Verifying your email[edit]

If I'm not mistaken, I qualify to be a voter. I've been on the site since May this year (it is now August) and I've done a shit ton of pretty kewl edits. So, how to verify my email thang? Thanks in advance. Reverend Black Percy (talk) 00:24, 12 August 2015 (UTC)

Click on Preferences at the top of the page, where all the links to your userpages and contributions are. In the first tab (User profile), there's a section called Email options. Enter your preferred email address, then click the Save button at the bottom. A confirmation email should be sent to your email. Open the email and click confirm (I think. It's been years since I've confirmed my email address. Hopefully I'm right about that last part.). Star of David.png Radioactive afikomen Please ignore all my awful pre-2014 comments. 00:40, 12 August 2015 (UTC)
Thanks - it seems my memory has slipped me as well. I already have my e-mail set up since I joined. I'll just add myself to the list of voters, then. Reverend Black Percy (talk) 01:46, 12 August 2015 (UTC)

When will I be eligible[edit]

I have an email here, more than 72 edits, reg 02:04, May 5, 2015 (didn't really edit until July). I want to join the Bandwagon. Oh right down south in the land of traitors, rattle snakes and alligators! Where cotton's king and men are chattles! Union boys will win the battles! (talk) 09:26, 26 August 2015 (UTC)

The stupid way to test: put your name on the rolls, wait a couple days, and then hit up Special:Preferences and see if it lists you as belonging to the group eligible users. But yeah if you've confirmed your email everything else would look to be in order unless I'm dumbening again. WalkerWalkerWalker 09:52, 26 August 2015 (UTC)
Actually, "eligible users" is given automatically to people with 75+edits & 3+months. Mʀ. Wʜɪsᴋᴇʀs, Esϙᴜɪʀᴇ (talk/stalk) 02:55, 19 October 2015 (UTC)
Any chance we could have a user list page of eligible users here? It would have people on it who are eligible to vote in the mod elections but who haven't registered for Board elections. How to create such a page is beyond my wiki understanding. Actually, I'll add this to a suggestions page somewhere. SolPyre (talk) 18:52, 9 November 2015 (UTC)

Wait, by the date?[edit]

"by the" is pretty ambiguous. Narky SawtoothNarky.png (BoN is paranoid!) 21:03, 8 August 2016 (UTC)

RWians will probably be fine with a little fudging if it helps anyone to vote. FU22YC47P07470 (talk/stalk) 21:31, 8 August 2016 (UTC)
I'll be so voting I'll vote thrice! Narky SawtoothNarky.png (BoN is paranoid!) 22:12, 8 August 2016 (UTC)

Date of Election[edit]

It's after Sept 17 right? (My account will turn three months old then.) —Bigljbigl (talk/stalk) 01:09, 30 July 2017 (UTC)

It's currently assumed to start 12 August. I'd suggest you make a post on the Saloon Bar asking for an exception or a rule change. oʇɐʇoԀʇɐϽʎzznℲ (talk/stalk) 02:20, 30 July 2017 (UTC)

Username changes[edit]

Does it matter if some of the users listed have changed their username? Should they register again? CowHouse (talk) 05:42, 22 August 2018 (UTC)

does it matter that some of these users are permabanned that and some are socks of the permabanned? AMassiveGay (talk) 07:56, 3 September 2018 (UTC)
This is a good question that should probably be raised where more people will see it. I could be incorrect but my understanding is that users are still considered eligible if they are blocked (RationalWiki:Eligible users says nothing about blocks/bans or sockpuppets). As to whether or not they should be allowed to vote, I'll leave that decision to the rest of the community. By the way, @AMassiveGay, you're not on the list.
In case anyone is curious, and please correct me if I'm wrong, there are four users on the list that are currently blocked and all of them were blocked in 2016 or earlier: Arisboch, Conservapedian Troll (as "DMorris"), 𐌈FedoraTippingSkeptic𐌈 (as "Kosterortiizbrock") and Miekal (as "Mikal"). Reminder to register to vote[edit]

You have been tagged in this post if you have:

I have assumed you are interested if you have edited the nominations, campaigning or voter registration pages.

All of these users are eligible to vote:

These users are registered to vote under an old username (I'm unsure if this is a problem):
