your contribution to the feminism[edit]

Howdy, feel free to chime in on the feminism article's talk page. You employed some legit science to make a point and that deserves some discussion. It may not be a popular point around here (or just in my own head), but you've chosen a decent way to broach it. MarmotHead (talk) 17:46, 11 November 2014 (UTC)

Thank you. It says it's locked for editing. I'm not sure if I need to do something to respond.
It is (or should be) locked just for unregistered users (not you).
Also, note the use of colons to indent and the use of "~~~~" to sign things.
Further, notice me not taking my own suggestions to sign (hides face in shame) and I'll try to fix it so you (and not BoN's) can edit the talk page. MarmotHead (talk) 18:07, 11 November 2014 (UTC)
You should now be able to comment on that talk page. Play nice! MarmotHead (talk) 18:10, 11 November 2014 (UTC)
It still says it's locked to prevent editing. If it's too much of an issue, I understand. Also, sorry about my lack of Wiki knowledge. Still playing catch-up. Parogar (talk) 18:16, 11 November 2014 (UTC)
No worries. I make those mistakes at least once a week! As for the editing, I also see the lock notice at the top, but I can still edit it. I changed your permissions (a little sooner than typically happens) so you should be able to, also. MarmotHead (talk) 18:34, 11 November 2014 (UTC)

Janitorial Status[edit]

I've made you a sysop, as your contributions seem sane. Just try to remember that sysop-try is basically janitorial work, not an elevated platform. For more information, see the guide.брэндэн (talk) 22:07, 13 December 2014 (UTC)

I don't fully know what that is, but thanks lol.Parogar (talk) 22:37, 13 December 2014 (UTC)

It means that you can now slow down vandals, and protect pages. брэндэн (talk) 05:08, 14 December 2014 (UTC)

Ah, thank you. But I don't know too much about when/if to do that, so I'll wait a bit and see how others do it before even considering it. Parogar (talk) 05:19, 14 December 2014 (UTC)

I know we don't get along[edit]

But I promise this is not about our debates, and strictly a structural thing: can you please restrain your urge to reply multiple times to each post. It's awful for edit conflicts, it's awful for readability, and it makes it hard to tell what your main point is. Ikanreed (talk) 20:27, 15 December 2014 (UTC)

We don't get along? I didn't know that lol. Something new everyday. Parogar (talk) 20:28, 15 December 2014 (UTC)

Heads up: Your Anne Rice article has been nominated for deletion[edit]

Hi Parogar,

I thought I'd just give you a notice that your Anne Rice article has been nominated for deletion so you can make a case for why it should be kept. ScepticWombat (talk) 16:21, 3 January 2015 (UTC)

Your shiny new essay...[edit]

...is now at Essay:Rational Wiki and Feminism: Failures of Rational Thought. Heads up: its talk page should get real hot soon. :P PacWalker 16:48, 12 April 2015 (UTC)

I welcome all criticism and opposing viewpoints, but it has been my experience over the last year that, mostly, it will consist of being called an MRA, a Gamergator, someone with a "woman" problem, a vandal, someone with a conservative agenda, or someone trying to promote sexism. Parogar (talk) 16:50, 12 April 2015 (UTC)
I'm going to avoid that discussion myself, just because I get too worked up as is, but given facts as you've recited them, I do sympathize. PacWalker 16:55, 12 April 2015 (UTC)

Gamergate and /baphomet/[edit]

This doesn't belong on the part of the article you added it to. Also there's no real difference between the two.—Ryūlóng (琉竜) 07:01, 15 May 2015 (UTC)

Yes there is.Parogar (talk) 07:02, 15 May 2015 (UTC)
Please conduct yourself with a bit more integrity :)
Gamergate's targets get doxxed and harassed by baphomet. No functional difference. I saw your "disclosure" too and that's not going to give you much tbh.—Ryūlóng (琉竜) 07:03, 15 May 2015 (UTC)
I watched the raid go down in real time. GG is not Baph. Parogar (talk) 07:05, 15 May 2015 (UTC)
Irrelevant. Baph attacks "anti-GG" people. Don't go "third-party trolls" on me when y'all share the same house. Also, the paragraphs don't belong on the page. I don't care if you've made it your mission to say "Gamergate didn't do this". It's not necessary to say that /baph/ framed GG for leaking and calling Brianna Wu's cellphone on the page.—Ryūlóng (琉竜) 07:08, 15 May 2015 (UTC)
The groups are not the same. Your evidence is that they are both on the same website. Well, GG is also on Twitter and so is Anita Sarkeesian. Does that mean Sarkeesian is GamerGate? You are consummately dishonest and the only thing that fuels your assertions is raw hatred and bigotry against a group of people who've never wronged you except in the fact that they disagree with your opinions. That makes you a bigot. Parogar (talk) 07:17, 15 May 2015 (UTC)
No, that's not what I'm saying. I'm saying that because Gamergate has no official structure to collectively condemn /baphomet/'s actions that there is no point in separating the two of them in their means and end. There is no point in adding your stupid paragraph to the page saying "Gamergate didn't do this one particular thing". And really? I'm the bigot for not agreeing with a hate mob formed to perpetuate an abusive relationship that then decided to claim that they were about a corrupt enthusiast press when they really just hate threats to the status quo that being straight, white, and male is what video gaming should be about? Cry me a river.—Ryūlóng (琉竜) 07:32, 15 May 2015 (UTC)
Fine. Parogar (talk) 07:38, 15 May 2015 (UTC)
Also please don't waste everyone's time like all of the swamp Gators that came before you.—Ryūlóng (琉竜) 07:51, 15 May 2015 (UTC)

Learn to read. https://twitter.com/freebsdgirl/status/598501386590924800 is saying "Gamergate is only a small portion of the problem when it comes to abuse on Twitter" not "only 12% of Gamergate harasses".—Ryūlóng (琉竜) 08:58, 15 May 2015 (UTC)

Congratulations on going full gator.[edit]

Though you're a bit late to join. GG's days of 'glory' have ended a long time ago. Nevertheless it's hilarious to see you repeating ages old GG propaganda. Typhoon (talk) 07:56, 15 May 2015 (UTC)

Twitter[edit]

You're a real douchebag Kevin Weinberg.Ryūlóng (琉竜) 22:46, 29 July 2015 (UTC)

And don't go whining that "I've been doxxed" because you proudly identify yourself as Parogar and Kevin Weinberg on multiple websites.—Ryūlóng (琉竜) 22:47, 29 July 2015 (UTC)

Not to mention your reputation preceeds you.—Ryūlóng (琉竜) 22:49, 29 July 2015 (UTC)

Well, well, WELL. *notes* --Castaigne (talk) 23:03, 29 July 2015 (UTC)
Let's find another woman he harassed and threatened.—Ryūlóng (琉竜) 23:06, 29 July 2015 (UTC)
This is just so terribly entertaining. --Castaigne (talk) 23:10, 29 July 2015 (UTC)
And this just makes me agree with David Brin more about how removing anonymity neuters these people. --Castaigne (talk) 23:11, 29 July 2015 (UTC)
And that's not all. Holy shit bro, like how the hell have you been getting away with this shit for years, Kevin? And for what? Adoration from Anne Rice? Gamergate is perfect for you and your history of doxxing, threatening, and kowtowing to more important people. I'm glad you found the perfect hate mob to join seeing as being a STGRB bully wasn't good enough for you.—Ryūlóng (琉竜) 23:13, 29 July 2015 (UTC)
What's really so choice is to find out that GGer Parogar is one of the Stop The Goodreads Bullies crowd. It now all makes sense; Mr Sensitive Feels can't stand the criticism of bad reviews, unlike Scalzi. So he has to hulk out and talk shit about women on the internet in a wave of bravado. Fucking dolt. --Castaigne (talk) 23:14, 29 July 2015 (UTC)
While worshiping the ground Anne Rice farts on.—Ryūlóng (琉竜) 23:16, 29 July 2015 (UTC)
IT ISN'T DOX WHEN IT'S PUBLICLY AVAILABLE AFTER YOU POST UNDER YOUR REAL FUCKING NAME, DIPSHIT. It's not like you hid this shit. Man the fuck UP, bro. --Castaigne (talk) 23:17, 29 July 2015 (UTC)
And Dean Esmay, really? You hang out with the white supremacists over at AVFM? My non-suprise. Oh wait, Esmay is an ex-AVFMer - well, still white supreme, so there you go. --Castaigne (talk) 23:19, 29 July 2015 (UTC)
Ahem.—Ryūlóng (琉竜) 23:22, 29 July 2015 (UTC)
That would apparently be a YES. Ah, my evening entertainment is made. Pity he refuses to show up here. --Castaigne (talk) 23:24, 29 July 2015 (UTC)
He left forever because we wouldn't let him post realz over feelz.—Ryūlóng (琉竜) 23:25, 29 July 2015 (UTC)
Also it's not doxxing him here because he wrote under his real fucking name here.Ryūlóng (琉竜) 23:26, 29 July 2015 (UTC)

... Should we be doing this? FU22YC47P07470 (talk/stalk) 23:42, 29 July 2015 (UTC)

NO!
Especially not when a broad definition of doxxing is used to remove other edits (Parogar hasn't advertised his real name here) and we usually don't give a shit about what people do off-site, unless it involves doxxing or otherwise persecuting RW editors or goes into RationalWiki:Pissed at us. Parogar may be a butthurt douche (just read his LANCB message on the user page), but I hardly think that, for instance, Ryūlóng is in an ideal position to be throwing rocks: If we (justifiably) lambaste off-siters for badmouthing and otherwise abusing people online, we can't very well do the same to (former?) RW editors who've done a LANCB.
Not to mention that the fact that Parogar LANCBed almost a month ago and hasn't made an edit since (unless he's BoNing, hehehe) makes this look like pointless vindictiveness. So, he's a prick, great, but why does it require an entire section on his talk page when he has presumably left? Move on, for fuck's sake. ScepticWombat (talk) 13:28, 30 July 2015 (UTC)
Correction - Parogar has used his real name on RW. It's in the "essay" on feminism he wrote. --Castaigne (talk) 15:59, 30 July 2015 (UTC)
Don't bother me none. I just find it - as I said above - entertaining. --Castaigne (talk) 15:59, 30 July 2015 (UTC)
Coming into it after not really following this it is nice to have the other side shown and what he is saying is complete BS. It is nice to know, with more references than most articles, the person complaining about being doxxed/"harassed" is the one who doxxed himself and all the "harassment" is people reacting to him directly threatening people. Then him learning first hand how much bullies are cowards at heart while calling his mom to fight his battles for him. This would be sad for a 12 year old. -EmeraldCityWanderer (talk) 16:22, 30 July 2015 (UTC)
