Delete[edit]
- if we go ahead and delete all categories, i'll cast my vote for deleting this one, also. G Man (talk) 03:06, 23 March 2022 (UTC)
- if you've havent called for the masses to rise up and drown capitalism in a sea of blood, but not keen on swastikas, you are centrist stupidity. seriously why are doing this one article at a time? is there not a way of downloading all the cats to a spreadsheet with whatever relevent data to get an overview of what it all looks like and see what and how it can all be made useful? i dont fancy having to argue the toss over which meaningless vague jibe is actually serious political classification and which is there because 'poopy face' isnt a cat? and why racist in some places racism in others or lgbt bigot vs homophobe vs homophobia, and so on AMassiveGay (talk) 19:28, 23 March 2022 (UTC)
- as a meaningless phrase used by activists whose only activisting is declaring anything and everything centrist and stupid, on the talk page for tintin on this wiki, i suggested 'the blue lotus' was more racist than 'in america'. that was apparently stupid and centrist and just typical of stupid centrists. not convinced its going to be any more applicable anywhere elseAMassiveGay (talk) 19:44, 23 March 2022 (UTC)
- what are these political stupity cats meant to convey? is there not more useful cat that would have the same intent but more useful and more specific? AMassiveGay (talk) 19:47, 23 March 2022 (UTC)

- I support deleting all political insanity categories (as it seems most do), this one seems like it’s the closest to being kept. Christopher (talk) 21:17, 23 March 2022 (UTC)

Keep[edit]
- This is one of the main 3, but per the recent precedent of deleting political insanity categories solely as a procedual nomination, I support keeping. Andrew5 (talk) 13:46, 22 March 2022 (UTC)
- What Andrew said. ℕoir LeSable (talk) 16:57, 23 March 2022 (UTC)
- This one is entirely missional, seeing as centrism for the sake of centrism is a massive problem in both the U.S. and around the world and has contributes in no small part to the current strength of the far-right. Inmate XIII (talk) 21:48, 24 March 2022 (UTC)
- I'll second what Inmate said. Centrist stupidity is a real thing. Chef Moosolini’s Ristorante ItalianoMake a Reservation 21:49, 24 March 2022 (UTC)
- Plutocow (talk) 23:55, 24 March 2022 (UTC)
- Out of the political insanity categories, this is the only one I'd say should be kept. Centrism is flawed and is part of the problems the world is facing today. Magic Master (talk) 02:46, 25 March 2022 (UTC)

Goat[edit]
- If centrism is inherently stupid (a vague claim), then the category is redundant (and vague) and the centrism category is sufficient. Otherwise, 'centrist stupidity' is just as subjective as 'socialist moonbattery', the only difference being that 'stupid' isn't quite as derogatory as 'moonbat'. Far-right nonsense is also a real problem, but that doesn't make 'conservative wingnuttery' a good category, nor would it make 'conservative stupidity' a good category. 𝒮𝑒𝓇𝑒𝓃𝑒 talk 03:58, 25 March 2022 (UTC)
- No one is arguing that centrism is inherently stupid, the argument that centrists acting stupid by trying to occupy the middle ground in any debate, even when there is no good reason to, only helps the more unreasonable side (e.g. Democrats constantly trying to compromise the GOP for the sale of bipartisanship when the Repubs have outright said they refuse any compromise). Which I would argue is missional. Inmate XIII (talk) 08:23, 25 March 2022 (UTC)
- as serene points out if it isnt inherent then its entirely subjective. your example is entirely subjective, the fact people somehow think that their point of view or opinions are not at all subjective is why such cats are complete wank AMassiveGay (talk) 12:16, 25 March 2022 (UTC)

- I really don’t see any reason this category should survive whilst the others are deleted. Christopher (talk) 18:49, 26 March 2022 (UTC)
- Should this be closed as keep? The vote is 8-6 to keep and was oustanding for almost 2 months. Andrew5 (talk) 21:57, 14 May 2022 (UTC)
