E-mail me if you want me. I might check my inbox in the next year.

I would have emailed you BUT IT'S NOT ENABLED. Anyhow this is what I would have written:
“”Cur, you might not believe this, but I do sympathise. Trouble is you're talking to people who speak a different language: they speak "older". When I was your age I was a major loner: undersized; late to puberty; not pretty; intelligent: all things that alienated me from my peers. Then, however (50+ years ago) there was nowhere that we could talk to adults so I immersed myself in books, I suppose that you are doing the same with the internet. Unfortunately there are things we learn with time, like how to behave in company; when people are being serious; and how to know when they are joking. As Ace said, one thing you learn is to have multiple external personalities: one for home; one for work or school; & one for when with friends or equals. This isn't deceit: it's called being a rounded person. You really ought to try to find people of a similar age & experience as yourself, there must be somewhere on the net. Don't be a bloody martyr, stick around as CUR. One thing is not to try too hard, don't sock up, just lurk & comment occasionally, very occasionally. We will recognise you, (I've tried to disappear & sock up as a different person :- can't be done: you give yourself away if you've any personality at all & you have) I don't know if you go to school, from what I understand your bro is homeschooled(?), but are you sure there's no-one of a similar age to you who might be able to talk on web or RL? Whether you're male or female, pick a geek of the opposite gender: (the geek thing is to have some common ground [sorry]) (the gender thing is to avoid competition) Have you ever been in a supermarket where there's been a screaming kid? His Mom'll slap him down to shut him up, but she still loves him. We've acted like Mom - we'll forget it soon as long as you don't do it again! XX Terry (Toast) —composed offline by Toast

Intercom

How were you able to send an intercom message while blocked? -- Nx / talk 22:03, 24 April 2009 (UTC)

I really don't know. All I know is that under no circumstances should that ability be changed, in case something like that happens again for a longer period and no one notices. -- 22:04, 24 April 2009 (UTC)
Your block must've expired. The intercom only fails when you try to send the message, not when you click write new message. You cannot send intercom messages when blocked or vandal binned, and that's a good thing. We shouldn't block users anyway, so there's no danger of someone accidentally getting locked out. -- Nx / talk 22:08, 24 April 2009 (UTC)
I see your point, unfortuately, you (notice the pronoun you, as in RationalWiki), do block users. -- 22:09, 24 April 2009 (UTC)
You were blocked for five minutes. Not the end of the world. -- Nx / talk 22:11, 24 April 2009 (UTC)
Wouldn't be an issue except that Felidae is in danger of being deleted. -- 22:13, 24 April 2009 (UTC)
Doesn't matter. Your scenario is of a user blocked for a long time who would have no way of communicating that his block was incorrect (which isn't true, since we have email). Spamming the intercom won't help your cause. -- Nx / talk 22:16, 24 April 2009 (UTC)

(EC) No, I'm not spying on him. But every time I check a new wigo, if it's by CUR, it has a +1 vote already. I haven't noticed that in other people's wigos. --  Nx/talk  22:39, 28 April 2009 (UTC)
I always vote my own WIGO's because if I added them then I obviously think its funny. Ace McWickedbitch and moan 22:38, 28 April 2009 (UTC)
I view it as a result of thinking of WIGO as a contest of who can get the most votes, and IMHO that is detrimental. --  Nx/talk  22:45, 28 April 2009 (UTC)
ec I agree with Ace. I don't WIGO, but if I did, I'd see no problem with voting it up- since I thought it was noteworthy, I'd vote it up anyways. Unless, of course, the WIGOer is not allowed to vote up their own WIGOs, which is just stupid- no one would WIGO anymore. User:Theemperor/Sig/Sig 22:49, 28 April 2009 (UTC) MOAR Of course its a contest Nx- why do you think we have Best of CP?
Well, if it's a contest, then it's cheating. --  Nx/talk  22:51, 28 April 2009 (UTC)
Why do you think we do it? PS add a </sulk> tag at the end of your post. User:Theemperor/Sig/Sig 22:53, 28 April 2009 (UTC)
I don't vote on mine own. I let 'em float or (moar likely) sink of their own accord. You'll notice I do like to tinker with other boyz toyz er, ah, WIGO items...to ensure the lulziest WIGO posssible. CЯacke® 22:54, 28 April 2009 (UTC)
You only get one vote anyway, so it's not a big deal. If I added one I hit "up" as soon as I saved it. It only makes sense. And Nx, maybe there is a regular lurker who just thinks CUR is really funny? ħuman 23:16, 28 April 2009 (UTC)

Is that good or bad? -- 21:30, 5 June 2009 (UTC)
The RIAA’s “parental advisory warning” is a tremendously flawed content labeling system because it is essentially self-regulating. It is a voluntary setup—artists and labels make their own decisions about whether or not content is “explicit”, and this leads to irregularities and lapses—both accidental and intentional—in the system’s safeguards. Some indie labels, particularly ones which possess a liberal conceit and which are inclined to see RIAA labeling as censorship, completely ignore the content labeling system, which means that a lot of indie albums which contain some frightfully explicit stuff are left completely unlabeled. Meanwhile, major-label groups which crave an “edgy” image and the “teen rebel” demographic which comes with it are left free to label their albums as “explicit” even if they contain only mild obscenities or a single explicit song. Because the system contains no gradients or provisions for various amounts/levels of obscenity, all labeled albums, no matter how explicit, are branded with the same sticker of shame, and as a result albums which feature only mild swearing may be denoted by the same label which adorns some of the most profane albums in the universe. Rather than use a system of grades, like, say, the MPAA’s (imperfect, but at least somewhat nuanced) rating system, the geniuses at the RIAA has decreed that albums are either “explicit” or they’re not—and the overall effect of this oversight dilutes the warning’s credibility as a labeling system.
Moreover, some truly vile content ends up being passed over because it isn’t “explicit”, even though it is objectionable—case in point: “Run For Your Life”, a song from the Beatles’ Rubber Soul in which the narrator warns his girlfriend, in no uncertain terms, that he will kill her if he catches her with another man. If I had a nine-year old daughter, this is notsomething I’d want her to hear on her own—yet, because of the RIAA’s tawdry obsession with “explicit” content, there are thousands of parents who have no idea that a depiction of domestic violence which may potentially be far more damaging than a few stray swear words lies waiting behind the cheerful exterior of another unlabeled, “kid-friendly” Beatles album.
CUR, it’s all your fault. You are somehow responsible. I am not sure how—perhaps you have been conspiring with Tipper Gore or something. Conspiring...retroactively. Yes. This must be it. The electrocutioner 06:31, 12 June 2009 (UTC)

YAY! CUR is back! P-Foster (talk) 19:03, 12 December 2010 (UTC)

"If I managed to not cause trouble, would people be able to be polite to me?" You were decidedly rude to me yourself over on the Werelist CUR. Would you be able to be polite? I ain't bending over backwards for no one. Aceword up 21:49, 12 December 2010 (UTC)
"If I managed to not cause trouble, would people be able to be polite to me?" If you managed not to split the poor defenceless infinitive, it would be a start. But seriously, good to see you buddy. WēāŝēīōīďMethinks it is a Weasel 23:25, 12 December 2010 (UTC)

First off, Ace, I may have come off as a bit abrupt, but that's more or less because the only memory I have of you was you swearing loudly at me.

Anyway, I'm not actually back. Shouldn't have posted in the first place. Sorry for waking everybody up. *kicks self*

Dude, if you look back over your werelist messages you'll see I was extremely polite and engaging. You just didn't like it because I was querying your silly Wolf-Boy talk and then you shut off debate when I asked you to substantiate your claims. Ace McfuckingAwesome 20:23, 19 December 2010 (UTC)

Oh, I'm back. But only to say never mind about the wiki bit and I might rejoin in the summer when my parents let me. Till then, and I hope that when I come back things work out better. -- 01:09, 5 March 2010 (UTC)
Yo, what up with the folks? They laying on ya heavy like? Want me to "take care" of them? Acei9 01:15, 5 March 2010 (UTC)
Hey CUR, "I remember that talk about there possibly being a side wiki that I could try working on" one idea, if you can hold your nose while doing it, would be to join A Storehouse of Knowledge and write articles on zoology etc. for them. Oh, just don't put all those silly "evolution" lies in the articles... Hope you are well. ħuman 00:19, 5 March 2010 (UTC)

I really miss CUR

You contributed to a much more fun and healthy RW when you were around to Raz. Those days are past, but some of us are still anarchists fighting the good fight. Drop by and say hello. 13:53, 19 September 2011 (UTC)

Well, CUR, you may be a filthy furry but I empathize with you. "Wasn't fun for me" should be this community's unofficial slogan. It's all fun and games for the bullies, but what about the people getting stomped on? And if you were still here, I probably would have cut down on the fursecution whenever you'd be around.--User:Brxbrx/sig 03:45, 19 January 2012 (UTC)
It wasn't a furry that got me flack. In any event... I don't believe I can come back. There are too many bad memories. I don't even understand how I thought back then when I was on here; it was probably because I was going through major social troubles in real life, so I kind of stuck to the first community I found, even if half the time it was verbally stomping on me. And yeah, I was an idiot half the time. But my position on the matter is that very few people here are exemplars of politeness, and I've tried to change (and may have succeeded) in being much more polite and calm and rational. Still a bit arrogant, though. But I've changed. I don't know how much the site has.

There are some of you I remember and rather like; SuperJosh, The Emperor, Javascap, Weaseloid... but the fact is that I can't bring myself to trust the entire site. Part of this is probably due to spending I don't know how long thinking very badly of the community here at large. But part of it is a completely rational reaction to what I experienced.

So goodbye, RationalWiki. I don't understand you. I don't understand myself here when I look back. I wish I could trust you, because I believe that you serve a function, and I would be pleased to advance some of your causes. But like I've said--I've changed. I've changed in that I've grown more tolerant of people with beliefs that are different than mine, so that I don't automatically make fun of or scorn anyone's beliefs if I can't stick something disproving it in their face and explain it in terms a five year old should be able to understand. And I remember RationalWiki as having a noticeable antitheistic streak--understandable and perhaps exaggerated by later perception, but I don't buy into antitheism, which I predict would put me on a definite angle of friction with many.

And so I say it again: Goodbye, RationalWiki. I do not know whether to hate you, love you, admire you, or pity you. I suspect it is a mix of all four.

There are two things I would appreciate done, RationalWiki. Firstly, I want this to be copied into my userpage. Second, I want you to remember me, specifically remembering me to ensure that another CUR does not happen. Because sooner or later, I predict, there will be another teenager like I was, and he or she will set himself apart. And when that happens, when he or she is making an incredible nuisance of him or herself and is of questionable mental stability, I want you to point him or her to what happened here. And I want you to give him or her my email address, so that I can attempt to prevent another one of me.

I may have been arrogant when writing this essay. I may have thought of myself as more significant than I am. But I did not go through drafts and I only changed things to correct typos. I say it as I thought it. If anybody has any questions or wants to talk to me (please, I really don't want to get into any long-drawn out arguments that go over the same points over and over, so don't contact me if you are planning on doing that), then you know where to find me.

Cheetahs

4 days ago I was sitting in an open-air truck watching 2 wild cheetah go about their morning routines. They stalked some impala but were ultimately unsuccessful and spent the rest of the morning taking it easy in the shade. You would have loved it. AceModerator 07:35, 21 March 2012 (UTC)
