  • Reading Wikipedia, I followed the chain "Criticism of Wikipedia" → "Conservapedia" → "RationalWiki" (eventually; I was using cp:Template:Mainpageright as a wingnut news-feed as early as 2007).   • I discovered Conservapedia after hearing Andy pitch it on a local Seattle radio talk show and contributed 324 edits in the first two weeks of April 2007. I even earned "Edit of the Week". Then I was invited to the Rationalpedia, and I did quite a few edits there, and even attended the IRC channel associated with that place. Ed Poor somehow wormed his way into the IRC channel associated with that wiki, and started throwing his weight around, and kicked me from that channel. I discovered RationalWiki after checking up on CP via WP. RatWiki was only about three months old at the time.Teresita 02:50, 29 September 2008 (EDT)

  • I joined awhile back, and am on and off a lot. But, I joined after reading about CP on Andrew Sullivan's blog, and when I went to look up CP again, the highest link on Google was RW.   • I read a Register.co.uk article about Conservapedia which mentions RationalWiki. I also have a track record of visiting different websites since around late-1995, such as HotBot. UnopposedToThumbs
  • I found it via the 'Lenski affair'. Schlafly's stupidity was linked on the SomethingAwful forums, and it was pretty much follow the bouncing ball from there. Starshark

  • Stumbled across Conservapedia after reading some excellent articles about it by ...oh I forget now... on www.smirkingchimp.com, about how sinister it was (Hitler was a liberal, and Pinochet died to make China British, or something). That led me to RW, which I've been happily following for months now, but finally decided it was time I dipped my toe in. I've been active on Conservapedia too, periodically.   • According to my earliest IP edit I have been here since February. I found it through a link on the Conservapedia page at Wikipedia. When I was frustrated by the stupidity I found at CP and went to WP to check for second that back in the real world people thought Conservapedia was as moronic as I did, then I found here and felt right at home.

That led me to the Wikipedia article on CONservapedia, from which I found the term "RationalWiki." I then googled "RationalWiki" and instantly became hooked, especially given that my Statics for Engineering instructor had converted the class from a math class to a Bible class.
