l Park. Caught my first char on the Wind River in Wyoming. This afternoon I got a farmer's tan catching more trout in 9 hours on my home water in Wisconsin than the rest of the trip. Caddis were popping like Orville Redenbacher. Life is good. I also don't want to have to be the only one opposing a single additional rule and then take the kind of meritless abuse I got early on before the mod role was invented but would expect if I acted on my intention of further dismantling the establishment. Pro Se Litigants[edit]
I don't know what kind of law you practice, but have you ever dealt with a Pro Se? This is my first time dealing with one, and as the paralegal who writes lots of boiler plate pleadings, I'm crying in something between tears of laughter and tears of frustration. I don't even know how to approach it, though "fuck it, they are paid more then me, let the actual lawyers respond" sounds really tempting. :-) I just wanted to vent - sorry to whine. (PS. this guy makes orly Taitz look sane). -- --GodotFire! Fire! Fire! (please send spare firefighters) 04:07, 4 July 2012 (UTC)
- Pretty infrequently but when I do it's invariably a mess. They're far more likely than lawyers to take even commercial litigation personally, not that lawyers here don't unnecessarily make cases intolerable by litigating their perceptions of the plaintiff's and his lawyers' characters rather than the facts and law. At the very least it occasions delays you'd never see a court accommodate under any other circumstances. I got sweated moving a hearing to go out of town and care for a friend. Pro ses can sometimes jack a case up for more than a year with extensions, frivolous pleadings, and currying sympathy with a judge. All it does is give them an opportunity to hide assets and drive my bills up. If its a corporation I'll move for a default judgment, since they must be represented by counsel, not some angry small business owner/shareholder. So yeah. They're a pain in the butt. I feel for you. 04:36, 4 July 2012 (UTC)

- Presup It's not how confident these evolutionists are in the quality and nature of the core, it's the fact that the entire methodology is flawed. Evolutionists make bogus assumptions about the past with their uniformitarian belief system. In reality, this is flawed "historical science" based on the false assumption that rates of cosmic ray conversion of N to C14 have been constant over the last 50,000 years. First, the article itself says rates vary! The evolutionists make my point for me! Second, these evolutionists adhere to their unscientific atheistic methodological naturalism, which atheistically methodologically naturalizes supernatural explanations out of the analysis a priori. If evolutionists won't consider thebiblegodditbiblebiblebible, then they are not being scientific and it is knowledge that God is a truth teller who gave us faculties to examine His creation that is the only reason science works. Evolutionists simply do not consider all the evidence. The most probable answer is obviously that Moses accurately took down God's historical account of creation and that the world was created approximately 6,000 years ago according to a straightforward reading of the bible. After all, God is an eyewitness and His testimony is beyond reproach. We all interpret evidence according to certain axioms, or premises that are not susceptible of absolute proof. Well, except creationists have absolute proof the bible is correct. When the interpretation of scientific data contradicts the true history of the world as revealed in the Bible, then it’s the interpretation of the data that is at fault.

A Brief History of the ASCII Penis
Man has always sought to create, and has indeed done so since time immemorial: mathematics, civilization, language. Some of his modest efforts have reached the realm of art, especially as influenced by the primacy of his ability to create. And it is that very intersection that we discuss today: the ASCII penis.
ASCII stands for the American Standard Code for Information Interchange, which is a very long-winded way of saying "default interchangeable character set," or DICS. It is a standard that defines 255 characters that every computer subscribing to the ASCII standard could read and interpret in the same way.
ASCII was derived from telegraph codes, which are lost in the mists of time. Today, ASCII is an aging standard from the 19th century that all operating systems can understand but few depend on anymore. Linux still uses ASCII as its default text-encoding standard and has yet to move to Unicode as most modern operating systems have, perhaps owing to an intense focus on DICS.
The penis, also known medically as the dong, is a long appendage derived from the fetus's clit that shoots sperm into the female vaginal canal for purposes of procreation. It also pumps piss.
In art, representations of the penis are known as phalluses (Latin phallī) and tend to embody the powerful, creational aspect of male fertility inherent in the throbbing, erect nature of the penis. In fact, the first picture ever drawn by a homo sapiens was phallic in nature.
As the phallus is a perennial¹ object of artistic endeavor, it stands to reason that the Internet super-highway's ASCII would converge with drawings of dongs before long. Thus today's many examples of ASCII penis art, with which Internet users copy, paste, and enlighten one another. [2]

PROTIP[edit]
toLowerCase -- Nx / talk 08:32, 29 December 2012 (UTC)
- Cool. Where did I miss that being helpful? I'm coming from ruby so I don't have all the basic methods down as similar as they are. 09:07, 29 December 2012 (UTC)
- Your recent changes filtering highlighting thingy in your monobook. You could use a custom filtering function or just an if, but if you want to be a really 1337 js h4xxor, you can create your own jquery selector like this:
//wrap everything in an anonymous namespace, this is standard practice to keep the global namespace clean (function($) { function icontains(elem, text) { // using logical operators like this makes your code more 1337 and harder to understand, but also more concise return (elem.textContent || elem.innerText || $(elem).text() || "").toLowerCase().indexOf((text || "").toLowerCase()) >= 0; } //createPseudo only exists in Jquery 1.8+, so use old method in earlier versions; RW currently has 1.7 $.expr[':'].icontains = $.expr.createPseudo ? $.expr.createPseudo(function(text) { return function(elem) { return icontains(elem,text); }; }) : function( elem, i, match ) { return icontains( elem, match[3] ); }; })(jQuery);
- And then you can use icontains instead of contains:
$('ul.special>li').filter('li:icontains("moderat")').css({"border" : "1px black dotted", "border-radius" : "3px", "background-color" : "#FFFFCC"});
-- Nx / talk 10:02, 29 December 2012 (UTC) Thanks dude. I think my case insensitive filter method is in the history I wrote it in 1.8.2 which explains why it didn't work. What galled me was not being able to figure out how to pass a variable into the jquery #contains method. I think it only takes a string but then I'm a js noob. I just wanted to put my terms in an array that gets iterated instead of having to use a duplicate anon function for every term. 16:08, 29 December 2012 (UTC)
