Haunted Collector[edit]

Good job on your first article! I suggest maybe adding some references to it though. Sam Tally-ho! 01:48, 20 February 2013 (UTC)

A word about citation templates[edit]

The problem is that they create a lot of nasty redlinks to ISBN, an article I doubt we need. TyJFBAA 01:48, 21 February 2013 (UTC)

Perhaps make ISBN a redirect to Help:References? SophieWilder 16:54, 4 March 2013 (UTC)
I've removed the link from Template:Citation/identifier. I still don't like citation templates, though. We are not Wikipedia, and we have no pretense to be an encyclopedia or some other kind of scholarly publication.--ZooGuard (talk) 17:11, 4 March 2013 (UTC)

Some update on my cyberbully[edit]

This is the most recent event, I just want to let you know just in case. You should also check out this where he made threats to me as SCWXA simply for my honest opinion. What is more hilarious is him threatening another site twice as well as another innocent YouTuber.[1] [2] [3] --Daniiieeeel (talk) 22:01, 12 September 2013 (UTC)

More info that I thought to let you know so you can use on his article. --Daniiieeeel (talk) 23:25, 12 September 2013 (UTC)
  • The newest weatherspace.com link seems to be just more of Martin trying to drum up publicity and get more web traffic and donations for his enterprise. I don't think RW should help him out by giving his latest bullshit more visibility. Our RW article already covers the NWS's publicly released statement and Martin's claims that he's filing a lawsuit because he feels he's been somehow damaged by it, etc.
  • The NWS "internal memo" allegedly "released by an unknown person" is hilarious, but since it's just an image on someone's blogspot, who knows how real it is, and in any case RW should probably steer clear of unverified stuff attributed to government agencies. Especially since Martin has a track record of manufacturing false controversies in order to gain attention.
  • But thanks for the great linx! - Leuders (talk) 17:48, 15 September 2013 (UTC)
You're welcome, sir. Also, I am sorry about ED links not working. ED is currently down since September 13, 2013 and will be back up soon. Other than that, here another source that you might found helpful about him. --Daniiieeeel (talk) 18:19, 15 September 2013 (UTC)
Links is back up. I thought to let you know about it. --Daniiieeeel (talk) 16:49, 19 September 2013 (UTC)

KMartin's Facebook pages all b&[edit]

He now threatening Facebook for banning all his accounts. He wrote that he leaving home at 2:00 AM looking for answers from Facebook when we all know he there to cause trouble. Seriously, he is willing to drive for five and a half hours from his Los Angeles home to Facebook HeadQuarter at Menlo Park. According to this link, it appears that a group of Anonymous people reported all of his Facebook page for fraud and numerous felonies with the hints of the FBI being involved in the case. It seem he'll have find another way to con people. Daniiieeeel (talk) 14:16, 15 November 2013 (UTC)

Saw that. He's been pissing people off with his police threats on FB, which is why he got booted. I don't know about "FBI" involvement, sounds like an exaggeration to me. By the way, I see he's now got robots.txt enabled on all his web pages so they can't ever be archived. Well, at least he's learned something! Leuders (talk) 14:21, 15 November 2013 (UTC)
One more interesting thing, it seem like some overeager Anonymous archive all of his Weather Facebook activities day by day. That will make great research. Daniiieeeel (talk) 14:26, 15 November 2013 (UTC)
And did you know his brother is death threatening a ED user for updating KMartin's ED article on WeatherPolice drama? Man, they're sure look insane. Daniiieeeel (talk) 14:38, 15 November 2013 (UTC)

If you can locate an Archive.is archive of this page that would be helpful. 14:45, 15 November 2013 (UTC)

Here and there. Please thank MeepSheep for this. Daniiieeeel (talk) 14:52, 15 November 2013 (UTC)
I just kidding, MeepSheep introduce me to that archive site. Anyway, you do not need to bother what going though all the trouble thanking him. He'll know soon enough. By the way, I already given you the links. Daniiieeeel (talk) 15:00, 15 November 2013 (UTC)
Moar archive links for you to use as source and update on the current event:Emergency-plan-in-progress, threaten a lolsuit with the promise of tenfold reward money in return to get people donating (pyramid scheme?), free e-mail notification service if you sign up, and new Facebook. --Daniiieeeel (talk) 00:58, 16 November 2013 (UTC)
Researching further into their shady history, I found something that might be able to proved that the phony weatherman is also a conman. On the 22nd post, he admitted to being "done with the program I was in", which strongly indicated he scam people along with his brother before becoming who he is today. The date of the post is 2008. In that same year, they even made a video about it. That would of mean he only been "forecasting" for five and half years after quitting, not 16 years. So is this enough source to prove he a conman? A former conman? --Daniiieeeel (talk) 05:33, 16 November 2013 (UTC)

By the way, can you shorten footnote #42? I have locate the page you asked me for in the archive.is this time. Here the link. --Daniiieeeel (talk) 05:33, 16 November 2013 (UTC)

The cash gifting twins stuff looks reliable. If you could locate a source for his being a former web designer I'll work on a new "early career" section. Leuders (talk) 13:34, 16 November 2013 (UTC)
Although I didn't quite found any trace of records about him being a former web designer yet, I did find this very interesting article about him finding the new Guinness World Records for the hottest temperature on Earth and the reasons for his internet tough guy act is because of "autism and obsessive compulsive disorder". First time in many year he actually did something that helpful.--Daniiieeeel (talk) 02:47, 18 November 2013 (UTC)
Here another source where he directly confirmed he have autism and obsessive compulsive disorder. But in this one, he clearly confessed that he do not really know how HAARP work and the whole reason for fund-raising is for suing NOAA.--Daniiieeeel (talk) 03:31, 18 November 2013 (UTC)
The forum where he even brag about it here. He also strongly claimed that he working two jobs here at post #50.--Daniiieeeel (talk) 03:14, 18 November 2013 (UTC)
You up? --Daniiieeeel (talk) 04:31, 25 November 2013 (UTC)

Might have value...[edit]

Happy New Year, Leuder. I want to inform you of the newest update I found on the KMartin that have some very important value. After apparently abandoning his threats against Facebook to get back his old accounts he lost last year, he threaten another weather person on Facebook with the same stunt that he pull on RationalWiki this year. Link to the source here. More to add to the article? Daniiieeeel (talk) 19:00, 31 January 2014 (UTC)

Bonus points: Kmartin even confirmed to the surreptitious act on Twitter [4]. Here a archived copy of it in case he delete the incriminating tweet anytime soon [5]. Daniiieeeel (talk) 19:29, 31 January 2014 (UTC)
Thanks I'll look into it. It may be worth mentioning in context of his habit of threatening people with bogus kiddie fiddler charges. Leuders (talk) 19:46, 31 January 2014 (UTC)
You're welcome. Daniiieeeel (talk) 20:07, 31 January 2014 (UTC)
And looking deeper into it, it seem like he did this to more than once. The last time he did it, he have to 404 the page to cover it up. This is the sources where I found it that might make great research [6], as well as this forum thread post #6869 on this weather forum. Also, I think the reason why he been threatening people with bogus kiddie fiddler charges might have to do with this perverted post he made back toward a young girl in November 2013 while harassing a bunch of amateur weather enthusiasts [7]. Daniiieeeel (talk) 20:58, 31 January 2014 (UTC)
As for the must-have another external links, I found an old audio recording of KMartin in his threats to people going to Vidcon confessing "again, I'm really screwed in the head. Yes I am, I'll really do something." and so on...to the end of that recording. And never missing a chance to be a professional victim, here another recording where he try to seek sympathy from people by talking about being bullied in high school and then try to justify killing by blaming it all on his mind, all of this to explain why he take down videos that he disliked or disagreed with with DMCA. Clearly he is sociopathic as the assassin in the State of Play film, but more crazier as well as manipulative. Not to mention that he also make racist slurs toward Muslims to mess with them in this recording. Daniiieeeel (talk) 00:52, 1 February 2014 (UTC)
More fascinating information that I found regarding KMartian regarding his career that important but missing from the article that you might take interest in and incorporate into the Career section of his article to make the article near complete. According to this forum discussion he formerly posted on, KMartin publicly announce that Palm Springs Aerial Tramway hired him to forecast weather on April 4, 2009. Less than a month later, KMartian (posting in a third person point of view) went to here, here, and here (lol deleted), to tell people he just got fired because he been too "accurate" for them and they're just being "greedy". Then again, according to this forum discussion dated April 23, 2009, his fellow colleagues express concern and question his crazy weather predictions. It is undoubtedly official that he once worked for that company due to the fact he told them in his own word, "If I am wrong, fire me" and then go on bragging about some exaggerated accomplishment to prove his point on this forum. As always, people appeared severely skeptical about his claims when he go on to post as HikingJoe about it here and here. Further confirmation that he actually work there can be confirmed by this mirrored video vlog, where he verify this further about being hired by that company and bragging about that accomplishment again. Last but not least, he believed that the solar flare combined with the gravity pull of a gas planet cause earthquakes. I'll update if I find more. Daniiieeeel (talk) 22:05, 3 February 2014 (UTC)
Oh, and I dug up a bunch of videos that might be relevant and help as external links. One video debunked Kmartin on every claims of his exaggerated accomplishment, another video where he ranting in a extremely crazy way, and last vlog is where he openly threaten the US Government (IRS to be exact) again in a crazy way. Daniiieeeel (talk) 23:00, 3 February 2014 (UTC)
I've added his rant against the IRS as an EL to the article, but the rest is...a bit too much detail for this article. We're doing the basic broad strokes here. Leuders (talk) 23:31, 3 February 2014 (UTC)
Okay, thanks. Anyway, I found a old forum post where KMartin confessed he's doing drugs. There is also found an interesting chat log that someone copy and paste of KMartin where he contradict himself on doing drugs and then having to 404 the links to his theweatherspace.com page at later time to apparently cover his tracks up. Daniiieeeel (talk) 16:25, 5 February 2014 (UTC)

New info.[edit]

While researching, I found his fourth weather site he launched early this year (Around December of 2013 if you're going by his facebook creation date.). It had the same design as it precursor, TheWeatherSpace and as well as the same old dubious drama against the weather communities that comes along with it.

Another thing, as I found out today, is that the TheweatherSpace experience a downtime, yet his new website didn't have that problem. That fishy because the notice on the site claim it's server is overloaded by "popular story", but if you go back to his Facebook, he claim otherwise that the site is suspended. He can keep his most recent site up, but not his old one and according to data of alexa.com, the traffic to his old site still is in decline. Strange, isn't it? Daniiieeeel (talk) 22:35, 19 February 2014 (UTC)

Thanks for the info. Publishing updates and investigations of Martin's weekly antics is beyond RW's mission. You might try Encyclopedia Dramatica. Leuders (talk) 00:49, 20 February 2014 (UTC)

AfD/Rome Viharo[edit]

As a courtesy, you are being notified that an article to which you were a primary contributor, Rome Viharo, is up for deletion. PacWalker 03:28, 16 April 2015 (UTC)

RE: ISHAR, Deepak Chopra: I also see plenty of editors here using my association with Deepak Chopra and ISHAR as evidence that I deserve to be shamed on Rational Wiki. I've disclosed my history with Deepak Chopra transparently. I've developed a collaborative digital library which ANY organization could use. Even Rational Wiki could use the aiki atheneum. I'm a problem solver. I like solving online problems. I'm obviously very passionate about online collective editing. Perhaps I was naive as to the pushback I would receive, but hey, I live in Southern California - we tend not to be so reactive to people when they do yoga and meditate. I've created media plans for Jennifer Aniston, that doesn't mean I endorse her films personally. I've developed media plans for Brazil, that does not mean I endorse their politics. Additionally, I've developed technology for brands and publishers to use to promote or advertise content. That doesn't mean I endorse their content, it means i create a manner of facilitating it. If I endorse something, I blog about it. Deepak Chopra is a very famous and well connected person. He also hired me to apply my work. I worked with him because he contacted me and paid me.104.175.42.84 (talk) 18:50, 17 April 2015 (UTC)

And, surprising no one, the result was pretty much the same this time around: Rome and his socks are blocked and his trusty sidekick Laird (another sock?) manages to convince absolutely no one that Rome is somehow being unfairly treated or that Rome's (in Leuders' apt phrasing) ""no I never said blue, I said azure" semantic rebuttals" are anything but yet another attempt at turd polishing. The latest example was the weasel wording cum bullshit term "online consensus building" which actually seems to mean creating a forum (ISHAR) where woo peddlers can tell each other how fantastic their crank ideas are and moan about how the Global Skeptic ConspiracyTM is suppressing the Truth. Surely, Edward Bernays would have been proud (if it wasn't so transparently crap - Bernays could surely have done better in this regard). ScepticWombat (talk) 07:37, 1 May 2015 (UTC)

Whoah, watch out boy![edit]

Would've been nice if you hadn't just pasted my talk page content into the article just like that. The talk page stuff, I really intend for the talk page. Not for the article. It's not that what I said doesn't belong in the article, it's just that I wrote it to the talkpage so that we could produce some kind of different submission to the actual page. Just so you know. Reverend Black Percy (talk) 23:26, 8 December 2015 (UTC)

There's no "submission": just what everybody agrees is good for the article. In any case, I heavily edited it for the article. Anyone should feel free to edit it further. Leuders (talk) 23:39, 8 December 2015 (UTC)
That's a poor tone of voice, don't you think? And for the record, you didn't "edit it heavily" - in fact, you didn't even edit it slightly. You copypasted the entire segment on Henning Witte. It's very simple really - don't do that again. Reverend Black Percy (talk) 23:47, 8 December 2015 (UTC)
I've been around for years, but never had one of those colorful name-calling feuds that seem so popular here on RW. Should we have one? Leuders (talk) 01:26, 9 December 2015 (UTC)
No need for you to pointlessly throw your weight around, old timer. The fact remains that your so called "heavy editing" consisted in you removing my signature from the bulk of text you copied from the talk page, and pasting it right into the article. Start from below the product description, where the section on Henning Witte begins, and compare my original talkpage edit with "your" "heavily edited" page edit. Own up, chump. Reverend Black Percy (talk) 01:35, 9 December 2015 (UTC)
This is a good start. Now we need to revert each other a few times in article space. Then you go to The Saloon bar and accuse me of vandalism. Or maybe racism. Use lots of diffs. And don't forget links to obscure logical fallacies. It'll be GREAT. Leuders (talk) 02:42, 9 December 2015 (UTC)

The Shermer radio[edit]

Thanks for providing a possible natural explanation. I suggested another possibility. Supernatural explanations certainly aren't needed. Proxima Centauri (talk) 17:31, 17 February 2016 (UTC)

The temp/humidity expansion/contraction explanation is by far the most likely. I had old doorbell buttons that were fine for months, then would suddenly ring by themselves in the middle of the night, usually around 3AM. And - to top it off - it (spookily) happened the night my mom died. I finally just disconnected them. Leuders (talk) 17:49, 17 February 2016 (UTC)

Question about California page footnotes[edit]

Hi, there. You asked why the footnotes on this page were removed. They weren't citations of sources but just comments inserted as references. I changed them to show up in the body of the article without having to click on the footnote. See the Fossil Record for the page and let me know if you still have questions. Your editing of Rome Viharo article[edit]

Hello Leuders,

I'm working with a tech publication that is featuring a story on Rome Viharo, and we came across his internet activity and the article on Rational Wiki. We noticed you're one of the key authors of the article. Can you confirm you are also editing and creating articles on Rome Viharo on wikia? These articles claim to have an author as 'leaders' Article 1 Article 2

I have a few questions about the sources you are using to establish Rome Viharo as an internet troll (or worse) and was hoping you can provide some clarity, either here or on my talk page.

Thanks

T

ServiceIP (talk) 18:14, 15 June 2016 (UTC)

For the record, the person using my name and stirring up trouble on the internet is not me. I'm aware there's an online feud between Viharo and various other individuals, but I have nothing to do with it. A while back, I made the mistake of engaging him on Talk:Rome Viharo. Next thing I knew he was ranting about me on his blog. It sounds like someone is having fun trolling poor Rome by pretending to be other people and making him think "enemies" are dissing him all over the web. Leuders (talk) 18:23, 15 June 2016 (UTC)

Impersonator[edit]

The guy impersonating you and other Rationalwiki sysops is Michaeldsuarez. He uses Encyclopedia Dramatica to "document" the drama he invents via his impersonations and trolling. Rationalwikilurker (talk) 22:24, 16 June 2016 (UTC)

"Rationalwikilurker" is lying. If you look through his contributions, you can see that he has single-mindedly been trying to pin all of his sockpuppets on me all day. He isn't here to do anything besides spreading lies about people. He has been doing the same, using multiple accounts, at reddit. He has previously used the "DougWellerisalunatic" account to spread the same lies. He has even impersonated me using the "JohnFuerstwithhispantsdown" account in an attempt to frame me for his actions. I have never impersonated anyone or attacked Rome Viharo. "Rationalwikilurker" is the one responsible. He's attacking me because I kicked his off of ED and deleted his articles, including his article on Rome Viharo. ~Michaeldsuarez
Michael we can still see your sock ips even if you don't sign your comments. You've been banned on 3 socks in the last couple of hours, and more of your sockpuppet bans are logged on Rome Viharo's talk page (e.g. here); those other accounts you just linked to are more of your own and you created Rome Viharo's ED entry. No one is being fooled by the lies you post when they can check the links; you are the one going around creating countless sockpuppets. No doubt you will reply on your 4th sock just for today, but you're not a sockpupeteer? right whatever you say... Rationalwikilurker (talk) 23:58, 16 June 2016 (UTC)

A vote for the community[edit]

Hey buddy! There's a vote going on in the Chicken coop, and if you have it in you to take in what me and others have written there, and maybe place a vote (for whatever you feel is right), it'd be much appreciated. If not, that's fine too. I just wouldn't want you to later find out that you'd missed participating in a vote that come to have an impact on what we define as permissible editing practices at the site in general. All the best, Reverend Black Percy (talk) 11:35, 21 June 2016 (UTC)

I seldom read the Coop or any of the drama pages because they too often resemble arguments between highly intelligent but emotionally volatile teenagers. Leuders (talk) 13:48, 21 June 2016 (UTC)
Ain't that the truth... I tend to avoid the drama like the plague, myself. This time, however, the drama jumped me. I hope that if you atleast take a moment to read my complaint, you will be able to tally your own interest in what is going on. Considering the pleasant conversations you and I have shared on this site, it wouldn't surprise me if you were to side with common sense and the humanitarian spirit on this one. But, again, what that means beyond being kind of a deepity is entirely up to you, and I won't judge you no matter what you do or don't do in this coop case. I do, however, trust fully in your compassionate and interested character. All the best, Reverend Black Percy (talk) 15:35, 21 June 2016 (UTC)
How does that edit window disclaimer text go?...If you do not want other people mercilessly fucking with stuff you write, then do not submit it here. Good luck on this one but I remain happily uninvolved. Leuders (talk) 21:21, 21 June 2016 (UTC)

As someone who does a lot of janitorial work around here, you're a goddamn hero to me, man. Keep on keepin' on! Th hug.gif All the best, Reverend Black Percy (talk) 23:47, 28 January 2017 (UTC)

Hey thanks. When the US Trumpocalypse comes, can I crash at your house in Sweden, dude? Leuders (talk) 00:01, 29 January 2017 (UTC)
That's a ten-four, good buddy! Getting kinda tired of livin' on my lonesome, anyway. And all jokes aside, if you're ever in the area, I demand that you let me be your native guide to Sweden. Reverend Black Percy (talk) 00:29, 29 January 2017 (UTC)

Many bothans died to bring you these FAKE NEWS[edit]

Hey buddy! Just letting you know that I replied to you earlier, but nobs didn't want you see it (i.e., things were getting way too real). Remember, Jesus hates you if you rub your little ding-dong! All the best, Reverend Black Percy (talk) 17:47, 2 April 2017 (UTC)

Confirming your identity on another site[edit]

Hi, could you please confirm or deny that you are in control of the Leuders account on a forum I help moderate, Psience Quest: http://psiencequest.net/forums/user-112.html

We have been having problems with impersonation, and are concerned that that Leuders account is yet another impersonation. --Laird (talk) 23:36, 10 September 2017 (UTC)

No, it's not me. I'm actually an agnostic and not an atheist. Looks like either a "tribute" account, or someone who just likes to stir up trouble in other people's name. Leuders (talk) 13:17, 11 September 2017 (UTC)
Thanks for confirming our suspicions. We will deal with this and make it clear that the account is an impersonation, to restore as much as possible your reputation (I know, it's strange that psi proponents would care about a skeptic's reputation, but oh well). We have a fairly clear idea of who's behind the impersonation. --Laird (talk) 14:18, 11 September 2017 (UTC)
It is Rome Viharo who has been impersonating you. He has also impersonated Roxy the dog from Wikipedia and other people. He did the same to me. Jamenta (talk) 13:26, 11 September 2017 (UTC)
Just an FYI for the casual observer: the above comment is more than likely by the same disturbed individual who is impersonating Leuders on our forum. Rome is a friend of mine and I can assure the reader that he has nothing to do with impersonation. --Laird (talk) 14:18, 11 September 2017 (UTC)
Laird, why should anyone trust what you say? You admitted elsewhere you have worked as a 'paid editor' for Rome Viharo and you defend his online trolling activities. Viharo has written lies and libel on his website about innocent people. On his website he (or you) claims that Rationalwiki user Laird is the owner of a specific Wikipedia account but provides no evidence for that accusation. You also have written in your own words that you believe Uri Geller has psychic powers... again why should anyone believe what you say? [9]. You have no credibility at all. Your edits to the young turks[edit]

You do realise they'll be gone (along with this message) soon? Christopher (talk) 19:44, 26 June 2017 (UTC)

Thanks, I'll save a text file for the great Resurrection Day. Leuders (talk) 20:01, 26 June 2017 (UTC)
Not all of them, just anything you do today. Christopher (talk) 20:10, 26 June 2017 (UTC)
Interestingly, those changes made on 26 June somehow got saved anyway. Leuders (talk) 14:02, 28 June 2017 (UTC)
Fuzzy misunderstood a post on our tech blog, nothing was deleted. Christopher (talk) 13:31, 7 August 2017 (UTC)
