RationalWiki's 2018 Fundraiser

There is no RationalWiki without you. We are a small non-profit with no staff — we are hundreds of volunteers who document pseudoscience and crankery around the world every day. We will never allow ads because we must remain independent. We cannot rely on big donors with corresponding big agendas. We are not the largest website around, but we believe we play an important role in defending truth and objectivity.

If everyone seeing this today donates $5, we will meet our goal for 2018.

Fighting pseudoscience isn't free.
We are 100% user-supported! Help and donate $5, $20 or whatever you can today with PayPal Logo.png!

Donations so far: $2835Goal: $5000

Guam could use some help. Please research the article's assertions. Whatever is credible should be sourced, and what is not should be removed.

Guam is a territory of the United States that was rightfully acquired stolen from Spain in the Spanish-American War. It was briefly liberated and integrated into the Greater East Asian Co-Prosperity Sphere stolen again by Japan in World War II.

Prior to the Spanish-American War, its economy was based on having fresh water in the middle of nowhere (roughly halfway between Spain's mineral extraction zones, New Spain and the Philippines). Nowadays, its economy is fueled by tourism and the military. It is mostly inhabited by natives, Filipino immigrants, and military personnel.

In 2017 North Korea has been threatening to nuke it, for no reason other than intimidation. We're pretty sure it's because it's the only part of the US close enough for their pathetic Cold War missiles to reach. Hopefully, they aren't that stupid, as this would finally give us a legitimate reason to invade, and likely cause Vietnam IV: Psychopathic Narcissist.
