- I'll let you fuss with the colors. Anything but the old, monotonous baby-colors scheme. As for fitting the links under the contents section, I disagree. The contents section is already a bit bloated. Additionally, I feel we need to draw special attention to the debates and essays. Really, they are the only thing that differentiates us from other wikis—that users are expected to express their opinions. The nature of the contents section is that everything in it is an article. While you can and are encouraged to contribute to them, their end goal is to be articles, not vehicles for personal expression. I feel that having a particular section that emphasizes the need for participation is highly valuable, more valuable than, say, stuffing it under the generic "contents" section. --Wandalise me Bohdan! By the way - that lining up probelm you mentioned is caused by an extra table of some sort on the right hand side. WIGO[edit]
RA: you know not of what you speak. The guy (TK) has no moral scruples - at all. I could throw him a hell of a lot further than I'd trust him. He's (allegedly) threatened to contact employers in the past. He's des[icable. (apologies for commenting here - my connection's too slow & my edit limit too small for the section) [BTW - there's no great responsibility with sysoppery - just helps to revert vandalism] SusanPurrrrrrr 14:56, 14 January 2008 (EST)
- I know I have no experience with Conservapedia. But I believe it is best to assume delusion over malevolence. And from my own experience with him, I find that if (a)he doesn't know you and (b)he isn't provoked, TK is generally quite cordial. Besides, a large part of his alleged immorality was probably due to the environment of Conservapedia. Not everyone who goes there is going to avoid being corrupted by the toxic atmosphere of the site, Susan. -- Radioactive afikomen Please ignore all my awful pre-2014 comments. 15:04, 14 January 2008 (EST)
- RA, I think Susan knows of what she speaks. TK's history goes back before RW and CP at least to a site called "Hot or Not" where TK had been a moderator. When RW first started they were contacted by another former moderator of HoN who warned them that involvement with TK would lead to misery as he had virtually destroyed our moderator community at HoN because he had fomented in-fighting. TK became a sysop shortly after joining CP and established his own brand of authoritarianism with many editors being kicked out for the lamest of excuses. The "toxic environment" at CP really only started to develop after TK's elevation (I would hesitate to make a link between these events). After a group of "liberal" editors established RationalWiki 1.0 they were joined by TK who on one hand proceeded to verbally abuse and insult everyone in public but would communicate with individuals in private e-mails and IM claiming that he wanted to undermine CP and be very friendly, but he tended to play each one off against the other and sometimes added his own vandalism and plagiarism to CP. I just wonder what integrity TK has with all his manipulation? Probably he is not concerned about the values of the sites he frequents but just gets a kick out of pulling people's strings (as he does repeatedly with AmesG). He has also repeatedly claimed that people are who they are not, whether through malice or willful ignorance I don't know. However, claims were made on this site in the middle of 2007 that Fox was an RW sock, in an attempt to undermine his position at CP. And now TK is repeating the claims with the added bonus of incriminating BrainCo as well. These two may or may not be RW socks, I have no knowledge but what does it say of TK that he feels the need to say so either here or as Kbolton on CP (I have pretty strong evidence that TK is Kbolton but cannot reveal it without compromising others). So who is he trying to destroy - honest editors at CP , editors at RW or both? He probably doesn't really care, TK has flitted between RW and CP attempting to stir up discontent on both sites. He has also operated his own socks on both CP and RW. Your experiences with TK may have been amicable but I have seen several threads where he has suddenly turned nasty, you may think that threats of physical violence on internet sites or private emial are hyperbole but who can tell what someone might actually do in reality? I am sure that TK is pleasant to you and other recent editors here but he used similar tactics to disrupt HoN. His recent short-lived return to CP saw him trying to throw his weight around and he was leniently blocked by Fox for abusing other editors, something that would have earned a 5-year+ ban if he had been the giver rather than the receiver.
- What I can congratulate TK for from a RationalWiki point of view is that sowing seeds of more doubt into Aschlafly's mind about who can or cannot be trusted only serves to hasten the demize of CP. Only one one new sysop (AS jr.) in the last five(?) months despite several departures shows that Andy doesn't know who to trust. PJR and DanH are obviously finding it hard going, SharonS has other things on her mind nowadays, DeborahB has been notably invisible and many other sysops are just dwindling away so trying to sabotage a revitalized Fox was a good move. Of the longterm nonsysop editors at CP Iduan is going, HelpJazz is still fighting for nightedit rights, BrianCo might as well pack it in as well as he will have been well and truly discredited, while Tash & Learntogether are not going anywhere either. Once that little group pack up and go home then Andy is going to be running CP with just Bethany and Karajou as his aides de camp and TK will be able to claim the credit. Poison Ivy 17:21, 14 January 2008 (EST)

rollback[edit]
"I wasn't aware the rollback button rolled back quite that far..." - quoth RA
- Rollback undoes every edit the last editor made since the previous editor. Very handy for vandals who edit a file several times in a row, and of course it's also only one click. Undo only reverts the last edit. But I guess you know this now! human 11:53, 23 January 2008 (EST)
dashes[edit]
"And I'm STILL the only editor who knows how to make a dash. Its alt 0151, by the way, guys."
Wow, lighten up, there, RA. You can also use:
- -- (easiest n dash, just two hyphens)
- --- (easiest m dash, just 3 hyphens)
- –

Also, spaces -- on each side of a dash -- make nice typography, although I don't think there is a universal standard on that. So there :P human 15:50, 24 January 2008 (EST)

Hey, RA, could you please bring these up on articles' talk pages where anyone watching the article will know what's going on? Deredding binge[edit]
You aren't doing very good work. You often remove links to articles we should have. You don't fix links that need to be fixed. Please, slow down and think about what you are doing. Look for possible links that might be there, and above all, keep in mind that some things need to be written! (OK, I don't know if your dered binge has also included writing at least stubs, feel free to tell me if you have). It's fine to fix up silly links in old talk pages, but at some level, "wanted pages" is exactly that. The solution is not to delete the link, it's to try to get an article started. Thank you for your time. human 23:44, 11 February 2008 (EST)

- Well, I certainly appreciate your cogent, intelligent and eloquent response. Given your stated lack of real interest in this site on your user page, I would ask you to try to think a bit more about your "deredding". While some of it has been useful (deredding articles copied from CP, for instance), sometimes it seems like you simply want to remove all potential links to actual wanted articles on this wiki. Let me rephrase my first comment a little more clearly, since you aren't bothering to offer the simple respect of discussion. If I find myself having to undo or rollback any more of the crappier deredding you are doing, I might be inclined to give you a day off to think about what your goals are here. human 00:27, 12 February 2008 (EST)
