Article of the Weak[edit]

After some random browsing for conspiracy theories, I came across Icke's website. A possible candidate for Article of the Weak, as it hasn't updated for a while and I think people were pondering what to do next? Armondikov 10:02, 13 September 2008 (EDT)

probably a good idea to update. At this stage of overdueness, almost anything will do and iguana boy fits the bill nicely. Totnesmartin 12:05, 13 September 2008 (EDT)
I've been flicking through the website more thoroughly, it's huge. Going to be difficult to single out one article. But of course, not all of them need to be 10s across the board like the CP:atheism one. Armondikov 17:31, 13 September 2008 (EDT)

Ohmigod[edit]

You have a David Icke article?!? You guys are my heroes. The electrocutioner 00:59, 18 January 2009 (EST)

May I Propose A New Category Just For This Guy?[edit]

I propose we create a "Tin Foil Hat" category solely for this guy. It would suit him well. I can't believe I actually knew someone who believed this garbage!!!The Goonie 1 23:41, 19 May 2009 (UTC)

We might already have something like that - dig around the cats a bit and see what pops up? ħumanUser talk:Human 00:18, 20 May 2009 (UTC)
He's not the only one this fits. Alex Jones comes to mind. So does militia movement. Secret Squirrel 01:30, 20 May 2009 (UTC)
Waaal, I did create a Category:Reptilian Shape Shifters way back when, but some humorless type deleted it as too snarky for RW's *serious* mission. Secret Squirrel 01:31, 20 May 2009 (UTC)
Surely we have "wingnuts" or something even closer? I'd recommend searching he category space for "tin foil"? ħumanUser talk:Human 02:47, 20 May 2009 (UTC)
I believe the Batshit Crazy category is what we want here. Secret Squirrel 00:00, 21 May 2009 (UTC)
Doesn't go far enough. There's batshit crazy and then there's this guy. The only reason he's not in some nice secure mental facility right now is that people seem to believe that celebrities can't go off their rockers (Britney Spears excepted) - Ebon (talk) 17:37, 16 June 2010 (UTC)
"David Icke crazy" would be a few notches above "batshit crazy" on the insanity scale. Dude makes Alex Jones seem sort of reasonable. Nebuchadnezzar (talk) 05:40, 28 July 2011 (UTC)

Reptilians and Dr Who[edit]

Is there any connection between the reptilians and the Slitheen [1] from the TV Series Dr Who (borrowing the idea etc)?

Given the tendency for 'royal and other notables by blows' surely most 'ordinary people' would have a bit of reptilian in them? Jackiespeel (talk) 15:59, 31 December 2009 (UTC)

There is a race within Doctor Who called the Silurians. They are humanoid reptiles that live underground. Nothing about shape-shifting or inter-dimentional travel, but it certainly does give one the thought that perhaps Icke has just watched A LOT of Sci-Fi, possibly while taking substances, or possibly is just mentally ill. dEcib3L 04:52, 4 October 2012 (UTC)

I've been blown by a reptilian who turned out to be a member of one of the original "12 tribes" of zion, or is it 13? or 33?. It was the greatest BJ I've every had. No wonder you chosen ones rule the world under the supervision of your reptilian overlords and wikis like this one. — Unsigned, by: 81.154.97.82 / talk / contribs

Icke and the reptillians[edit]

Can he prove that #he# is not a reptilian carrying out a double bluff - appearing so crackpottery that people disbelieve him? A strong clue in that he does not suggest ways of dealing with the reptilians. 82.44.143.26 (talk) 18:33, 22 November 2010 (UTC)

Would a link to the Serpent Seed Doctrine be appropriate? 212.85.6.26 (talk) 17:53, 12 May 2011 (UTC)

Ah, but how would you prove you are not a reptilian? Proving things is tough, and proving negatives more so.--BobSpring is sprung! 18:25, 2 September 2011 (UTC)
Furthermore, can he prove that he isn't a projection beamed down from the moon by the Reptoids? Nebuchadnezzar (talk) 18:45, 2 September 2011 (UTC)

comment from IP who blanked talk page to add this[edit]

Get a grip! if David Icke is wrong then why do you not leave it at that? Why do you have to try and make him out to be retarded? Lets be honest hes making alot of money all over the world and is a fantastic public speaker!

I think more of us would prefer to listen and judge for ourselves, as no one asks us to believe a word of what David says, not even David himself!

But here you are... who ever you are! Trying to make a mackory when you know absolutely nothing in comparisson to this man.

What a waste of time to try to copy wikipedia with a load of bull like this! Pointless, childish and yes this does look like some one trying to discredit him, with no name displayed, no contact details on the website and going in to the finest detail as to what your specific problems are with icke.

If you thaught it was B"""SHI" then why did you keep watching and researching? was it simply to write this rubbish?

All a little bit suspicious to me.

Kind Regards,

He's crazy, dude. Plain and simple. He exhibits paranoid schizophrenia.

Thank you, BoN, for that complete shit-storm of stupid you typed up.... And of COURSE we're talking bad about Icke; we're all disinfo shills for the Illuminati/Jews/NWO/Monsanto/Big Pharma/REPTOIDS/whatever tin-hat evil entity is currently in vogue. Didn't you know? :P User:TokenSkepticMagician talk 13:21 21 January 2014 (UTC)

Linking "lizard" to "David Cameron"[edit]

Malusage of "woo"[edit]

Formally "woo²" means something like paranormal, occult, and supernatural claims (per James Randi, the inventor of this term). My favourite insaneling Mr Icke doesn't deserve such a simple label, but should be labeled for his much more elaborate methodology: a very productive mad cult leader that uses ufology and other pseudoscience, rather than supernatural explanations. Rursus dixit (yada³!) 19:39, 18 February 2012 (UTC)

And yeah, he have gained a large number of adherents (for example [3]) lately – I'm doing some research in the early church history and find Icke adherents far more often than being pleasant. Rursus dixit (yada³!) 19:44, 18 February 2012 (UTC)
Where, specifically, is the problem? Is it Category:Woo-meisters? As he does peddle that sort of BS so seems fairly accurate. Scarlet A.pngbomination 19:45, 18 February 2012 (UTC)
Sorry, I don't remember. I just remember that I saw "woo" and thought it the understatement of the century. I'll analyse it later... Rursus dixit (yada³!) 21:47, 18 February 2012 (UTC)

CP and David Icke[edit]

He's listed as one of the Greatest Conservative Sportstars because, "Currently best known for his outspoken opposition to attempts by liberals to control government and people's lives." http://www.conservapedia.com/Essay:Greatest_Conservative_Sports_Stars

Royal sproglets[edit]

So when do they develop reptilian characteristics? How come lizardlets don't 'switch' between forms unintentionally? (And on Planet Slitheen-equivalent do they have someone promoting the humanoid-takover equivalent?) 171.33.222.26 (talk) 17:52, 22 July 2013 (UTC)

Never, because it is, in fact, a fake baby. Scarlet A.pngbomination 11:37, 24 July 2013 (UTC)

Too complicated to be plausible ... and perhaps it was a Kate-body-double they were commenting on.

How many generations from being a royal by-blow does the reptilian-ness cease? 171.33.222.26 (talk) 15:20, 26 July 2013 (UTC)

Marx and the reptilians[edit]

Inappropriate views[edit]

Having glanced at one of his books which had escaped into a library - anti-semitic comments; a piece of reconstituted chicken-and-gunk is a subliminal message etc etc.

Separate page on reptoids[edit]

Updating this article[edit]

It could do with some updating. However, the very thought of sitting through the videos and radio shows to find refs is fairly terrifying. In particular Icke's increasingly rabid rants on more recent terrorist events, DAESH, and grand paedophile conspiracies (including energy feasting by reptoid masters on kidnapped children). I might try (only might)--TheroadtoWiganPier (talk) 05:41, 16 January 2016 (UTC)

Does he really believe what he writes?[edit]

Is he an example of Poe's Law? Is he a satirist? Is he a con man like the leader of Nuwaubianism? --86.162.141.213 (talk) 16:13, 2 April 2016 (UTC)

Although I am no authority on the subject, I think that he is genuinely insane. From son of god to lizard people, he believes what he says. Pippa (talk) 16:29, 2 April 2016 (UTC)

99% of the population of Britain and 99.99% of the world's population are unaware that David Icke is still alive. He's like Schroedinger's dingbat. --Annanoon (talk) 23:34, 28 June 2018 (UTC)

my revert[edit]

It's kind of hard to justify why I reverted that BoN, but the long and the short of it is that Icke's conspiracy fundamentally depends on an us(every normal person) vs them(the powerful, secret infiltrators from another planet) contention. And if he were to imply every sane person was a lizard person instead of their dupe, he'd basically lose that framing. Then it's just me(the last human being who sees through their lies) vs everyone on the planet. The power of the conspiracy comes from the, if you'll forgive the Marxism, natural suspicion people have about the powerful imbued with a supernatural and literally alien quality. If you come out and openly oppose him, yeah, you might get the secret lizard treatment, but he mostly asserts that most people don't know the truth. ikanreed 🐐Bleat at me 16:34, 28 March 2019 (UTC)

  • No worries, I believe that SPOV involves not getting invested in a particular snark. I probably got a little too happy with the opportunity to get my Python on, in any case. :)
