I only a little while ago learned that I've been singing it wrong for 25 years--it's "a pile of smoke and leather," not "powder, smoke, and leather," as I had always thought. I still think mine's better, though. Nailed a retread to my feet and prayed for better weather. 16:08, 21 February 2013 (UTC)

Sasha, I will explain this to you in small words, in the hopes that you understand. The edit in question is not me trying to bring rape into the discussion. The edit in question is what as known as a "joke." The point of the joke is to call you out for the way in which you continually introduce the topic of sexual violence into the Saloon Bar and other places on the wiki. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any further questions on this issue. Inspiration Move me brightly. 14:23, 30 March 2013 (UTC)
I realize it's a joke, but by making it, you're continually bringing it up. When I say I'm not going to discuss it, and you start making jokes about it in unrelated discussions, it appears you are trying to restart discussion about it. That would be trolling. –Inquisitor Sasha 14:32, 30 March 2013 (UTC)

No, they're really not. I don't have issues IRL, and even on other websites, it's not quite a bad. I think it's a little trouble with the goofy nature and knowing what to do and what other people do is acceptable. I have studied psychology, and I strongly discourage e-psychology. Many of the things that point to serious disorders can have very simple non severe causes. For example, I was thinking that a long term troll I had an encounter with was a sociopath and has a severe detachment from reality (not just the kind religious people have). Then I realized he could have just been lying to appear more favorable and to play the victim. –Inquisitor Sasha (Talk | contribs | block) 17:07, 1 April 2013 (UTC)

"Creationism" as a political issue was not anywhere near on the American radar in 1968. Watch the presentism.[edit]

I took high school biology in 1964 or so, and I remember the teacher putting out a passing disclaimer before going into the whole evolutionistic spiel. I didn't say the idea didn't exist, there have always been creationists and critics of the theory of evolution. But I don't see those ideas having the kind of social life in 1968 that they would have decades later--certainly not to the point where they would play into a pop-culture social critique like PotA. Shall we go, you and I while we can/Through the transitive nightfall of diamonds? 13:58, 23 April 2013 (UTC)
Agreed. Rabble was being roused over different issues. There was a lengthy undeclared war going on, and commie hippie fags were a bigger problem than evolutionism. I unblocked him, but I did remove sysop rights from a totally unrelated (chuckle) account that is also retired. I don't think we block 13 year old for the crime of getting in annoying internet slapfests. Feel free to reblock if I'm wrong. Hipocrite (talk) 19:13, 3 June 2013 (UTC)

If I thought it would've stuck, I wouldn't have done it. Faced with mysteries dark and vast/statements just seem vain at last. 19:39, 3 June 2013 (UTC)
Forests has not retired as his User/Talk page LIES and he should be forced to remove said "retirement". He also is blocking users which is another evidence he is not retired. And, yes, I am Forests' jilted homosexual lover. P.S. A removal from the vandal bin would be appreciated. eveshi (talk) 15:30, 5 June 2013 (UTC)

Any reason for reverting that change? I'm going to guess you haven't read the survey that was being talked about in that paragraph (the NISVS) so was something wrong with my grammar or syntax or something? or is it just because I'm new so new people automatically get their stuff reverted? Incredible threats[edit]

Wow, your last little bit of macho posturing on my wall sure had me shaking in my boots. Or it would have, if it was at all credible. I don't see why your subjective views on what makes an edit good/shite carry anymore weight than mine, or any of the other people who edit RW. So much for polite disagreements.Tuscarora 05:31, 9 June 2013 (UTC)

Why I'm here[edit]

Seeing that several people tried to impersonate me, I decided to open an account here in order to prevent it from happening again. While I can't prevent more "Markmans" from appearing, I can at least write a message on my Conservapedia's user page (and this is indeed what I have done) clarifying that this is my account and that all other edits to RW made in my name are fake. I'm thinking of maybe editing some RW articles not related to Conservapedia but I'm not sure if I'm going to follow on those plans. If you want to you can block me, just don't delete this account. I just need it in order to differentiate myself from fake "Markmans". - ConservapediaMarkman (talk) 15:35, 14 June 2013 (UTC)

You do seem to have a soft spot for Markman as you always clean up his user page, or are you offended by the word wanker? — Unsigned, by: some troll bon / talk / contribs

I'm offended by childish displays of pettiness and stupidity. Run along, now, Princess, and go play with your dollies. The grown-ups are talking. If I knew the way/I would take you home. 18:19, 15 June 2013 (UTC)

Why hello there[edit]

Why hello there good sir, you seem like a paragon of liberty and virtue. Would you please remove me from the vandal bin and restore me to my ancestral liberty? MarcusCicero (talk) 18:18, 15 June 2013 (UTC)

I'm sorely tempted, G, but we both know that won't stick. If I knew the way/I would take you home. 18:20, 15 June 2013 (UTC)
You have the power to do a great deal of good, but balk when faced by leviathan
You have the power to resist evil, yet you collaborate with it
You have the power to be more than a man, but a great man
You have the power to ascend to the lights of heaven, and take your place among the elect
Yet despite all of this
You collaborate
How perverse. MarcusCicero (talk) 18:55, 15 June 2013 (UTC)

Do you watch South Park?[edit]

Did you see the episode where the kids are sent to a tolerance camp because they complained about their teacher doing gay sexual stuff in the classroom?

You should watch that episode. It's particularly relevant. –Александр(а) Ehrenstein (Talk | Contribs | Ragebox) 04:57, 16 June 2013 (UTC)
No thanks. If I knew the way/I would take you home. 05:01, 16 June 2013 (UTC)
Why, because you know from the title that it's going to be about intolerant people like you who don't tolerate opinions different from their own? You know that I started a website for making fun of bigotry, right? I make a distinction between actual bigotry and intolerance against other people and someone who doesn't agree with me. If I consider people intolerant only on that basis, than I'm being bigoted. –Александр(а) Ehrenstein (Talk | Contribs | Ragebox) 05:08, 16 June 2013 (UTC)
No. Because I have a limited amount of time left on the planet and I do not want to spend it watching cartoons. If I knew the way/I would take you home. 12:52, 16 June 2013 (UTC)

RE SyPhillis[edit]

uh are you offended? Phyllis schlafly is pretty objectively a disgusting human being for reasons beyond number, and the fact her name sounds like an std just makes insulting her all the more easy. It is neither due to her being a woman (hell were she a man I would have used the exact same insult with the name "Phillip") nor due to her being old if that was what you were trying to imply. It is due to her being a horrible, horrible person. Judge HoldenThe Judge Smiles 22:38, 23 June 2013 (UTC)

No, not offended. Just bemused at the plucking of low-hanging fruit. The last time I heard a joke like that was in, like, seventh grade. I usually expect better from this crowd. If I knew the way/I would take you home. 22:41, 23 June 2013 (UTC)
With certain people I think any non bigotted or discriminatory insult is fair game, no matter how crude, dumb, or easy it may be. When talking about someone not so transparantly nasty and loathesome I usually try to put more thought in. Judge HoldenThe Judge Smiles 22:47, 23 June 2013 (UTC)

Linux and bad hardware[edit]

The first piece of advice I give troubleshooting a piece of bad hardware is to see if it works in Windows. The second piece of advice I give is to see what error messages are in /var/log/messages. Samiam (talk) 03:13, 1 July 2013 (UTC)

I'm not sure what exactly led you to believe that I was "boasting of planning vandalism", because I can assure you I was not. The vandal who constantly attack my CP talk page is not me nor do I know whom he is, I just assume that he follows me both here and at CP because of his use of Soprano related aliases. Notice that in his recent incarnation the vandal attacked Andy as well, doing such an act on my part would have been a fine way to get my real account permbanned.

Maybe when I wrote "I'm waiting for when he'll register as A.J, I hope I'll be the one who gets to block this account and not someone else" you understood it as if I was saying that I'm planning on registering as A.J and than engaging in vandalism. That was not the case, I was merely saying that I hope the vandal would register under this alias as it would be satisfying for me to block such an account since I don't like the character of A.J on The Sopranos.

Sorry for any misunderstandings. - Vote Markman for a better tomorrow! (talk) 23:42, 4 July 2013 (UTC)

I'm talking about you sharing your throbbing erection at the prospect of blocking people on CP. How about you not talk about your CP activities whatsoever. If I knew the way/I would take you home. 23:49, 4 July 2013 (UTC)
Oh, I see. I thought you were following the theory User:Ghost suggested a while ago about how I'm the one behind the vandal attacks on my CP talk page. Now I see that you're just being douchy and getting angry at someone for joking about blocking A.J Soprano from CP. Gottcha. - Vote Markman for a better tomorrow! (talk) 23:55, 4 July 2013 (UTC)
The reputation of this community as something that is not a co-ordinating place for CP vandalism is fragile at best. Your trolling is not helping us. If I knew the way/I would take you home. 00:11, 5 July 2013 (UTC)
