Hop on board the Trump Train Goat-Cart!

2 trustees will be elected to serve 2022-2024.

"Campaigning" is for candidate promises & arguments in favor of their trustee-ship.

"Question time" is to ask candidates about their scandalous, hypocritical, and generally shitty behavior -- or anything at all you'd like to know their thoughts on.

"Endorsement sheet" is to endorse candidates.

the United States. Maryland. Virginia. West Virginia.

Thank you for considering me for the Board of Trustees. I've been a contributing editor on the site for almost ten years, and I'm proud of my contributions and those of countless other volunteers. If elected, I'll work towards maintaining the stability of the foundation's primary asset, the RationalWiki web site, and ensuring that the security, maintenance, upgrades, and stability of the site are given proper attention and funding. I further pledge to do my best to make the foundation's proceedings and communications open and accessible. I believe that RationalWiki provides a valuable service and that our ongoing success depends on managing our assets in an open, truthful and welcoming manner.

If elected I promise to give free icecream to all (entirely dependent on the RW budget...offer not available in Idaho, Kazakhstan or the international space station). ShabiDOO 08:45, 19 July 2022 (UTC)

Question time[edit]

Questions for Candidates[edit]

  • Yeah, seems totally fair that minutes are taken during a meeting. Preferably someone who has already served on the board (experienced) would take minutes at at least the first meeting though I'd volunteer to do so if no one else will. ShabiDOO 16:42, 20 July 2022 (UTC)
  • The people who took minutes were: Cosmikdebris (2014), ListenerX (2011, 2012, 2013), and Tmtoulouse (2010, 2011). Of these, only Tmtoulouse is currently on the board. Bongolian (talk) 06:51, 21 July 2022 (UTC)
  • We've been using a channel on the Discord Support Chat to discuss some board matters. Are you guys ok with this? GeeJayK (talk) 02:24, 27 July 2022 (UTC)
  • I'm not an active discord user (I prefer old school irc) but am fine with discording. —cosmikdebris talk stalk 03:02, 27 July 2022 (UTC)
Discord is no prob. ShabiDOO 10:37, 27 July 2022 (UTC)
  • What flavors of ice cream? Also, does the offer apply in both Russia and Ukraine? What about North Korea and Iran, since RW is based in teh US and those countries are sanctioned in the US? Noticed you didn't exclude any of them. 71.208.x.x (talk) 23:18, 4 August 2022 (UTC)

  1. Anti-endorsements
  1. How do you get free ice cream for people that you do not know? 2600:387:15:811:0:0:0:3 (talk) 16:47, 20 July 2022 (UTC)
I would love to answer that question, but before I do...I'd like you to consider how much the [insert fearmongering scape goat of the hour] would love to take away ice-cream from you and wants to ensure you cannot choose to eat ice cream whenever you want, or worse will only let you eat their ideologically approved brand. As a board member I will never let that happen. I will enshrine it in rationalwiki's constitution or something that you can eat whatever ice cream you like. That's how I will get ice cream to the people, via choice, freedom and liberty. ShabiDOO 19:18, 20 July 2022 (UTC)
Since when does one have to know someone to be nice? I routinely give things to total strangers at Christmas time for example, the reactions I get is better than the high anyone ever gets from any drug. 71.208.x.x (talk) 23:15, 4 August 2022 (UTC)

  • Not gonna bother, because this is a non competitive election and therefore none of this really matters, though I know a vote is gonna happen anyway. Oh also - I’m busy traveling across the Midwestern US until July 22, and currently am driving in Indiana. Andrew5 mobile (talk) 19:58, 19 July 2022 (UTC)

Shall we get this vote over with? I'm not sure what more there is to campaign. ShabiDOO 08:40, 11 August 2022 (UTC)

That's got my vote! Spud (talk) 14:02, 12 August 2022 (UTC)
Alright. Andrew5 (talk) 15:05, 12 August 2022 (UTC)
