The extremes[edit]

If you have some time and desire I was wondering if you might expand upon your statements at CP on extremes. I noticed your studying physics, I have primarily a science background myself (I started in astrophysics and have since moved on to neuroscience with many side paths in between). My main interest in all of this focuses on what I certainly believe to be a strong anti-science movement in this country. I am an atheist, and I don't try and equivocate on that at all, but my interest in theological debate is pretty limited. It all stems mostly from what many people would consider an extreme view, I flirt fairly heavily with logical positivism, but certainly believe that all of our ideas do not gain much traction till they can be vetted in an empirical realm. I obviously see the errors in reasoning and logic that the theological extremist mindset produces (hence this site) but am always interested in what logical errors the more "moderate" but intelligent people see in strong empiricism and positivism. tmtoulouse plague 17:36, 7 July 2008 (EDT)

Eheh, I'd love to have a debate with you over just that, Trent. Oh, and hi OneForLogic. Star of David.png Radioactive afikomen Please ignore all my awful pre-2014 comments. 05:44, 8 July 2008 (EDT)

Mainpage, Blog list[edit]

Hi OneForLogic. You may want to contribute to this thread at the bottom of mainpage talk. The question is do we want to create something greater than the RationalWiki:Blogroll? --Bobbing up 06:00, 8 July 2008 (EDT)

Liberal positions[edit]

I see that you've added some to this. You might have an opinion on this part of the talk page.--Bobbing up 11:17, 7 August 2008 (EDT)

Haven't forgotten our conversation[edit]

I plan on offering a reply to your reply of my reply, but I want to give it the thought and seriousness it deserves which is why I haven't done so yet. tmtoulouse plague 14:17, 13 August 2008 (EDT)

Under-secretary of the Chief-secretary of the Personal-secretary of the Minister.

The city in which you live[edit]

I grew up in San Antonio and my mom lives in the city in which you presently live. I get down there lots. We should get a beer somewhere on Guadalupe. Nutty Roux100x100 anarchy symbol.svg 02:56, 10 August 2009 (UTC)

Indeed. OneForLogic (talk) 05:01, 14 August 2009 (UTC)
Count me in, I get down there quite a bit too. That is, if we're all talking about the same unnamed city with a Guadalupe street.
Ha. I appreciate the discretion, but as has already been demonstrated by my RationalWikiWiki pseudo-stalker, I have posted easy-to-find info indicating that I live in Austin, TX. Any fundies out there trying to assassinate me could have figured that out other ways, so I'm not so worried. Do we know of another well known Guadalupe St. somewhere? OneForLogic (talk) 05:38, 14 August 2009 (UTC)
Right on, just wanted to make sure I wasn't breaching your privacy. The ACL lineup this year is fairly solid, I'll probably make my way over to Austin that weekend, school permitting.--PitchBlackMind Is that a noose dressed like a necklace? 05:45, 14 August 2009 (UTC)
