Debate:Block MC permanently?
Because it's the only way to stop you all arguing. The only thing MC does is get people disagreeing over the exact way to tell him to fuck off. It isn't worth it. Move on.
I don't expect many people to agree with me. I think this proposal is doomed. But hey it has to be worth a try. -- =w= 23:48, 28 January 2010 (UTC)

- I'd say block. It's clear that this thing doesn't happen lightly, and he himself has clearly stated his intentions here. It's one thing to be welcoming of dissenting views, but quite another to defend randomly biting people as being freedom of expression. --Ask me about your mother 23:53, 28 January 2010 (UTC)

Yes, please block me. Because my host of very transparant socks wouldn't be able to continue to get over the ban, unlike the way they presently and with great ease, do. I admire the sheer arrogance if nothing else, of your delusions of having an ability to get rid of me by mere force alone. I will not go anywhere until someone displays superior wit or intellect in the face of my catastrophic denunciations. OMG (talk) 00:10, 29 January 2010 (UTC)
- Block or bin, whatever. Same for socks as they appear. --Kels (talk) 01:08, 29 January 2010 (UTC)
- Mei is agreeable. Marcus is TK without any connection to CP, and thus even less interesting. Block the "NINJA PHILOSOPHER SOCK ARMY" as necessary, or at least stop letting people unbin the things. ~ Kupochama[1][2] 02:23, 29 January 2010 (UTC)
- I am not sufficiently demoted enough to really weigh in, but there's only so much "whining pussy" that I can put up with. I am an Army sergeant after all. This crybaby should have been kicked to the curb a while ago, but I've been damping my temper because of the tone of this Wiki and the philosophy we are supposed to embrace here. That said, boot his ass, burn his sock drawer, and let's move on from there. The Foxhole Atheist (talk) 02:31, 29 January 2010 (UTC)

- I'm gone now, but seriously its silly to keep him. He says he's a troll, he's not going to add anything, why is he here? I don't really want to be here if someone like him is allowed to just do what he pleases because some people find it amusing. --Seantalk 15:11, 29 January 2010 (UTC)
- Hopefully this will be the only time I vote thus (unless we vote for TK too), but really MC has no redeeming features that make it worthwhile keeping him around. Even his bleating hasn't changed, nor does it make sense. Plus, it only gives rise to other people having a HCM when people dare to object to MC's actions. We're better off without him. And TK. --PsygremlinZungumza! 16:31, 30 January 2010 (UTC)
- OK, if it puts a stop to this nonsense. Block MC & obvious sock accounts, but don't permablock IPs - just vandal-bin ones he's used regularly, & issue shorter blocks (a week, a month, etc.) when he posts from them. ΨΣΔξΣΓΩΙÐMethinks it is a Weasel 16:41, 30 January 2010 (UTC)

Personally I find the MC saga one of RW's better points. He's pretty impotent now, only the very new get sucked in to his traps and it's part of the daily lulz to see the various ploys he comes up with. He has become our court jester, each moan, each winge, each petty complaint adding to the rich variety that is RW. Having said this I do not support unbinning him or, worse still, sysopping him; he needs the constraints to produce his best work. Jack Hughes (talk) 23:54, 28 January 2010 (UTC)

- Thought we already had this discussion a few months ago. I guess no one here can resist feeding the troll(I again apologize for the child molester comment). No need to off him, then he can just martyr himself.--Thanatos (talk) 03:56, 29 January 2010 (UTC)

- Anytime any of you make a lame joke and don't feel instantly sorry for existing, I am there to remind you that your presence on this earth is a luxury. Suggestion[edit]
Would it be possible to set up a block/bin/cage that would only allow a troll to edit their own user page & talk page (& at the vandal bin rate of twice an hour)? It would make him much easier to ignore. ΨΣΔξΣΓΩΙÐMethinks it is a Weasel 13:37, 31 January 2010 (UTC)
- Why not just do what WP does then, block, but allow edits on own talk page? The problem is that if the vb becomes too restrictive he will just evade it. -- Nx / talk 13:45, 31 January 2010 (UTC)
- But that's going to the problem with any kind of block or ban or binning we come up with. There's nothing we can do that can't be evaded. If the troll can edit their user/talk page semi-regularly, & we do the same with any sock accounts when it becomes apparent who they are, then they can vent & just be ignored, or we might be able to pick up on if we've blocked a non-troll account in error. But if they're confined to their userspace and not restricted to two edits per hour, then they could still flood recent changes with attention-seeking spam. I think the two things together (confine to userspace & vandal bin) would be the best way to go. ΨΣΔξΣΓΩΙÐMethinks it is a Weasel 14:01, 31 January 2010 (UTC)
