- On talk pages, please sign your comments using four tildes (~~~~) or by clicking on the sign button: on the toolbar above the edit panel. You can also indent successive talk page comments using one more colon (:) for each line. Thank you. Bongolian (talk) 06:02, 20 June 2021 (UTC)
- My bad! Thank you! In order to reply, do I just edit the page and add my comment? --NylaTheWolf (talk) 06:06, 20 June 2021 (UTC)

Advice on Quotations[edit]
I would advise against worrying too much about whether commas/periods are inside or outside quotations. As long as it is the same within an article, it is okay; many articles put the punctuation outside, and US and British practice differ anyway. 𝒮𝑒𝓇𝑒𝓃𝑒 talk 01:18, 21 June 2021 (UTC)
- My bad, sorry! I also didn't realize that there was a US and UK difference anyway, haha! So as long as whether the commas/periods are outside or inside quotations is consistent with the rest of the article, it's okay? --NylaTheWolf (talk) 01:21, 21 June 2021 (UTC)
- I would say so. We don't really have an official guideline on this (hilariously, our manual of style uses both styles in it's section on consistency). I did the same thing when I started editing here, and only learned that there is a stylistic difference because of Wikipedia's policy. 𝒮𝑒𝓇𝑒𝓃𝑒 talk 01:25, 21 June 2021 (UTC)
- Thanks for the clarification! I've also noticed that sometimes the citations would sometimes be before punctuation and other times it'd be after punctuation. I've noticed that the quote boxes on that page would have references before the block quote, but then I noticed one block quote had the reference inside of it. Does the consistency rule apply in those cases too, and is there an official guideline on this? --NylaTheWolf (talk) 03:16, 21 June 2021 (UTC)

- Really? Thank you so much! Are the external tools something that was added as a right? Was I not allowed to use those before, or is it something that you are just informing me of? --NylaTheWolf (talk) 21:20, 4 July 2021 (UTC)
