Hi all, just passing by. I'm actually surprised at Barack Obama finally getting shunted off AOTW all your lovely messages, thanks. ATM I won't be coming back as I have a few personal problems to sort out - number one being a nocturnal housemate with OCD. Not good for the sleep patterns. This, I realise, has made me a lot more snappy, irritable and generally short-tempered than I'd like - Hey, maybe I could join CP! It's affected my Wiki-ing, both here and at WP (where I recently stamped all over a newbie - not a good thing to do, ever) Hope you're all enjoying yourselves though.

Ray Comfort[edit]
If you're just goofing on the block thing, you're being incorrect using the word "hoax" for Comfort. He's claiming it was a parody on his part that they (atheists) deliberately edited out parts to make it look even dumber. I've seen the whole thing and believe me, the editing out of the whole "Coke can argument" was merciful and actually made the banana part stand on its own better (How that's possible, I dunno... Miracle? Hmph.).

Poltergeists[edit]
From Saloonbar:There's too much fanwank about ken and not enough non-CP stuff. There's some decent material on alt.med, but many important pseudoscience writers and concepts are stubs, and articles like poltergeist and séance don't even exist yet, it's ridiculous. Totnesmartin 19:04, 6 May 2009 (UTC) --- I got 'attacked' by a poltergeist in Edinburgh. My guide swear so. See, apparently, the most common form of a poltergeist attack are un-felt 'hits and scratches' that appear after you get home. I got home and had the doozie of a bruise I can't particularly explain. èCourse, I tend to think that it's got something to do with the fact that you are crawling over and under things in dark rooms, ducking through very tight corners, and bumping into all kinds of things and people while all the while being entranced by stories of Scottish legend... But our guide swears it's polters. So I guess I should write your article! --En attendant Godot"«Let the credulous and the vulgar continue to believe that all mental woes can be cured by a daily application of old Greek myths to their private parts. - Hmm... I've personally been conflicted about starting the polt article because of my experiences - I'm too "pro" to write an RW-centric article, and that pretty much goes for other paranormal things. i find it frustrating that I know a lot about the paranormal froma lifetime's reading, but I can't fill in one of RW's big gaps because I'm on the "wrong" side of the argument. still, you go ahead if you want to! In the country![edit]
I was visiting relatives again in Bath last weekend. I hadn't been there for over a year, and I'd forgotten just how beautiful the English countryside looks at this time of the year. When I'm rich (oh yeah, I'm gonna be rich) I think I'll buy a house out in the country. SJ Debaser 11:21, 24 September 2009 (UTC)
Flaming Lips[edit]
Oh come on, their early stuff was great! They sucked after Jonathan Donahue left, though. They succumbed to Nineties Disease. JS Leitch 22:47, 24 September 2009 (UTC)
- I don't know the early stuff, just the twaddle they came up with later. I feel the same way about Simple Minds - when they went all stadium they lost something. Maybe instead of parental advisory stickers, albums should have "made after that cool guy left" or "made after they sold out" stickers. Totnesmartin 08:34, 25 September 2009 (UTC)
- Come to think of it, either Cracked or Mad ran a feature on that theme when the PMRC thing started off. Mock stickers for famous albums. Totnesmartin 10:00, 4 October 2009 (UTC)
- A local record store printed stickers saying "Warning: This record may contain lyrical content". I still have a few somewhere. Ah, the good ole days. ħuman 10:05, 4 October 2009 (UTC)
- That sticker must have been for the techno fans. "EWWW it's got words in it!" Totnesmartin 10:09, 4 October 2009 (UTC)
- LOL - and I only type that when it's true. Nice one. ħuman 10:10, 4 October 2009 (UTC)

Socks[edit]
I'm guessing TOP and Theemperor are behind those socks. The only genuine one is 86.xxx. You can tell by their tone and even by their spelling and grammar (Its too good) that its not me. MarcusCicero 13:35, 4 October 2009 (UTC)
- I'd sort of realised it was someone's game after a bit. In any case, I don't think I responded to any of them thinking they were you. I hope now you'll realise the impossibility of getting us to do things your way. Things could be more focused round here, or indeed more unfocused, but it is what it is and it won't change for one person's sake. Next time, try sayng "wouldn't it be a good idea if" instead of "you should all", and see if that floats. Totnesmartin 13:39, 4 October 2009 (UTC)

Opinions of Public Image Ltd? SJ Debaser 12:34, 11 October 2009 (UTC)
- The first album was patchy with scattered excellence, while Metal Box is brilliance declining into laziness as it goes on. Thereafter, PIL got into a routine of great singles taken from disappointing albums. Overall not as good as they could - and should - have been; they squandered their opportunity and talent. On a personal note, though, watching them sing The Flowers of Romance on TOTP in 1981 made me realise I could make music too, so it occupies a special place in my heart. Totnesmartin 17:08, 11 October 2009 (UTC)
- Oh right. They're playing some gigs this December and I intend to see one of them. SJ Debaser 15:08, 12 October 2009 (UTC)
- If they play the hits it should be good, but with no Keith Levene or Jah Wobble, don't expect fantasticness. Totnesmartin 19:50, 12 October 2009 (UTC)
- I won't. I got the ticket - just me by myself haha! I thought it'd be worth it cuz God knows when I'll be able to see John Lydon live again. SJ Debaser 16:43, 13 October 2009 (UTC)

Watney's Red Barrel[edit]
Yes, Watney's 'Bleeding' Red Barrel (and I hope you know the quote). When I was at that age admission to a pary was only available to those carrying a Party 7 or, for cheapskates, a Party 4. By the small hours the kitchen table was dotted with half full cans, each with their flotilla of dog ends. Ah, the early seventies, what bliss it was to be alive!
Incidentally the pub we actually drank in had Green King Abbott ale served from a wooden barrel on the bar - not even pumped. In those pre CAMRA (well, not strictly pre CAMRA but most pubs sold keg beer) that was an oasis of true beer in a desert of fizzy pop. Bob Soles 15:56, 26 October 2009 (UTC)
- Oh yes, I know the quote... Totnesmartin 18:06, 26 October 2009 (UTC)

Cor blimey...[edit]
BlightyNet is already up?! Well done old chap, I wasn't expecting that to happen so fast! I just signed up... So who's in charge there - as in paying for the domain name and space, etc? You or Genghis or PH? SJ Debaser 23:41, 2 November 2009 (UTC)
- genghis is paying, PH is doing the techy stuff (with Nx's help) and I'm waffling about any old crap. Currently the three of us a loose triumvirate running it all. There's also a strange thing about people changing usernames to signify a break from RW. Can't see the point myself, as long as nobody imports goat jokes and kendoll templates then people can have whatever username they want. Totnesmartin 16:12, 3 November 2009 (UTC)

GO FUCK OFF[edit]
I can't log in under the new username you fucking fascist. Oh, you're so fucking hilarious - grow the fuck up you dimwitted cretin. I suppose all your internet buddies at rationalwiki will now think of you as one of the boys - you irredeemable buffoon. Now fucking change it back. 134.226.1.229 17:34, 3 December 2009 (UTC)
- No. You are a pain in the arse, contribute nothing and waste everybody's time. You are a shitstirring twat. Now fuck off back to your secret website where you can laugh at us for having a website that laughs at other website. And take your brother with you. Totnesmartin 17:37, 3 December 2009 (UTC)

Totnesmartin, I think that I, unfortunately, have to agree with MC here. You're renaming him was, in my opinion, out of line and an abuse of administrative power. But, then again, I've only looked at what's happened since then and not what caused you to stir up the pot. But I do think renaming people against their will is out of line. AnarchoGoon Swatting Assflys is how I earn my living 17:43, 3 December 2009 (UTC)
- For a normal user, it would have been out of line. For MC, it gives him just what he needs. — Sincerely, Neveruse513 / Talk / Block 17:45, 3 December 2009 (UTC)
- Which, in my opinion, is why it was stupid. Do you really think he won't create an even greater fuss because of what you did? Punky Your mental puke relief 17:46, 3 December 2009 (UTC)
- I presumed it was done so that he would create an even greater fuss because of what Martin did. — Sincerely, Neveruse513 / Talk / Block 17:47, 3 December 2009 (UTC)
- So, in other words, it was uber-feeding the troll? What the fuck for? Lord Goonie Hooray! I'm helping! 17:48, 3 December 2009 (UTC)
- Because trolls need food, dammit. — Sincerely, Neveruse513 / Talk / Block 17:49, 3 December 2009 (UTC)
- I see. But, seriously, I think it was way out of line. And that sucks because I hate defending MarcusCicero. The Goonie Punk Can't sleep, clowns will eat me! 17:51, 3 December 2009 (UTC)
- I wasn't trying to wind MC up - he's perfectly capable of doing that without help. i merely succumbed to temptation. Totnesmartin 18:14, 3 December 2009 (UTC)

- His only motivation was to be 'one of the boys'. He's a pathetic sycophant. MarcusCicero 13:07, 4 December 2009 (UTC)
- Nah dude, Martin's always been 'one of the boys.' In fact, he's top boy. I often dream of being a boy in the same group as Martin, the top boy whose boots I am not worthy to lick. His actions were a mere example of his power as 'boy,' granted they were silly but OH it's pissed you off MC, so worth it it was. SJ Debaser 13:11, 4 December 2009 (UTC)
Semprini[edit]
Why did you add it to the title blacklist? -- Nx / talk 22:26, 5 December 2009 (UTC)
- Does this answer your question?
Totnesmartin (talk) 09:54, 6 December 2009 (UTC)
- Ok, but is there a real reason to prevent anyone from creating an account with the word Semprini in the name and to prevent non-sysops from creating pages that have the word Semprini in it? -- Nx / talk 10:13, 6 December 2009 (UTC)
- Not really, I was deliberately wasting everybody's time and deserve a spanking. Totnesmartin (talk) 21:45, 6 December 2009 (UTC)
