—Sneako, making total sense on lgbt rights in Muslim countries.[citation needed] |
Nicolas "Nico" Kenn de Balinthazy, commonly known as Sneako, is a right-wing internet personality. He was initially known for his videos, which were typical internet videos with decent commentary on a wide variety of subjects. However, as the years passed, he became increasingly politically oriented and supported far-right and red pill views.[1] He also became a lackey of the Tate brothers (much like his friend, Adin Ross).
Sneako has become a cautionary tale of how Internet personalities can gain prominence but become insane later on. After his red pill phase, Sneako has become a common figure in the online far-right movement, associating himself with different far-right groups like the alt-right and the manosphere.
Backstory[edit]
Sneako began his online life as a somewhat well known and respected commentator, giving his thoughts on whatever issue he felt like discussing, usually from a video game backdrop. He began his career as a teenager, who had surprisingly mature, honest, and nuanced takes on anything he talked about (such as race, politics, religion, and more). Unfortunately, all this wisdom and nuance would disappear as Sneako got older, he began taking the hard right route.
Downfall[edit]
Sneako’s downfall began sometime after he witnessed his girlfriend cheating on him with another man. This event is speculated to have caused Sneako to become mentally unstable, leading him to subscribe to fascism and other far-right ideologies prior to his redpill phase.
Sneako was banned on most social media sites, such as YouTube. However, Sneako still has accounts on a few sites where he has a significant social following.[2]
Reactionary views[edit]
Sneako opposes feminism, LGBT rights, racial justice, and any other form of social justice as he sees “wokeness” as “anti-western degeneracy”. He views religion (particularly Islam) as a bulwark against these ideologies because many Muslims hold rightist and conservative views, which explains why he and his allies support Islamist terrorist groups such as the Taliban.[3]
Hype man for the Tate brothers[edit]
Since 2022, Sneako has associated himself as part of Andrew Tate’s following, and has attempted to mimic Tate’s mannerisms and fame by adopting several of his tactics (misogyny, anti-intellectualism, homophobia).
Friendship with Fuentes[edit]
One of Sneako's most infamous fascist friends is Nick Fuentes, with whom he's had several conversations regarding Jews, African Americans, and women, among other subjects. Sneako has praised Fuentes as being a leading figure for his red pill rabbit hole and conversion to neo-Nazism.
Like Fuentes, Sneako is a pseudoreligious fascist/neo-Nazi, misogynist, and obsessive homophobe. Despite being half Black himself, he agrees and even sympathizes with Fuentes on race issues including his views on Black Americans. He platformed Fuentes on Twitch and discussed race, gender, and nationalism with him.
Defending Hitler[edit]
In an online debate with Adin Ross (who is Jewish) and DJ Akademiks (who is Jamaican of African descent), Sneako was debating Black and White morality when the conversation reached a weird point after Sneako brought up Hitler. When asked if he thought Hitler was evil, Sneako repeatedly deflected, greatly upsetting Ross to the point he left the debate in a fit of rage from Sneako's stupidity.[4]
Support for Putin[edit]
Sneako has stated on several occasions that he supports Russia, Putin, and the Russian invasion of Ukraine. In a video with him chatting with JustPearlyThings, Sneako was asked what his foreign policy view was by Pear, and he stated “I am pro-Putin”, and then went on to say that wars that America began in Vietnam and Iraq were similar to the war in Ukraine, and that America should stay out of any and all wars.[5]
Sneako’s rationale for his politics positions is that supporting Ukraine is groupthink and in a podcast stated that NATO built military bases near the Russian border (which is not true). He also claimed that missiles were stationed near the Russian border, and were meant to provoke Putin. Apparently, he seems to have failed to calculate that Putin’s aggression actually added two NATO members after the invasion (Sweden and Finland).[6]
Conversion to Islam[edit]
On February 23rd 2023, Sneako announced on Twitter that he converted to Islam.[7] Despite engaging in Islamophobic stereotypes several months prior, many Muslims online reacted positively to his conversion and claimed that “Allah” guided Sneako.
