We're losing the Ataturk AFD vote. Could you try to get D or someone in to vote. Mustafa might stay if we lose.Summa Atheologica (talk) 16:59, 4 December 2019 (UTC)
Edit war
I'm frustrated. I don't have to tell you how to deal with edit wars again. Stop edit warring in Xi Jinping's page, forget about Jaydogg1994's politics for a moment, and focus on supporting your claim that " dengism isn't communism". Jaydogg1994 has explicitly asked you to go to the talk page and supported edits by at least citing something (Wikipedia), which you promptly ignored. --It's-a me, LeftyGreenMario! 01:56, 5 December 2019 (UTC)
- Claiming dengism isn't communism is a example of the No True Scotsman fallacy. Jaydogg1994 (talk) 01:37, 6 December 2019 (UTC)
- I don't think it's a case of "No True Scotsman", I really think Oxyaena is trying to argue that it's technically not Communism because it incorporates too many non Communistic elements (assuming capitalism is mutually exclusive to communism) to be Communism. That's how I understood that. --It's-a me, LeftyGreenMario! 02:45, 6 December 2019 (UTC)

Just dropped by to chat
I see you restored the rape case section that I removed from the CNN article. I don't object to it's presence and I'm happy to leave it. Let me say I have not seen the video but was suspicious of Melody's edit, so I may be really wrong about my ideas. My feeling was it looked insufficient as a criticism section. In other words if this is the only example of such a thing, it would appear the grounds for general criticism of CNN are dubious. My thinking is, it is an odd single event criticism of a network: too much sympathy for a perpetrator. It is a peculiar case, and as such makes a bad example. What I mean is CNN was criticized for being sympathetic to a teenager who committed a crime instead of showing sympathy for the child who was the victim. This particular complaint seems weak because laws prevent identification of the victim, and rightly so. How does one show sympathy for a generic character in a news story? The humiliation of the family of the perpetrator is a socially useful story motive. That CNN came off as too sympathetic is a failure, but more of a literary failure than a moral failure. I imagine the family of the rapist was not happy to see their miserable story told.
I would ask you to return to the fold, but you have not really left yet.Ariel31459 (talk) 15:46, 9 December 2019 (UTC)
Political views
So on the Saloon, you recommended people read Proudhon's What Is Property. I'd like to ask whether or not you consider yourself to be a mutualist? RationalHindu (talk) 23:51, 9 December 2019 (UTC)
- I`m an anarcho-communist, but I don't reject mutualist ideas per se. — Oxyaena Harass 06:23, 10 December 2019 (UTC)
- @ Oxyaena What do you see as being the road to an anarcho-communist society? Do you believe it is something attainable or just an ideal? MirrorIrorriM (talk) 14:01, 25 January 2020 (UTC)

On the subject of talk page trolling
It is not acceptable to completely remove (as opposed to simply collapse) anything that contains a legitimate comment. Once I replied to Morris's statement, that immunized the thread from being removed. Don't remove legitimate comments from anywhere.Summa Atheologica (talk) 16:53, 16 December 2019 (UTC)
Statism
Hi, Oxy. I was just wondering how you reconcile your statement, "'Territorial integrity' is oppressive statist bullshit and leads to circumstances like what's going on in East Turkestan and Hong Kong." (RationalWiki:Saloon bar/Archive335#Croatian-Serbian Border Dispute and the micronation of Liberland) with your belief that healthcare is a right. Doesn't universal healthcare require statism to enforce it? Bongolian (talk) 21:10, 27 December 2019 (UTC)
- Because people are suffering from lack of healthcare, so while I believe cooperative universal healthcare is preferable to statist universal healthcare, no universal healthcare is just evil, I`m in favor of anything that results in an improvement of living standards, hence why "libertarian socialist" is probably a better descriptor for my beliefs, the two (ancom and universal healthcare) aren't mutually exclusive. — Oxyaena Harass 12:10, 28 December 2019 (UTC)
- I see your point, but I don't see how universal healthcare with modern evidence-based medicine is feasible in a cooperative system. I think that the complexities and expenses of evidence-based medicine are too great for a cooperative system to bear the costs universality of treatment. Also, it seems that your main beef with statism with regard to China is in the form of its irredentism. Bongolian (talk) 17:31, 28 December 2019 (UTC)
- The CCP are a menace, and their evils are legion, I was just using them as an example. I`m also an anarcho-transhumanist, so I believe that if we get automation in the up and up we'll no longer need any sort of bureaucratic apparatus to manage health care. — Oxyaena Harass 18:01, 28 December 2019 (UTC)

Kept planning on seeing the Squirrel Nut Zippers live - will not
Now I've only got a chance at a front row seat for $108. But every time it hit my radar I was like "I should get a ticket." Sorry I didn't get a second or third row seat. Usually with a concert, if I'm in the front row I've paid the same 15 bucks and navigated myself there via Bruce Lee level fluidity, and I don't tend to stay front row for long. I just don't even have an outfit for the venue, let alone would I want to sit quietly and clap during a swing/hot jazz show, what an awful venue.
I did stop and think "but Oxy loves the Zippers too" and it's because they are very good, so I'm here to share my disappointment in myself. I won't make it to the show. Despite my reasons, I will not attend the show and that is lame of me. Gol Sarnitt (talk) 03:37, 30 January 2020 (UTC)
- An old song I never finished went "Everybody's going to the party, everybody's going to the show/ Everyone is saying they'll meet me there, I don't know why I can't go alone." and it's thumping in my head again after this admission. Gol Sarnitt (talk) 03:54, 30 January 2020 (UTC)

[1] Why did you add me to the auto patrolled group? I didn't make any permission requests. Is this a bot or something? Dino ((contribs)) 23:47, 14 February 2020 (UTC)

Ataturk wandalism?
BoN 46.233.77.165 deleted the sentence "Atatürk was personally responsible for consummating the Armenian Genocide that had been started by the Ottomans before him". They didn't do anything else, so I can't tell whether it's a legitimate fact-check or a bit of whitewashing. JFYI. — Unsigned, by: Dave Wise 2 / talk / contribs

Hey Oxy …
What maxes you think that I'm an enabler? I've had plenty of tussles with HBC (and his other handles) in the past but I think in this case he's entitled to the snark that he snarked. I don't agree with his sentiment but for god's sake it's very mild compared with what's happened in days of yore. I would love to see Sanders elected but if he were the Dem nominee I'm afraid Trump would prolly win. I'm quite lefty for a Brit which means that I'd be almost communist in the US. Scream!! Archiving active section in the saloon bar by mistake or deliberately? And where did it and all the rest end up?
Hiya Oxy. I just popped in on your talk page to check whether you archived the big chunk of the saloon bar today to cut out the “And now for something that has nothing to do with COVID-19” section to limit the Argumentum ad Hitlerum that the numbers contributor seem so fond of or if it was just a fluke. Also, I can’t seem to find any of the many sections you removed in the barchives? Is there some technical glitch? Did you just forget to paste it to the barchive still? Or is there simply a lag when archiving from the saloon bar? Or is it something else entirely? I’m really just wondering what happened and if something got lost in translation somewhere along the way(?) ScepticWombat (talk) 14:19, 30 March 2020 (UTC)

Apology
I apologize for my proposal in the Coop. I was getting sick of the fighting going on in the Saloon all the time, and it looked like you were heavily involved. I was hasty, and my proposal was disproportionate. I'm sorry that I caused you any amount of grief, and I agree that you are extremely valuable to the wiki.
