Are you[edit]

wp:User:Lavalizard101, who recently got unblocked on Wikipedia? --Gale5050 (talk) 00:22, 23 May 2021 (UTC)

Yes I am. Lavalizard101 (talk) 01:35, 23 May 2021 (UTC)

Thank you[edit]

Thank you for giving my autopatrolled, but since I'm not sure what reaction my latest edits will get, I've rolled them back. Are you able to advise me which of today's edits can be allowed to stand please? Thanks. --William on Discs (talk) 19:56, 14 October 2023 (UTC)

They both look fine to me. Lavalizard101 (talk) 20:03, 14 October 2023 (UTC)
Thank you once again, I've restored them. --William on Discs (talk) 20:06, 14 October 2023 (UTC)

Draft:Swimming naked in school[edit]

Hi there, I noticed this draft article in NPP, and I'd like to ask if this is a missional topic? I don't see how it's on mission, it's about the history of school PE, which isn't something that is related to this wiki, given that it focuses mostly on covering the sciences and in particular exposing cranks and conmen. Thanks. --William on Discs (talk) 20:31, 14 October 2023 (UTC)

Yeah it was off-mission I've deleted it now. Lavalizard101 (talk) 20:35, 14 October 2023 (UTC)
FYI, we don't like putting links in headers. We have Template:Main for section-defining links. --Luigifan18 (talk) 20:20, 18 February 2024 (UTC)

We may owe ObserverOfTruth an apology.[edit]

Hey, I noticed that you blocked a new user named ObserverOfTruth on… somewhat shaky reasoning, and @Rairyu75 unblocked them while telling you off. While I get where you were coming from (Badger's Law being a thing and all), I have to agree with Rairyu. When I still had my mop, I was told off a few times for preemptively blocking users on flimsy suspicions. That sort of thing could scare off potential good-faith editors. Now, I was going to put a remark on ObserverOfTruth's talk page explaining all this and apologizing for the frosty welcome, but I'm not entirely sure how well that would go. What do you think? --Luigifan18 (talk) 20:24, 18 February 2024 (UTC)

They haven't done anything, you don't need to do that. You've gotten in trouble for posting misleading things on new user's talkpages, so you should know better. As for Lavalizard,

You've been whacked with a wet trout.

Don't take this too seriously. Somebody just wants to let you know you did something silly.

Greetings, Lavalizard101.[edit]

Might I ask you to go a bit easier on the 𝝅 x infinity blocks? As per the RationalWiki:Blocking policy "Whitewashing pages" only warrants a short term block. Thank you. - Rairyu75 (Talk) 13:15, 19 February 2024 (UTC)

Simon Webb[edit]

That random user's acts of vandalism on Simon Webb's article are linked to Webb's video responding to his own article on this site: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1WEoey2LFMk&t=131s DaRealPrinceZuko (talk) 22:54, 5 March 2024 (UTC)

Why did you delete my Draft page on Brian Roemmele?[edit]

It was far from complete. — Unsigned, by: Nysus / talk / contribs

From the search I performed Brian Roemmele was at best just a run of the mill crank. We do not have articles on every run of the mill crank. That and the draft was semi-advertorial "Are you in search of ... look no further". Lavalizard101 (talk) 10:41, 27 May 2024 (UTC)

Thanks For the autopatroll[edit]

I don't quite get why Skibidibiden is an unacceptable username[edit]

I saw that the 'Skibidibiden' account was blocked today after coming across CircularReasoning's old 'Vandalizing Conservapedia' page, and I don't quite get how that's a disruptive username? It's making reference to a Stephen Colbert skit, so nothing really stands out to me as offensive or something like that; Is it because of Skibidi Toilet's creator having some shit opinions about stuff like Russia? TheOneAndOnlyCirrusMan (talk) 23:42, 17 August 2024 (UTC)

Its bc skibidi in usernames tend to be used by vandals and disruptive editors over at nearly all wikis and fandoms, I have yet to come across a wiki where skibidi in the username has not ended in the user being a vandal, heck Wikipedia has added it to the username flag filter bc of it. Lavalizard101 (talk) 00:02, 18 August 2024 (UTC)
I was not aware of this, thank you for clarifying. TheOneAndOnlyCirrusMan (talk) 00:08, 18 August 2024 (UTC)

Tyler Michael Mannix[edit]

Did they need to be blocked indefinitely for "mindless vandalism"? I'd agree with blocking them temporarily for whitewashing and possibly spam, however, looking at the blocking policy and their contributions, I didn't really see any vandalism, just them trying to hijack articles. Tavantius (talk) 13:01, 7 November 2024 (UTC)

Their editing was Right Wing Nutjob trolling, calling Disney and other studios satanic and demonic etc and claiming the world hates christians etc. I've never seen reason to stagger blocks (except for IPs) for obvious "NOTHERE" behaviour. Now if it were smaller vandalistic edits that could be ascribed to editing tests then yeah I stagger blocks or vandal bin to help them learn. But we shouldn't put up with "vandalism-only accounts" and just temp block them, no other Wiki/Wikia/Fandom does. Lavalizard101 (talk) 11:34, 8 November 2024 (UTC)
