Heh, the famed commenter on Worm? - David Gerard (talk) 12:02, 1 March 2014 (UTC)
- The very same, David Gerard, though it's just a little fame. A teeny tiny bit. And just ignore the one comment where I said something about the Bible and religion in the heat of the moment that made me look like a dumbass. - User:PsychoGecko 3:58, 2 March 2014

- A very good but very dark superhero web serial that finished up back in November. You can read it over at parahumans.wordpress.com. Beats the pants off War and Peace in terms of length, too. Apparently some guy over at Harry Potter and the Methods of Rationality and all that crowd went and read it. Him talking about it meant a lot of that crowd started going there, amazed at people actually using superpowers intelligently. As for me, I took it upon myself to bring my own brand of craziness to the comments section starting around one of the early chapters with wild mass guessing, typos, black comedy, and completely unrelated fiction, which some people say contributed a lot of extra enjoyment. I also started writing welcoming comments of varying length and sanity for people who started catching up and posting that they did so. I like to think I helped build a sense of community. So that's what that's all about - User:PsychoGecko

- It's a 1.75 million word novel about superheroes. It's really very good as well as very long - David Gerard (talk) 12:15, 4 March 2014 (UTC)
On the invention of money[edit]
Just a heads-up: I've replied to you on Forum:There seems to be a LOT of people who hate us.#a few statements, on the very bottom. Thought you might appreciate the pointer/reference. --84.151.172.34 (talk) 20:11, 22 September 2014 (UTC)
Link ...[edit]
... or it could be fiction. Pippa (talk) 13:56, 23 December 2015 (UTC)
- Except it's not. I just figured that while a months-old story could fly in the Blogosphere portion, I hold World to a stricter standard. Psycho Gecko 6:29 24 December 2015 (UTC)
- Fixed the bit in Blogosphere. Would have sworn I put a link in there originally, but I don't know how to do the rolling-back thing to check. I was also badly in need of sleep when I posted it, so it's possible I didn't, but thought I did. Either way, should be in there now, in a version that links to the judge ruling, which is a month more recent than the story about just how bad the conditions are. Signing[edit]
Correct me if I'm wrong, but you appear to have typed out your signature. In case you're not aware, there is a much faster and easier way of doing this. You can sign your comments using four tildes (~~~~) or by clicking on the sign button: on the toolbar above the edit panel. Also, please sign at the end of your comment. Thanks. CowHouse (talk) 14:46, 14 December 2017 (UTC)
- Thank you. In my time on here, you're the first to pass on that information. We'll see how it works, though I've become rather disappointed with the online atheist community as of late. --PsychoGecko (talk) 08:46, 15 December 2017 (UTC)
- You're welcome. Also, if I'm the first, that suggestions our method of communicating how to sign could be greatly improved, although I'm not sure what would be the best solution. CowHouse (talk) 05:19, 16 December 2017 (UTC)
- Could we put a message on how to do so in the default welcome template rather than putting it as a separate parameter? $₽ℛ₶₲₲₶₦₳ (₮₳£Q) (₡¤₦₮ℛ₶฿$) @ 05:22, 16 December 2017 (UTC)
- @LynnR I thought of that as well. The main problem with that solution is that it doesn't help with BoNs who do not get the welcome message. CowHouse (talk) 05:32, 16 December 2017 (UTC)
- That's true. It would be nice if there were a bot that automatically welcomed every BoN so that wouldn't be a problem. $₽ℛ₶₲₲₶₦₳ (₮₳£Q) (₡¤₦₮ℛ₶฿$) @ 19:56, 16 December 2017 (UTC)
- On the edit page there's a whole load of useful things that people can click on to enter symbols etc, including the four tildes thing. However, this is only visible if you scroll down past the grey-lined editing area. Perhaps the four tildes button could be at the top, with a message saying what to do. Boredatwork (talk) 20:09, 16 December 2017 (UTC)
- I don't think we have any way of changing that, it's probably hard-coded into MediaWiki. $₽ℛ₶₲₲₶₦₳ (₮₳£Q) (₡¤₦₮ℛ₶฿$) @ 20:54, 16 December 2017 (UTC)
- There might be some complicated workaround, but yeah, we're probably just going to have to keep telling people to sign, or use the unsig template. Oh well. Incidentally I've just updated template:Sign because it was wrong about the sign button (probably another error caused by the recent MW upgrade). Boredatwork (talk) 22:42, 16 December 2017 (UTC)

@Boredatwork The sign button is still there for me. @LynnR It's still a good idea to put it in the welcome template. A partial solution is better than doing nothing. CowHouse (talk) 03:52, 17 December 2017 (UTC)
