New articles about Robert Charroux's works[edit]
Hello,
I've recently bought a bulk of used books, two of them being the works of pseudohistorian Robert Charroux : "Le Livre des Secrets trahis" (1969) and "Le Livre des Mondes oubliés" (1971), another from Pauwels and Bergier "Le matin des Magiciens" (1960). Both Charroux's and Bergier's works are a toxic broth of ignorance, pseudohistory, conspiracy theory and shoehorning.
Since I have these books at hand and plenty of time, I think it could be useful to write some refutations to deconstruct those fallacious arguments. Is it ok to put those refutations as articles ?
Also, altough the books are in French, I could easily translate the main ideas in English. Is it ok to write an English refutation, or must it be in French for the sake of exactness ?

- Really, the question is, how important or influential are those books? There are millions of books about pseudoscience. We can't have pages about all of them and we shouldn't have pages about ones that aren't really notable. But we should have pages about the most famous, important and influential ones. Still, the best thing to do would be to create the pages you want to create as drafts first. Afterwards, they can be moved to main space or essay space or wherever they belong. And currently, the feeling from most of the community seems to be that we should only have pages in other languages that are translations of pages that we already have in English. So really the best thing to do would be to create any new pages in English. You can always translate your own work into French and create a French version of the page afterwards. - I think Robert Charroux has been quite influential - he predates von Däniken and was seen as one of Däniken's sources, along with "The Morning of the Magicians" (which predates both), so I think it could be interesting to shed light on some of his works. I will start a draft and we would see if they're worth keeping. Thanks for you answer GleoLenzic (talk) 14:48, 28 May 2019 (UTC)
