## Leaving

Sometimes I feel like packing this place in altogether. I don't enjoy it any more, it's mostly reverting and arguing. Meh. Totnesmartin 18:32, 15 January 2009 (EST)

So long guys, it was a blast. Totnesmartin 18:46, 15 January 2009 (EST)

We'll miss you. Radioactive afikomen Please ignore all my awful pre-2014 comments. 18:48, 15 January 2009 (EST)

## Desysoping request

(copied from Human's talk page)
Hey mate, can you promote me back up to editor? Totnesmartin 19:07, 15 January 2009 (EST)

Yes, I've been going off this site, it's not the same as it used to be, I hardly know anyone now (especially since SusanG and Chaos! left), and with all the vandalism and twattery I've got pissed off - it's just not as much fun. Arguing with CUR was the last straw. Bye everyone, and thanks for all the fish having me! Totnesmartin 19:29, 15 January 2009 (EST)

We'll miss you. Hate to see an old-timer go. TheoryOfPractice 19:40, 15 January 2009 (EST)

Yes, sorry I missed the convo on my talk page, but RA had done the deed... anyway, I think Susan is still around here somewhere, with a new identity. Hint hint. I agree that the fun around here seems to have curdled a bit lately, but the child will probably get bored soon and go play with his blocks. He has an IQ of 133, you know! (And a fifth grade reading level since he's been to college) ħuman 20:40, 15 January 2009 (EST)
Martin, come back please. Us Brits have got to keep the numbers up. That little CUR twat will go away & SusanG probably is still around.  (with butter!) talk to Toast 01:27, 16 January 2009 (EST)
I understand that SusanG was contemplating leaving a note on your WP talk page but thought better of it.  (with butter!) talk to Toast 01:34, 16 January 2009 (EST)
When did I argue with you? And believe me, it's nothing personal. As a matter of fact, I tend to argue with those I like more than those I don't. And Toast, I read heard that. Hint, hint. --"ConservapediaUndergroundThermistorGoatspeed! 18:21, 16 January 2009 (EST)
Now who will I argue about tea with? Wow that was a long time ago. Pinto's5150 Talk 19:29, 16 January 2009 (EST)

Hi all, just passing by. I'm actually surprised at Barack Obama finally getting shunted off AOTW all your lovely messages, thanks. ATM I won't be coming back as I have a few personal problems to sort out - number one being a nocturnal housemate with OCD. Not good for the sleep patterns. This, I realise, has made me a lot more snappy, irritable and generally short-tempered than I'd like - Hey, maybe I could join CP! It's affected my Wiki-ing, both here and at WP (where I recently stamped all over a newbie - not a good thing to do, ever) Hope you're all enjoying yourselves though.

Cheers all, Totnesmartin 06:35, 18 January 2009 (EST)

Go and finish those bird articles at CP - boobies, tits, shags and maybe a few cocks. ГенгисIs the Pope a Catholic? 06:52, 18 January 2009 (EST)
Bleh. They can sort their own shitpit out. I hardly ever even read WIGO CP, I hate the site so much. I'll probably go and do stuff on rockpools, one of wikipedia's neglected areas. Totnesmartin 07:04, 18 January 2009 (EST)

You iz back for good? You wants sysop?  (Toast) and marmalade 06:43, 5 February 2009 (EST)
As I said over at Nx's talk page, nobody leaves for good. I may be on and off for a bit (still not out of the woods yet re illness) but yes, back. And yes please, I'm missing the block wars, and it's weird that my sock is a sysop but I'm not. Totnesmartin 06:53, 5 February 2009 (EST)
Done.  (Toast) and marmalade 06:59, 5 February 2009 (EST)

## Bot

Is it going to be an actual bot or just you? - User ${\displaystyle \pi }$ 04:31, 13 February 2009 (EST)

I haven't the foggiest how to write a bot program, so it's just me, for when I do lots of repetetetetetive stuff that would clog up Recent Changes. Totnesmartin 04:41, 13 February 2009 (EST)
It doesn't seem to work at the moment that is all I was wondering if you could help me fix mine. - User ${\displaystyle \pi }$ 04:42, 13 February 2009 (EST)
Sorry mate, I really wouldn't have a clue. Totnesmartin 04:59, 13 February 2009 (EST)

## Heaven's Gate "To Do"

I've already de-redded the link for Heaven's Gate, hopefully you can help me destub that article.Jsonitsac 22:17, 13 February 2009 (EST)

Thanks. My ploy is to make a list of articles to create, and then hop somebody sees them in wanted articles and writes them up for me mwahahahaaa. No really I'll see if I can add anything beyond the remote viewing link - after I'm back from the launderette (tumble dryer knackered again). Totnesmartin 06:51, 14 February 2009 (EST)

## Do you mind if I ask you for some help with something?

I'm still learning how to do this, and you're one of a few people I've talked to here, and you're on, so I figured I'd ask you for some help. I've written an essay I'd like to post, but I don't know how to create a new page, or even which space would be the right space for it if I did. Can you help? Do you need to know something about the content? Or should I put it on my user page, or what?

Thanks a lot. Arithmostoutheriou 13:32, 11 March 2009 (EDT)

## Ray Comfort

If you're just goofing on the block thing, you're being incorrect using the word "hoax" for Comfort. He's claiming it was a parody on his part that they (atheists) deliberately edited out parts to make it look even dumber. I've seen the whole thing and believe me, the editing out of the whole "Coke can argument" was merciful and actually made the banana part stand on its own better (How that's possible, I dunno... Miracle? Hmph.).

Anyway, would it be stepping on your toes if I went and fixed it? The Foxhole Atheist 09:44, 13 March 2009 (EDT)

No, nobody owns mainspace articles, so please improve my lazy writing. Totnesmartin 11:55, 13 March 2009 (EDT)

## Vegetarian Re: Faggots -

I am so terribly sorry to learn of your affliction. There are many good therapies now available that I encourage you to seek. There are also some experimental pharmacological options.

Without wanting to fall into the category of enabler, I did search for a recipe for Vegetarian Faggots. All I found was a lot of people that don't like vegetarians very much.[2] --Snakeoil 23:46, 13 April 2009 (EDT)

## Typical liberal bleeding heart hand-wringing

Just wondering how I would have taken that when I was 14. Probably very badly. True he was annoying, but who wasn't at that age? Still, if he's taken on himself to retire instead of changing his ways... Totnesmartin 19:04, 22 April 2009 (EDT)

No, no. You've got it wrong. This user is retiring, I will be coming back. Under a seekrit indentity. When I have determined that people have cooled down, I will reveal my identity. If people react badly, repeat. --<choose>

## Poltergeists

From Saloonbar:There's too much fanwank about ken and not enough non-CP stuff. There's some decent material on alt.med, but many important pseudoscience writers and concepts are stubs, and articles like poltergeist and séance don't even exist yet, it's ridiculous. Totnesmartin 19:04, 6 May 2009 (UTC) --- I got 'attacked' by a poltergeist in Edinburgh. My guide swear so. See, apparently, the most common form of a poltergeist attack are un-felt 'hits and scratches' that appear after you get home. I got home and had the doozie of a bruise I can't particularly explain. èCourse, I tend to think that it's got something to do with the fact that you are crawling over and under things in dark rooms, ducking through very tight corners, and bumping into all kinds of things and people while all the while being entranced by stories of Scottish legend... But our guide swears it's polters. So I guess I should write your article! --En attendant Godot"«Curiosity is insubordination in its purest form. V.Nabokov» 17:52, 8 May 2009 (UTC)

Hmm... I've personally been conflicted about starting the polt article because of my experiences - I'm too "pro" to write an RW-centric article, and that pretty much goes for other paranormal things. i find it frustrating that I know a lot about the paranormal froma lifetime's reading, but I can't fill in one of RW's big gaps because I'm on the "wrong" side of the argument. still, you go ahead if you want to! Hmm, I'm in Edinburgh in August... Totnesmartin 18:23, 8 May 2009 (UTC)

## Flaming Lips

Oh come on, their early stuff was great! They sucked after Jonathan Donahue left, though. They succumbed to Nineties Disease. JS Leitch 22:47, 24 September 2009 (UTC)

I don't know the early stuff, just the twaddle they came up with later. I feel the same way about Simple Minds - when they went all stadium they lost something. Maybe instead of parental advisory stickers, albums should have "made after that cool guy left" or "made after they sold out" stickers. Totnesmartin 08:34, 25 September 2009 (UTC)

I'd sort of realised it was someone's game after a bit. In any case, I don't think I responded to any of them thinking they were you. I hope now you'll realise the impossibility of getting us to do things your way. Things could be more focused round here, or indeed more unfocused, but it is what it is and it won't change for one person's sake. Next time, try sayng "wouldn't it be a good idea if" instead of "you should all", and see if that floats. Totnesmartin 13:39, 4 October 2009 (UTC)

## May the wrong rise with you...

Opinions of Public Image Ltd? SJ Debaser 12:34, 11 October 2009 (UTC)

The first album was patchy with scattered excellence, while Metal Box is brilliance declining into laziness as it goes on. Thereafter, PIL got into a routine of great singles taken from disappointing albums. Overall not as good as they could - and should - have been; they squandered their opportunity and talent. On a personal note, though, watching them sing The Flowers of Romance on TOTP in 1981 made me realise I could make music too, so it occupies a special place in my heart. Totnesmartin 17:08, 11 October 2009 (UTC)
Oh right. They're playing some gigs this December and I intend to see one of them. SJ Debaser 15:08, 12 October 2009 (UTC)
If they play the hits it should be good, but with no Keith Levene or Jah Wobble, don't expect fantasticness. Totnesmartin 19:50, 12 October 2009 (UTC)
I won't. I got the ticket - just me by myself haha! I thought it'd be worth it cuz God knows when I'll be able to see John Lydon live again. SJ Debaser 16:43, 13 October 2009 (UTC)
There is that... Totnesmartin 16:54, 13 October 2009 (UTC)

## Watney's Red Barrel

Yes, Watney's 'Bleeding' Red Barrel (and I hope you know the quote). When I was at that age admission to a pary was only available to those carrying a Party 7 or, for cheapskates, a Party 4. By the small hours the kitchen table was dotted with half full cans, each with their flotilla of dog ends. Ah, the early seventies, what bliss it was to be alive!

Incidentally the pub we actually drank in had Green King Abbott ale served from a wooden barrel on the bar - not even pumped. In those pre CAMRA (well, not strictly pre CAMRA but most pubs sold keg beer) that was an oasis of true beer in a desert of fizzy pop. Bob Soles 15:56, 26 October 2009 (UTC)

Oh yes, I know the quote... Totnesmartin 18:06, 26 October 2009 (UTC)

## Good luck

With whatever it is. I hope it works out. SJ Debaser 21:08, 27 October 2009 (UTC)

Hey Martin, you bitch, I wish I had chimed in earlier. Best of, especially in real life. Come back soon, I hope, but fix the real life first. ħuman 04:01, 29 October 2009 (UTC)
There must be something going round: I'm feeling fucking anti-social @ the moment. Not quite at the "kick the cat" stage but approaching. T'other ½'s gone to bed for safety. & marmitechat 23:32, 2 November 2009 (UTC)
It's grumpysoditis. There's a lot of it about. Totnesmartin 23:39, 2 November 2009 (UTC)

## Cor blimey...

BlightyNet is already up?! Well done old chap, I wasn't expecting that to happen so fast! I just signed up... So who's in charge there - as in paying for the domain name and space, etc? You or Genghis or PH? SJ Debaser 23:41, 2 November 2009 (UTC)

genghis is paying, PH is doing the techy stuff (with Nx's help) and I'm waffling about any old crap. Currently the three of us a loose triumvirate running it all. There's also a strange thing about people changing usernames to signify a break from RW. Can't see the point myself, as long as nobody imports goat jokes and kendoll templates then people can have whatever username they want. Totnesmartin 16:12, 3 November 2009 (UTC)

Good evening citizen. You have been selected for showing interest in your local Mei. Were you aware that you can show your support for the troops the Mei by sporting this userbox on your userpage? It's very pretty. This Christmas Mei will go hungry. Please help feed a hungry Mei today. Play, run, feed and feel good about yourself.tm This message brought to you by Mei. -- =w= 00:43, 17 November 2009 (UTC)

## GO FUCK OFF

I can't log in under the new username you fucking fascist. Oh, you're so fucking hilarious - grow the fuck up you dimwitted cretin. I suppose all your internet buddies at rationalwiki will now think of you as one of the boys - you irredeemable buffoon. Now fucking change it back. 134.226.1.229 17:34, 3 December 2009 (UTC)

No. You are a pain in the arse, contribute nothing and waste everybody's time. You are a shitstirring twat. Now fuck off back to your secret website where you can laugh at us for having a website that laughs at other website. And take your brother with you. Totnesmartin 17:37, 3 December 2009 (UTC)
I know you are but what am I? 134.226.1.229 17:38, 3 December 2009 (UTC)
You see that "You are" bit at the start of the sentences? That means I was talking about you. Please learn basic English comprehension, at the moment your level of response makes it look like you're unable to formulate a witty and telling response. Totnesmartin 17:41, 3 December 2009 (UTC)
This conversation is about to go badly downhill, inevitably ending in comparisons to Hitler, and hurt feelings all around. Stop now. Step away from the keyboard. Go pet a jerboa, or milk a goat.

Totnesmartin, I think that I, unfortunately, have to agree with MC here. You're renaming him was, in my opinion, out of line and an abuse of administrative power. But, then again, I've only looked at what's happened since then and not what caused you to stir up the pot. But I do think renaming people against their will is out of line. Lord of the Goons The official spikey-haired skeptical punk 17:43, 3 December 2009 (UTC)

For a normal user, it would have been out of line. For MC, it gives him just what he needs. — Sincerely, Neveruse513 / Talk / Block 17:45, 3 December 2009 (UTC)
Which, in my opinion, is why it was stupid. Do you really think he won't create an even greater fuss because of what you did? Lord Goonie Hooray! I'm helping! 17:46, 3 December 2009 (UTC)
I presumed it was done so that he would create an even greater fuss because of what Martin did. — Sincerely, Neveruse513 / Talk / Block 17:47, 3 December 2009 (UTC)
So, in other words, it was uber-feeding the troll? What the fuck for? Lord Goonie Hooray! I'm helping! 17:48, 3 December 2009 (UTC)
Because trolls need food, dammit. — Sincerely, Neveruse513 / Talk / Block 17:49, 3 December 2009 (UTC)
I see. But, seriously, I think it was way out of line. And that sucks because I hate defending MarcusCicero. The Spikey Punk I'm punking my punk! 17:51, 3 December 2009 (UTC)
I wasn't trying to wind MC up - he's perfectly capable of doing that without help. i merely succumbed to temptation. Totnesmartin 18:14, 3 December 2009 (UTC)
I think the above posts kind of prove your points, actually. theist 18:23, 3 December 2009 (UTC)
How delightful! Aceof Spades 18:39, 3 December 2009 (UTC)
His only motivation was to be 'one of the boys'. He's a pathetic sycophant. MarcusCicero 13:07, 4 December 2009 (UTC)
Nah dude, Martin's always been 'one of the boys.' In fact, he's top boy. I often dream of being a boy in the same group as Martin, the top boy whose boots I am not worthy to lick. His actions were a mere example of his power as 'boy,' granted they were silly but OH it's pissed you off MC, so worth it it was. SJ Debaser 13:11, 4 December 2009 (UTC)

## Semprini

Why did you add it to the title blacklist? -- Nx / talk 22:26, 5 December 2009 (UTC)

Totnesmartin (talk) 09:54, 6 December 2009 (UTC)

Ok, but is there a real reason to prevent anyone from creating an account with the word Semprini in the name and to prevent non-sysops from creating pages that have the word Semprini in it? -- Nx / talk 10:13, 6 December 2009 (UTC)
Not really, I was deliberately wasting everybody's time and deserve a spanking. Totnesmartin (talk) 21:45, 6 December 2009 (UTC)

## My apologies

I shouldn't have interfered in your renaming of MC to something more fitting. The Goonie Punk Can't sleep, clowns will eat me! 22:29, 5 December 2009 (UTC)

## Location

Wait, I'm lost. I thought you lived in canukistan, and yet you create blightynet and talk about going to cardiff. Are you yanking my crank or have I gone nuts (or both)? CrundyTalk nerdy to me 21:32, 21 December 2009 (UTC)

Thank you kindly, but no, I've never even been to Canada, although I knew a Canadian girl in school. 81.106.128.79 (talk) (TM in an internet cafe in a grotty part of Cardiff) 81.106.128.79 (talk) 12:59, 23 December 2009 (UTC)
