Without a doubt, one of the greatest actors ever[edit]
Clint? Seriously?? Or was that just a joke? weaseLOId~ 22:52, 20 December 2008 (EST)
Well, if you ever need a masculine role model, no one is better than him. Strange, though, I thought the conservatives would have agreed with me, but right after posting that I was banned.--Nate River 22:59, 20 December 2008 (EST)
- And infinitely too. RodW is ignoring what he's been told about not disabling account creation when blocking for usernames. Many of us suspect he is a phoney. In fact, his only contribution today was blocking you. Reckon he just checks the recent changes for anybody not using their real name so he can block them, so it was nothing to do with the comment itself. weaseLOId~ 23:05, 20 December 2008 (EST)
- Actually, Clint is a pretty good actor, he's got the whole intensity thing down, and over the years it seems he's been game for just about anything. He's got my respect, that's certain. --Kels 23:03, 20 December 2008 (EST)
My Banning[edit]
- Maybe it was because I put I was a liberal on my userpage. I wanted to prove Andy wrong when he said that no one admits to being a liberal.--Nate River 23:27, 20 December 2008 (EST)
- Maybe he didn't want his name in your little book? --Kels 23:41, 20 December 2008 (EST)
- There are peoples trying to purge CP of liberals at the moment (TK). But I think your banning was just Rod playing his new blocking powers. See my comment above. weaseLOId~ 06:31, 21 December 2008 (EST)
- It's still a neat 1-2 by Rod & TK. I mean Kira's been there since Nov and now when Rod spots him, he gets done for his name. Then TK issues another range block citing "vandal Kira". I think TK's Operation Last One Turn Out The Lights is running smoothly. Good to see you here LordKira (I use the Lord, 'cos like Kels I'm a bit leery of that book of yours.) --PsyGremlinWhut? 06:50, 21 December 2008 (EST)
- Actually I hadn't seen the IP block when I wrote the comment above. I was just commenting about TK in response to LordKira's comment about liberals being blocked. Hmmmm. Looks like Rod just watches Recent Changes for anybody he can block, & TK checks the Block Log to make sure anybody who was blocked gets their IP stamped on. weaseLOId~ 06:57, 21 December 2008 (EST)

Retitling[edit]
Procedure,
- Click relocate
- Type in the new page name in the box to new title
- Click move page
- You will get a screen that says Old Name moved to New Name, click on Old Name
- Go to the tool box and click What links here
- Fix all the redirects.
- With your new sysop powers delete the old page.
Hope that helps. Oh and congratulations you are a sysop. - User 20:28, 3 January 2009 (EST)
Name[edit]
You've also mucked up the whole user name thing. Redirecting from Lord Kira was wrong, what you need is to be renamed. Right now your user page does not show, say "contributions", since it's not a real user page. We need to fix this ASAP, and it might hurt a little. ħuman 22:00, 3 January 2009 (EST)
It doesn't work like that. Do you want a rename? - User 21:17, 3 January 2009 (EST)
Yeah--Nate River 21:44, 3 January 2009 (EST)
- Please, do it right. And don't sysop this lovely editor for a few days, please? Our delightful friend is learning by breaking, let's get the basic set of buttons working before we give them the mop and bucket, k? ħuman 22:08, 3 January 2009 (EST)
Okay it is done. - User 22:39, 3 January 2009 (EST)
- Thanks for helping out the new guy, Pi... and, Nate, sorry if I came across a bit harsh, but I saw an impending pile of really difficult to fix issues. Looks like the Pi guy got on top of it though. ħuman 22:41, 3 January 2009 (EST)
S'ok, maybe I should just stick to creating articles. No sweat. BTW, I got the mop and bucket--Nate River 22:52, 3 January 2009 (EST).
- No problem. And congratulations on your demotion ;) ħuman 23:09, 3 January 2009 (EST)
Just dropping by...[edit]
I seem to have missed welcoming you when you first joined, so I thought I'd drop by to say, "Hi". Also, I wanted to thank you being so willing to move your own article. Radioactive afikomen Please ignore all my awful pre-2014 comments. 01:36, 4 January 2009 (EST)
No probs. I am learning from my mistakes and hopefully getting better with each screw up.--Nate River 15:13, 4 January 2009 (EST)
Picture[edit]
We had a chat about the picture on your userpage a while ago. Unless you clear up the copyright status it is going to have to go, even fair use doesn't cover "I think this would look good on my RationalWiki user page". So as not to leave a red link I am going to violate you a little, sorry in advance. - User 23:01, 15 January 2009 (EST)
- Lets see. Teru MiKami. I think it might fit better over at cp. Anyway, que sera, sera. I'm just going to look for something else. Maybe just a little fanart or something.--Nate River 23:42, 15 January 2009 (EST)
- I can copy by hand, it just takes alot longer.--Nate River 23:46, 15 January 2009 (EST)
- If you can find out that it is fan art restore it. The photo of the Death Note book isn't a problem so long as the photographer has released it into the public domain. - User 01:30, 16 January 2009 (EST)

That is from one very obscure Offspring song that little diatribe. - User 03:11, 16 January 2009 (EST)
Offspring Rules:)I have all their albums. BTW, you know what song? I really wanna hear it--Nate River 14:38, 16 January 2009 (EST)
- Sorry, it's that removed track from the first album.Kill the President--Nate River 14:42, 16 January 2009 (EST)
- You have never heard it? - User 19:36, 16 January 2009 (EST)
No. My copy of the original album is post '01, meaning that that tract was removed, and every time I try and download it it has an error. I was just looking up quotes by Dexter because he is my hero.--Nate River 21:25, 16 January 2009 (EST)

Pi's talk page[edit]
It's past 3am here, so I'm not going to revert/move your comment since there is the possibility that you posting in an age-old talkpage archive has some deeper sense I'm missing. But I will note that in general, your post is more likely to be seen if you post it on the actual talkpage. :P --Sid 21:05, 17 January 2009 (EST)
- How strange it took me a few minutes to find it. Your welcome I have heard DUI I think I have it on mp3 somewhere it is about the only original song harder to get then Kill the President (I have a very early copy of it). The only thing harder to come by is their cover songs on an EP that had less the 1,000 print (vinyl too). - User 02:06, 18 January 2009 (EST)
Troubled with your "creations"[edit]
Looking over some of the new articles you have added, I wonder if you know what we are trying to do here? They seem a bit off-topic, or at best straining to sort-of get on-topic. Also, the writing style needs work. Please use complete sentences. Please "bold" the article title in its first use. Most importantly, please use some references, add some categories if you can, and figure out a reason they fit into the "web" of RW by linking to other articles and finding articles that could possible link to them. End of mean schooling :) ħuman 00:42, 18 January 2009 (EST)
- By the way, the Joe Hill thing was a pretty good one. Nice to have it here. ħuman 01:14, 18 January 2009 (EST)
- Thanks.--Nate River 01:16, 18 January 2009 (EST)
- You're welcome - I enjoyed reading it. It makes me want to find more to add... all I really know is that Joan Baez song about him, I guess - well, not just that, but you see my point I hope. I hope we continue to see you around when you feel like it. ħuman 01:20, 18 January 2009 (EST)
- Thanks.--Nate River 01:16, 18 January 2009 (EST)
Leaving RW for a while[edit]
I am taking a leave from RW. I now realize that I am in too deep of water and am heading back to shore. I still support you guys, and am keeping my account active cause I plan to return in the future. Andy and his followers are nothing but a cult and must be stopped. Till then, see ya!--Nate River 01:10, 18 January 2009 (EST)
- There's no need to leave RW. I know it's disheartening when people criticise articles or edits, which I'm guessing is part of what this is about, but try not to take it too personally. It is a collaborative wiki, so often the things like categories & refs get added by other people (although, as Human says, it's good to get in the habit of doing them), so I don't think it's a big issue. PS. I've reworded your simulated reality article, hopefully getting across what I think you were trying to say with it, plus tied it into some philosophy & stuff. Hope this is OK. - Actually, I am just doing some soul searching. Human struck a point with me. What exactly am I doing here? At CP, I decided to fix articles related to anime before I was banned. Here, I have no purpose other than a petty vengeance. That is not enough for me. CP does concern me greatly, and I want to be instrumental in it's eventual destruction. I just want to add more than a few jokes here and there. As of the moment, I am reading some of Philly's articles and plan to argue them here, but until then, I'm out.--Nate River 21:47, 18 January 2009 (EST)

Can you help me?[edit]
I have this coin in my collection, but have had no luck identifying it. I am pretty sure it is Japanese cause that is the royal seal of Japan on it. If anyone can help me, it would be appreciated.
- Whoa, that's cool. I wonder if that Japanese sysop at CP would know? OK, you won't be able to upload the image there, or anything useful, oh well. Wikipedia any help? ħuman 22:46, 8 February 2009 (EST)
- No, all they have over there is a page on yen. I'm not sure wtf this coin is.--Nate River 22:49, 8 February 2009 (EST)

I'm a little late getting in on this conversation, but the coin on the left is from 1942. It is a 10 sen piece (according to the world coins book I have). I'm curious to know what the obverse of the coin on the right looks like, so I can give you a year on that as well. I, too, collect coins from all over the world. I have almost one from every country, except a good portion of Africa and Oceania. Aboriginal Noise Oh, what a lovely tea party! 02:57, 2 May 2009 (UTC)
- They are both the same coin. As I stated before, I had (misplaced one) two of them and when I did the scan, I placed them side by side. Anyway, cool talking to another collector. You might find this interesting, I have a rupee from the East India Company dated 1840 and a Canadian coin celebrating the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II--Nate River 03:33, 2 May 2009 (UTC)
- That sounds nice! In my collection I have a 1717 colonial US coin (with Louis XV on the front), a one-pfenning German coin from 1751, and money from Kurdistan, which doesn't even exist (yet).
- Damn, I don't have anything that old (except maybe one of my Asian coins with the square holes) Hey, maybe you could help me with another coin of mine. It says New Sennari Olympia Osaka on it. I'll upload a pic in a bit--Nate River 03:48, 2 May 2009 (UTC)
- All I've got that is that cool are some really old British pennies. Big, heavy chunks of copper. ħuman 03:57, 2 May 2009 (UTC)
- How old? Anyhow, Nate, that coin in question may actually be a token or a medal. A quick Yahoo! search showed a "New Sennari Olympia Osaka" listed amongst the exonumia, or coins that aren't legal tender. I'll take a look at the picture though. Aboriginal Noise Oh, what a lovely tea party! 04:02, 2 May 2009 (UTC)

- A lot of mine is European currency that became obsolete after the introduction of the euro. I have some keepers, a nazi coin and a meat token from WW2. Anyway, need help with this new coin/token.--Nate River 04:06, 2 May 2009 (UTC)
It says "Osaka" but its design looks Eastern European. I'll have to do some extra digging on this one. It isn't in the book I have, and as that is the only resource at hand right now, I'll have to look elsewhere. Some of those coins can be worth something (more than face value), especially if from a smaller country (i.e. Liechtenstein) and of a less-than-common mint mark. Aboriginal Noise Oh, what a lovely tea party! 04:10, 2 May 2009 (UTC)
- I know all about that.--Nate River 21:25, 2 May 2009 (UTC)
- OK, now I'm confused. Both emblems on the coin appear to be Eastern European, one Austrian, the other Czech (?) and it says Osaka. I asked a Japanese friend and she couldn't help. Possibly a token from a World's Fair? Was there one in Osaka? I'll check. Aboriginal Noise Oh, what a lovely tea party! 02:26, 3 May 2009 (UTC)

- Sorry, accidentally took down the old image. Anyway, it doesn't match the commemorative token. Osaka did place a bid on either the 08 or 10 Olympics, but I highly doubt that is what this coin is for--Nate River 03:11, 3 May 2009 (UTC)

Enjoy! We'll see you (I hope) when you get home. ħuman 04:01, 25 April 2009 (UTC)
I see you like The Offspring.[edit]
They are classical favorite of mine. I met them years ago at the Target Center (I was, like 15) and got Dexter and Noodles to each sign my "Smash" CD case. It was awesome, and I don't care how much crap people talk about them these days, they are pretty awesome on a personal level. The Goonie 1 (talk) 03:44, 10 August 2009 (UTC)
- I...envy...you. I have never seen them in concert, you are awesome. "Ixnay" happens to be my favorite CD, followed by "Ignition" Their latest was great, but I feel as though they were trying to get into guitar hero with it--Tabris (talk) 03:50, 10 August 2009 (UTC)
- I saw them in May of 08 at the Santa Barbara Bowl. They were awesome. Web (talk) 03:53, 10 August 2009 (UTC)
- I saw them on the Americana tour in 99, they were awesome. I have a permanent dip in my ribs on my right side from a mosh pit injury that night. - π 03:55, 10 August 2009 (UTC)
- I agree that I don't care for their latest album, either. They are one of those bands that goes through phases of good and bad. Ixnay was good, Americana wasn't that great, Splinter was okay, and Smash is, by far my favorite. Probably because Smash was the first album of theirs that I owned, and it is what got me into punk. The incident above was in June of 2001.The Goonie 1 (talk) 03:57, 10 August 2009 (UTC)
- I first got into them after hearing their songs playing "Crazy Taxi". A friend was a fan and let me burn some CDs, "Americana", "Splinter" and "Conspiracy of One". Took me a year to track down the rest (at the time). Fav song has to be "Original Prankster"--Tabris (talk) 04:04, 10 August 2009 (UTC)

I was getting to it[edit]
I was going to post up some coins this week, as last week was kinda busy. Oh well. I'll put some up on my user page instead. Aboriginal Noise Oh, what a lovely tea party! 20:42, 26 October 2009 (UTC)
- I don't really care about something in fun - but I didn't see a consensus for deletion.--BobNot Jim 20:45, 26 October 2009 (UTC)
- I restored it, for now. I agree with Bob that we should have discussed it first. AnarchoGoon Swatting Assflys is how I earn my living 20:48, 26 October 2009 (UTC)
- Yeah, if it's funspace there's generally no need to delete anything at all (unless it really is bad). Although I have to say that I am an avid acoinist. sshole 20:49, 26 October 2009 (UTC)
- A-coinist, as in despising metallic pocket change and those who partake in hobbies of this nature? Aboriginal Noise Oh, what a lovely tea party! 20:50, 26 October 2009 (UTC)
- I don't collect coins any time that I'm not collecting stamps. Although as not collecting coins takes up so much of my time I have less time to not collect stamps than I used to, I hardly have any time to not collect mini figurines any more! sshole 20:57, 26 October 2009 (UTC)

- While I think Ace is an asshole, I cannot, in good conscious, agree to such a cause. MC has had too many chances.--Thanatos (talk) 00:30, 11 December 2009 (UTC)
- I think you'll find that most people here don't buy your bullshit Ace. All that crap about getting drunk and all that shit all the time. Most people here think you're an up your own hole timewaster who really has the most disinteresting RL of them all. Merry Christmas! 86.40.202.226 (talk) Thanatos
- Its all well and good to say that, Ace, but the reality is that anybody can come out with that. Why do you go on about how much you drink all the time? Do you not see it makes you look pathetic? — Unsigned, by: 86.45.218.195 / talk / contribs 12:32, 24 December 2009 (UTC)

MEMO Happy New Year, Thanatos. This is from Useful Mei. It is an appropriate time for festivities, like alcohol. Today try not to eat too much, or too little. |

Rename required[edit]
Could you rename this annoying dick to Pony, per the discussion on his nearly unreadable talk page? - π 01:41, 1 March 2010 (UTC)

how can you be a crat here and not know that?[edit]
Of course I know that--I just don't think "it matters to one really stupid guy" should be a criterion for us anymore. CP is soooo 2008. P-Foster (talk) 22:07, 11 April 2010 (UTC)

Hello[edit]
How are you holding up these days? The Goonie Punk Can't sleep, clowns will eat me! 21:56, 15 October 2010 (UTC)
- Headaches. My sister is completely out of control. She told my mom that it was because of her she is suicidal. Since my dad only works evening shifts, lil sis just runs off with friends and tries to ditch school. To get her to do housework, my parents pay her. She had too much freedom during her recovery. Just friends and riding the ATV. She refuses to see a councilor and I have to support my mom. I fear for mom, lil sis is running her raged--Thanatos (talk) 22:04, 15 October 2010 (UTC)
- Damn, man. That's fucked up. Sorry to hear that. The Spikey Punk I'm punking my punk! 23:19, 19 October 2010 (UTC)
