Proposed template[edit]

Hi all,

I've been thinking that this category could really use its own template. Here is my proposed template:

Freedom from freethought
Atheophobia
[[File:Insert image here|100px|link=:category:{{{category}}}]]
Fighting the godless baby-eaters
Commie Hunters

B'P"9 21:03, 4 November 2018 (UTC)

I kinda doubt there's enough material here to warrant its own template. 141.134.75.236 (talk) 21:30, 4 November 2018 (UTC)
Are there any pages where this is prioritized over the existing navsidebar? --It's-a me, Lgm sigpic.png LeftyGreenMario! 22:46, 4 November 2018 (UTC)
@LeftyGreenMarioNo; this proposed navsidebar has not yet been used in any pages yet, and it doesn’t have its own template page yet. Even if it does get its own template page in the future, I think that it should be placed below the others on a page that we would use it on. And also, I have noticed that there actually are quite a few pages in the “Atheophobia” Category- I mean, we do have a corresponding navsidebar for “Islamophobia”. @BadPiggies 9 I also want a list of some articles where this template would supplant the existing navbars. I just want an idea of how widely you plan to use this. Pizza SLICE.gifChef Moosolini’s Ristorante ItalianoMake a Reservation 20:11, 8 November 2018 (UTC)
What pages do you imagine transcluding this on? It doesn't feel like a top choice on any of the pages in this category besides the atheophobia root page. ikanreed 🐐Bleat at me 21:30, 8 November 2018 (UTC)
@Ikanreed Iwant to start by adding this navsidebar to the following pages:

Atheophobia, Freedom From Atheism Foundation, God’s Not Dead, God’s Not Dead 2, Conservapedia, Ken Ham, Ray Comfort, Phyllis Schlafly, Andrew Schlafly, and pretty much every other major page in the “Atheophobia” category. BP9My experiments 22:32, 8 November 2018 (UTC)

Those mostly have better suited navs for them. Conservapedia hates a lot of things, and have their own primary nav. Ham and Comfort are creationists first and formost. Mommy Schlafly is most notable as an antifeminist, and barely cared about atheism at all in her career. I guess I can see the movies though. ikanreed 🐐Bleat at me 22:45, 8 November 2018 (UTC)
@Ikanreed Yes, I see what you’re saying... I was thinking of using the navsidebar on all articles in the “Atheophobia” category where the topic primarily focuses on how evil irreligious people are, e.g. the movies and the FFAF. Also, we’ll definitely have to come up with some kind of icon for the navsidebar... Any suggestions? And also, I was thinking that maybe we should also change it’s color scheme, as it’s existing one is already in use by The navsidebar for the “Atheism” category. If you have any ideas, I’m all ears. BP9My experiments 23:13, 8 November 2018 (UTC)
I'd change the color to maroon perhaps. Pizza SLICE.gifChef Moosolini’s Ristorante ItalianoMake a Reservation 23:17, 8 November 2018 (UTC)
Do you have a list of articles you plan to create? Ikanreed is right that there aren't too many articles that don't already have better navbars. I think you should hold off on creating this until you have 8-12 or so articles on which it would be appropriate to use. That being said, I approve of the concept. @BadPiggies 9 If you aren't already planning on it, I'll create an icon for the navbar once we're later in the planning process. Pizza SLICE.gifChef Moosolini’s Ristorante ItalianoMake a Reservation 23:20, 8 November 2018 (UTC)
Also possible is instead of a navbar, we add a subsection of the atheism navbox for "haters and trolls" or some similarly dismissive name and pluck random entries from this category. ikanreed 🐐Bleat at me 02:32, 9 November 2018 (UTC)
Are there any other groups, websites, or people like the Freedom From Atheism Foundation that are article worthy? TheEOE (talk) 19:48, 11 November 2018 (UTC)
@BadPiggies 9 Any other websites like the FFAF that you think is article worthy? If you can find some more, then maybe we can have this template. TheEOE (talk) 20:53, 22 November 2018 (UTC)
@TheEOE Red Pill Religion. Watch meCircularREmail2.gifasoningMy experiments 04:16, 24 November 2018 (UTC)
@BadPiggies 9 Dear Lord, that guy. Okay. TheEOE (talk) 05:18, 24 November 2018 (UTC)
@TheEOE Exactly. Perfectly serious references to Conservapedia and FFAF included! LOL, definitely missional! Let’s get to work. Watch meCircularREmail2.gifasoningMy experiments 19:31, 25 November 2018 (UTC)
@TheEOE UPDATE: I have just started the article on RPR. It could still use some improvement though, so feel free to contribute and add more information. Watch meCircularREmail2.gifasoningMy experiments 19:31, 25 November 2018 (UTC)

──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────── @BadPiggies 9 I helped add on to the article. Adding information about the founder, their relations with Conservapedia, and their YouTube channel. But what's next on the list? TheEOE (talk) 21:30, 25 November 2018 (UTC)

@TheEOE
  • Deflating Atheism- A YouTube troll.
  • The Atheist Delusion- A “documentary” that was probably made in response to The God Delusion by Richard Dawkins.
  • The New Atheist Threat- A paranoid book about the evils of the so-called “New Atheism

@BadPiggies 9 I'm working on reviving the article Frank Turek. A Christian apologist who wrote a book and hosts a show called I Don't Have Enough Faith to be an Atheist. Also has a (YouTube channel).
Ah yes. Deflating Atheism. Max Kolbe's right hand man. TheEOE (talk) 01:23, 26 November 2018 (UTC)
@TheEOE Good, good. I looked in the deletion notice for Frank Turek’s article, and found that it was taken down because of an onslaught of unfunny vandalism. Time to Make That Article Great Again! :) Watch meCircularREmail2.gifasoningMy experiments 01:27, 26 November 2018 (UTC)
@TheEOE I've just made a few improvements to the newly-recreated Frank Turek article. Next up: his books. Watch meCircularREmail2.gifasoningMy experiments 02:24, 27 November 2018 (UTC)
@BadPiggies 9 Thank you. I'll continue adding on to it and the other articles, like Red Pill Religion. TheEOE (talk) 02:33, 27 November 2018 (UTC)
