Louis Ray Beam, Jr. (1946–) is a rabidly racist and antisemitic Vietnam War veteran-turned militant who attempted a coup on the US government in the 1980s. Born in Lufkin, Texas, Beam was already a committed white supremacist as early as 4th grade, and his colleagues described him as being "very much anti-Black". To prove how much of a "patriot" he is, Beam enlisted in the US Army and fought in the Vietnam War, (reportedly) gunning down those damn dirty communist Viet Congers. Beam was also an outspoken supporter for the pro-segregationist George Wallace. Upon returning to America, Beam developed a burning hatred of the US government for having betrayed him and his people (read: white "Christian" racists) because they lost the war. Beam would then join the United Klans of America before transferring to the Knights of the Ku Klux Klan, where he became best buddies with David Duke. The 70s and 80s would only serve to further radicalize him, including bombing a radio station of a leftist political party and attempting to assassinate Deng Xiaoping. Beam would also establish a Klan paramilitary training camp near Houston, where he tried to radicalize young boys so he can make them into white racist warriors who will engage in an apocalyptic genocidal race war (which he himself will try to cause). However, his escapades on the seaside town of Seadrift would end with him having to shut down his training camp in 1981. Afterwards he left the Klan and joined Aryan Nations. His stay at Aryan Nations would be where he brings his most notable contributions yet, such as the "Leaderless Resistance" strategy for the far-right and bringing them to use computers, both of which so they can wage a coup on the US government to establish a white facsist dictatorship and bring about their apocalyptic race war against the Soviets. To do this, Beam helped Bob Matthews establish The Order, where they would rob banks and armored cars and give a portion of their ill-gotten gains to him so he can buy more computers to try to build his revolutionary fascist army. However, the Order would be taken down in 1984, and the feds soon engaged in a wide-sweeping operation to uproot him and his group. However, they botched it and in the end him and 13 others were acquitted for seditious conspiracy. Flash forward to 1992, Beam would resurface and began redpilling the nascent militia movement in response to Ruby Ridge and later Waco the following year, eventually culminating in Timothy McVeigh's Oklahoma City bombing. After 1996, Beam faded in obscurity, but he's left a very dark mark that continutes to haunt America to this day, moreso nowadays.
