Curfew[edit]

Dont they turn this place off at 9:30 pm?

Nope! All night long you can edit/wandalize! Researcher 21:16, 5 December 2007 (EST)
That's shocking. how are we good Christian homeschooled kids supposed to get enough sleep to be ready for Andy's class on homosexuality and intelligent design tomorrow?
Moreover, with a world wide base, how could you justify a particular time as 9:30? 9:30 EST is not the same as 9:30 GMT. Researcher 21:19, 5 December 2007 (EST)
But we can block you if you want - just ask. Susanpurrrrr ... 21:20, 5 December 2007 (EST)
What is GMT, is that a liberal deceit thing like BCE?
Greenwich Mean Time, the time that all other times are based on. Researcher 21:26, 5 December 2007 (EST)

GMT is a LYING time. God created the world on American East Coast (New Jersey) time. Any timezone that isn't EST is deviant and immoral. DogP 21:29, 5 December 2007 (EST)

but GMT must be right: it's the time in the best place in the World: Yorkshire!

User:SusanG, 21:42, 5 December 2007 (EST)

Oh, I know now. GMT. Grinch Mean Time. It's part of the liberals War on Christmas. Secret SquirrelLivesforpullingyourleg 07:56, 6 December 2007 (EST) Andy told me this. He also told me I would be in for a really long spanking today if i dont get off the computer NOW and get to his homeschool for today's lesson on intelligent design and young earth creation. Secret SquirrelLivesforpullingyourleg 07:57, 6 December 2007 (EST)

You should move this to your user page or a subpage, it's weird here in the middle of your talk page. By the way, sorry to see your beloved Giants got pwned by the Beantown Gang. humanUser talk:Human 03:02, 30 December 2007 (EST)
Done. Tis ok, the Giants aren't my usual favorite team, that would be the Steelers, but I cheer whoever is playing against the hated Pats. Secret Squirrel 04:44, 30 December 2007 (EST)

Church[edit]

Well folks, I'm off to church. Andy asked me to ask you if any of you have any prayer requests. We will be praying for each and every one of you to see the light and accept Mike Huckabee as the one true leader of the Free World, and for God to pour out His righteous punishment on filthy sodomites and Islamofascists. You really should consider shutting down editing every Sunday morning so more people will go to church. TTFN, Secret Squirrel 09:22, 9 December 2007 (EST)

Radioactive afikomen, test pimp[edit]

Saaaaaaaaaaay, Secret Squirrel... you haven't taken the test yet have you? Why not join in the fun. You can find out if you're as morally depraved as the rest of us :) --Star of David.png Radioactive afikomen Please ignore all my awful pre-2014 comments. 17:31, 16 January 2008 (EST)

"YOUR SCORE
"Your scored 0 on Moral Order and -2.5 on Moral Rules.
"The following categories best match your score (multiple responses are possible):
  1. System: Conservatism, Liberalism
  2. Ideology: Capital Republicanism, Capital Democratism
  3. Party: Republican Party, Democratic Party
  4. Presidents: Gerald Ford
  5. 04' Election: John Kerry
  6. 08' Election: Rudy Giuliani

Sounds about right since I'm in the big mushy morally depraved middle and have a snarky contempt for True Believers on both ends of the spectrum. And they got my choice in '04 right, but Rudy Giuliani??! No way. He's the closest thing to a real live Fascist to come along in U.S. politics in a long time. I am solidly Undecided for '08, as long as it's not Giuliani. Also, Gerald Ford? Naah, Harry Truman and Theodore Roosevelt are more like it. Secret Squirrel 17:48, 16 January 2008 (EST)

Nothing beyond once having a subscription to "The Plain Truth" back when I was young and naive (subscriptions were free y'know). I'm pretty well up on most of the televangelism scene, which I decided sometime in the late 1980s was patently ridiculous but continued to follow what was going on. "mission"[edit]

When placing the template, be sure to start a discussion on the talk page saying why you think an article should be deleted or moved. Otherwise, it's easy and lazy for anyone to go around tagging a bunch of articles and making a mess of the site. Best to focus on a small number at a time and pay attention to them.

If you want to go on a cleanup binge, it might be even better to discuss at talk:main, so we can all hash out what the criteria are (I had to fight like hell to keep the US State srticles in main, and you seem to enjoy them... keep that in mind). humanUser talk:Human 20:06, 17 March 2008 (EDT)

Maybe the best place to discuss all this is at Project_Whitewash, where you can sign yourself up while you're at it. DogP 20:07, 17 March 2008 (EDT)

Please not to be killing all our lulz. It's part of our heritage. :-( --AKjeldsenGodspeed! 20:11, 17 March 2008 (EDT)

Lulz must in Fun: go now!! Secret Squirrel 20:15, 17 March 2008 (EDT)
SS, please attend to one article at a time. Please discuss on the talk page. You just created 20 discussions without contributing to any (PS, I'm gonna grind that "mission" template under my heel since it encourages this lazy drive-by templating...) I'm sure there were some that could be moved or killed, but let's discuss them one at a time. humanUser talk:Human 20:17, 17 March 2008 (EDT)

teh obligatory break[edit]

I hope you archived all that stuff you removed... it's considered RW policy. The {{talkpage}} template helps make it easy. humanUser talk:Human 22:05, 17 March 2008 (EDT)

ZOMG! Someone used my template. And as Human said above, we don't allow discussions to float off into the ether (whatever that means), so get on archiving or you'll be gangblocked (whatever that means). ThunderkatzHo! 22:30, 17 March 2008 (EDT)
That's odd, then. Bohdan repeatedly "archived" his talk page, even explicitly stating he was archiving... and then never made an archive page. It was only just recently that I got fed up and combed through his talk pages history, making archives where he didn't. Yet, I didn't see you swoop down on him when he failed to do so. --Star of David.png Radioactive afikomen Please ignore all my awful pre-2014 comments. 22:44, 17 March 2008 (EDT)
Bohdan is the required exception to the rule. Nobody ever said anything sensible on his talk page anyway, especially him. humanUser talk:Human 22:49, 17 March 2008 (EDT)
Careful, or I'll tell Hans Johnson that you have double standards! :P --Star of David.png Radioactive afikomen Please ignore all my awful pre-2014 comments. 22:56, 17 March 2008 (EDT)

Hey Seekrit - what's up? Why the mad dash to remove lots of good stuff, including much good work you'd done yourself? DogP 12:09, 18 March 2008 (EDT)

He's been threatened with being blocked for removing stuff from his talk page without archiving it.Barbara Shack 12:13, 18 March 2008 (EDT)

Where? I asked him to archive it, above, but there was no threat of a block that I can see. humanUser talk:Human 13:27, 18 March 2008 (EDT)
Actually, I did (jokingly) threaten that the sysops would "gangblock" him, though I'm not really sure how that would be accomplished (we all take turns blocking and unblocking?). ThunderkatzHo! 20:34, 18 March 2008 (EDT)
Ah, ok, I glossed right over that as I thought it was a "joke". humanUser talk:Human 20:59, 18 March 2008 (EDT)

What is this "Wikipedia"? Never heard of it. Is it anything like Conservapedia? Secret Squirrel 21:40, 24 August 2008 (EDT)
Exactly like it, only with a terrible liberal, anti-American, anti-Christian bias. Not neutral to the truth like CP. ħumanUser talk:Human 22:48, 24 August 2008 (EDT)

Last I checked, libertarians do not as a rule support labor unions, stronger minimum wage laws, living wage ordinances, trade restrictions, import tariffs, limits on CEO salaries and bonuses, or making it illegal to move jobs overseas. But whatever. Secret Squirrel 10:41, 26 September 2008 (EDT)

Moonies[edit]

Wouldn't it have been better to have "Unification Church" as the category?

Oops...BAD skwirl. :) We can go ahead and move the category - I won't mind. Thought it would be appropriately snarky. Secret Squirrel 09:01, 30 October 2008 (EDT)
See you've already deleted it. (You can't "move" categoties) It was just that some things didn't actually fit as moonies - you can't call a newspaper (sic) a moonie. and butter 09:15, 30 October 2008 (EDT)
Ah, okay ;) There was this great photo opportunity I saw recently, Scientology and the Lyndon LaRouche group were both tabling at the same Washington D.C. metro station at the same time. And what newspaper box was right next to the two tables? Heh. Should have snapped a photo. All we needed was that woman who sometimes peddled The Watchtower and Awake! at the same metro and it would have been perfect. Secret Squirrel 09:19, 30 October 2008 (EDT)

Dragons[edit]

You know much about therianthropy, but are obviously not one. What gives? --"CURtalk 11:14, 15 February 2009 (EST)
I know a lot about Scientology too, and televangelists, and alternative health quackery - I wrote much of RW's content on those topics - but are obviously not any of those either. Let's just say squirrels gather a lot of nuts and engage in scatter-hoarding behavior. Secret Squirrel 11:27, 15 February 2009 (EST)
Yes, but why would you have gone to howls? Why specifically annoy a bunch of fringe crazies? Time wisest Phantom! 11:30, 15 February 2009 (EST)
*groan* We aren't fringe crazies, for the last time. --"CURtalk 11:32, 15 February 2009 (EST)
If you have reputation as a dyed-in-the wool rationalist, what must the rest be like? You have given no justification other than "I do some stuff that's a bit like what a cheetah does". Time wisest Phantom! 11:34, 15 February 2009 (EST)
Some have unusual beliefs- that does not mean that they are crazy. Others do not have unusual beliefs. Someone not being a rationalist does not mean that they are crazy. Do not be a zealot. --"CURtalk 11:35, 15 February 2009 (EST)
I don't want to get in another war with you, but I still think it was justified. Time wisest Phantom! 11:36, 15 February 2009 (EST)
(EC)There is no question some are. . . weird. For example, one person is a member of Voluntary Human Extinction. But it is not my place to tell people what to believe- unless they are trying to force their beliefs on others. But therians are a varied group. Some of us can only be described as New Age-y oddballs. Some are hardline Republicans. Some are indentical to most other people. What can I say? --"CURtalk 11:41, 15 February 2009 (EST)
I would consider several things that you have said to be "crazy", particularly the stuff on starfish being sentient, but you are free to think them, and as therianism seems, on the whole, to be somewhat irrational, I think saying that the sort who would go to howls would be crazier than normal. Time wisest Phantom! 11:45, 15 February 2009 (EST)
The way I see it, someone has no right to tell others what to believe, assuming:
  • They do not claim that a religious belief is science.
  • They are not trying to force it on others.

That doesn't mean we don't comment- but we don't tell a specific person what to believe. Does that make any sense? --"CURtalk 13:10, 15 February 2009 (EST)

(UNDENT)someone has no right to tell others what to believe Bullshit. Say I believe in a flat Earth, or Santa Claus. Say hate the Jews. Or the blacks. Or I believe women should not have the right to vote and should undergo FGM. Are my beliefs "right"? Do people not have the right--nay the obligation--to tell me that I can't function in society while holding those beliefs? TheoryOfPractice 13:14, 15 February 2009 (EST)

TOP, you know perfectly well what I mean. At least, one would certainly hope so. I was talking about religious or spiritual beliefs, not rascism or anti-Semitism. As for a flat Earth, if they claim their belief is backed up by science, then yes, we should challenge it. Otherwise, we have better things to do then argue with that particular person. As for Santa Claus, I see no reason to engage in that argument, either. --"CURtalk 13:19, 15 February 2009 (EST)

Back on topic, Secret Squirrel still hasn't answered the question, and I am getting suspicious. I might inquire around at some places that would know. --"CURtalk 13:13, 15 February 2009 (EST)
