If mainspace content isn't to your liking, you're welcome to edit it. This is a wiki. People write about what interests them. Obviously there will be unaddressed concerns as a result--Hastur! (talk) 05:52, 21 July 2020 (UTC)

Yes, you're right of course... I'm used to viewing wikis as something to learn from, not something to teach with. Outside of very minor edits to Wikipedia and Memory Alpha, learning how to use the basics of the Saloon Bar was the only other wiki editing I've done. It's not what I would call intuitive. But I'm learning. Glitch (talk) 06:42, 21 July 2020 (UTC)

Autopatrolled[edit]

Because of your edits to and time on the wiki, Autopatrolled has been added to your user rights. This lets you bypass most of the abuse filters, bypass the CAPTCHA, and edit more frequently. If you have questions, bleat ask away.

We hope you enjoy your newfound POWER — and these external tools:

  • Google Scholar Button (Chrome, Firefox) searches your highlighted text in Google Scholar. Easily check academic citations!
  • web.archive.org and archive.is can save permanent copies of webpages. Never lose a crank website or racist Tweet ever again!

Discord[edit]

You on there? My Discord ID is Oxyaena#2207. Oxyaena Harass 21:23, 24 July 2020 (UTC)

Indeed! I'm tenketsu#9500. I tried to add you but it said you weren't accepting requests. Glitch (talk) 21:32, 24 July 2020 (UTC)

I think you're right about the inevitability of revolution[edit]

Since this is a separate subject from the right wing piece of shit no one should be voting for, I thought I'd talk to you about it. The fact that it's going to be a slaughter doesn't matter much when we're creating people with nothing to lose and no hope for reform by the millions. We're on a course off a cliff and the questions seem to limit themselves to "do we coast off or slam the accelerator?" ikanreed 🐐Bleat at me 19:14, 30 July 2020 (UTC)

Hi there! Thanks for coming by. I think that there is definitely potential value in delaying the revolution, so as to better control the character of it, assuming we can do that. I dearly want something positive to come out of it, and history is replete with revolutions that went wrong in some way, either failing in their aims or having those aims hijacked and becoming something even worse than what they replaced. That's one reason I believe in the mission here so strongly, because I believe our best chance at a truly good outcome is to help people think better, more clearly. But I'm late to the game, and my reach is limited. It's possible that the character of the coming revolution will only get worse if delayed, or at least no better. In that case I can only do what is in my ability to do, and hope for the best. Glitch (talk) 19:29, 30 July 2020 (UTC)

Threads[edit]

Just noticed your comment on Nebuchanezzar's page. We haven't used threads for many a year now and they're only still here 'cause they preserve the old ones. (I've not linked to the thread because I don't even remember how to. :-)) Scream!! (talk) 00:50, 3 August 2020 (UTC)

Is there a better way I should try to get in contact with them? Glitch (talk) 01:46, 3 August 2020 (UTC)
Try this[1] Not sure how I would feel about being contacted about content from a site I haven't been active on for years, though--Hastur! (talk) 01:51, 3 August 2020 (UTC)
Oh, if they haven't been active for years then I don't want to bother them. I couldn't figure out how to tell if they were still active at all behind the scenes. How would I do that? Glitch (talk) 02:10, 3 August 2020 (UTC)
To answer your question from six days ago. Simple. Just go to a user page and click on User contributions. Assuming that you're using RationalWiki's default Vector skin and not some other weird one, you'll find User contributions as the third thing under Tools in the left sidebar. You'll see that Nebuchadnezzar last edited here on 23 May 2015 and KnightOfTL;DR last edited here on 15 August 2014. You can see everything the user has ever done. There's nothing hidden. Thank you! Glitch (talk) 17:36, 16 August 2020 (UTC)
You're welcome. It's just occurred to me that, technically, it would be possible for somebody to stop editing but keep deleting pages, blocking and unblocking people. That wouldn't show up in User contributions. But it would be extremely unlikely that someone would keep doing that but not edit anymore. Spud (talk) 00:43, 17 August 2020 (UTC)
