CarlSaganFan[edit]
Here we have a single-issue editor who only seems to show up once every few months to promote apologia and whitewashing for eugenics. This user has been warned over this before and I have taken the liberty of putting them in the vandal bin, but since this user has been doing this for years, I don't think vandal binning alone will solve this problem and there needs to be a firmer line drawn in the sand. I support a topic ban from eugenics, as this user clearly can't leave this topic alone despite being told to stop. Plutocow (talk) 05:44, 23 February 2023 (UTC)
- Perhaps it's not worth the effort given that CarlSaganFan's edits are few and infrequent. Bongolian (talk) 04:32, 24 February 2023 (UTC)
- How do topic bans work again? And how are they enforced? --Luigifan18 (talk) 04:33, 24 February 2023 (UTC)
- There is no automatic way to enforce them. Someone has to remember that one exists. They can be found here: RationalWiki:Active sanctions#Topic bans. Bongolian (talk) 04:59, 24 February 2023 (UTC)
- I see 14 edits in about a year and a half. I'm not sure that a coop case is really worth the effort.Bob"Life is short and (insert adjective)" 09:23, 24 February 2023 (UTC)
- As usual, Bob is right. With such an infrequent editor, it really isn't worthwhile doing anything. If they were to become a frequent editor, that would be a different matter. For now, rollback their edits and hopefully they'll see their changes aren't sticking and piss off. Spud (talk) 10:13, 24 February 2023 (UTC)
- I'll have to agree. If CSF starts posting more frequently nothing stops us from having this discussion again.-Flandres (talk) 16:13, 24 February 2023 (UTC)
- I think the vandal bin is enough for now. GeeJayKWhere all evil dwells Where every lie is true 20:12, 24 February 2023 (UTC)
- I concur. (Noting for the record that I did not scramble my mobile account password, just in case I wish to return. I do not wish to return right now, however.) --Andrew5 mobile (talk) 01:18, 25 February 2023 (UTC)
