The Old Chinese Curse[edit]
Many people think it's "May you live in interesting times." But there's another one, "May you come to the attention of those in authority." --MtDBogan 23:29, 15 December 2018 (UTC)
Communication[edit]
You seem to have a problem communicating beyond mere assertions of dislike. Try working on that, because it's not enough to say you dislike something and then expect it to change, you need to be able to explain why you dislike it, engage in debate with people who disagree, and continually double-check your own position. ☭Comrade GC☭Ministry of Praise 02:41, 16 December 2018 (UTC)
- You also need to stop edit warring, or I'll protect your talkpage so you can't edit it until you learn to behave. ☭Comrade GC☭Ministry of Praise 02:44, 16 December 2018 (UTC)
- Do you have an example? In the Noah Carl page I left a comment. Waited more than two days to see if anybody else cared to weigh in. Then made the edit. Seems pretty reasonable to me. Jsolinsky (talk) 02:53, 16 December 2018 (UTC)
- Quite frankly, I have yet to see you make a productive comment anywhere, and you have made numerous absurd comments including this: @Jsolinsky I will make this single comment, without any additional dialog. This is obviously equivalent to discussion. I can now justify any future edit via this single talkpage post. ☭Comrade GC☭Ministry of Praise 18:23, 15 December 2018 (UTC)
- Please stop defacing my talk page. If you want to have a disciplinary hearing over your abusive behaviors, go ahead and prevent me from editing my own talk page. Jsolinsky (talk) 02:53, 16 December 2018 (UTC)
- Discipline away, if I was in the wrong, even after explaining my point of view, then I can live with that. As for my comment, it was representative, and to a fair degree a parody of what I view as the average (newer) editor's habit of stating "I disagree with X" and then waiting, at best, a few days. At worst they wait a few hours, if not a few minutes before altering the article content, unaware or uncaring that someone may yet to see their comment. This problem is only exacerbated by other more established users' unwillingness or inability to handle each and every objection, which isn't necessarily something they should or shouldn't do. So please do not get me wrong, you're arguments may or may not have merit, but that takes a backseat to how you present them. If you suspect a topic isn't being adressed when it should contact editors who have recently shown an interest in that or similar topics but please do not slap a comment on a talkpage and call it a discussion or a consensus, because it is neither. ☭Comrade GC☭Ministry of Praise 04:06, 16 December 2018 (UTC)
- Very few edits on RW are preceded by multiuser talk threads. I don't see why my edits should be the exception. If a comment about a living person is questionable and potentially slanderous, then per RationalWiki policy, the default state should be removing that comment until a consensus for its INCLUSION exists. Not leaving it up until there is a consensus for its removal. Jsolinsky (talk) 04:38, 16 December 2018 (UTC)

I've restored your talk page rights. --MtDBogan 03:37, 16 December 2018 (UTC)
- @Matty the DamnedDo you have any objection to me restoring Ariel31459's change to my welcome message? Jsolinsky (talk) 04:08, 16 December 2018 (UTC)
- Mate, life's too short for this shit. Do as you will. So long as it's on your talk page. --MtDBogan 04:11, 16 December 2018 (UTC)
