RationalWiki's 2020 Fundraiser

There is no RationalWiki without you. We are a small non-profit with no staff – we are hundreds of volunteers who document pseudoscience and crankery around the world every day. We will never allow ads because we must remain independent. We cannot rely on big donors with corresponding big agendas. We are not the largest website around, but we believe we play an important role in defending truth and objectivity.

If everyone who saw this today donated $5, we would meet our goal for 2021.

Fighting pseudoscience isn't free.
We are 100% user-supported! Help and donate $5, $20 or whatever you can today with PayPal Logo.png!

Donations so far: $1680Goal: $3500

Because of your edits to and time on the wiki, Autopatrolled has been added to your user rights. This lets you bypass most of the abuse filters, bypass the CAPTCHA, and edit more frequently. If you have questions, bleat ask away.

We hope you enjoy your newfound ᴘᴏᴡᴇʀ — and these external tools:

  • Rbutr shows user-submitted rebuttals to your current webpage.
  • Google Scholar Button (Chrome, Firefox) searches your highlighted text in Google Scholar. Easily check academic citations!
  • web.archive.org and archive.is can save permanent copies of webpages. Never lose a crank website or racist Tweet ever again!

Anarchism section[edit]

I like what you've written, it seems researched and seems to have engaged with the arguments of various parties. Would you like to talk about it? ☭Comrade GC☭Ministry of Praise 21:05, 16 August 2020 (UTC)

Just to add to the above comment, I added your section back with a bit of modification. (I removed the list and incorporated it into the main body of the text.) I take no credit though, as the bulk of the work was yours. ☭Comrade GC☭Ministry of Praise 03:25, 17 August 2020 (UTC)
Wait, you are the one who suggested to remove that section, and when I copy paste it right back you refer to it as “well researched”. This feels like crossroads I have only been here for like 2 seconds. The 𝗦𝗾𝗿𝘁-𝟭 talk stalk 04:00, 17 August 2020 (UTC)
Yes, when the section was a poorly thought out list and an equally poor rebuttal, I was indeed in favor of removing the section. Since it has been expanded to actually explain the topics, I am now for it, as my main criticism has been addressed. ☭Comrade GC☭Ministry of Praise 04:29, 17 August 2020 (UTC)

I apologize[edit]

I apologize if my behavior back in the anarchism talk page came off as hostile and aggressive. I don't want you to feel unwelcome and I think that you can provide the wiki with much needed help in combating wood and conspiracy nonsense.Tuxer (talk) 22:12, 16 August 2020 (UTC)

No problem! It is my fault I didn’t see that earlier. Sorry for the exceptionally late reply, I was sleeping when all this was taking place. The 𝗦𝗾𝗿𝘁-𝟭 talk stalk 03:17, 17 August 2020 (UTC)

Don't delete talk pages for deleted articles[edit]

We don't do that here. We always keep the talk pages for articles that have been deleted. It's one of RationalWiki's quirky traditions. Spud (talk) 13:02, 17 August 2020 (UTC)

It’s a transparency thing. All talk page comments are public historical record unless it’s particularly odious trolling that gets removed quickly. (particularly entertaining talk page records can be found in the Israel-related pages) Pizza SLICE.gifChef Moosolini’s Ristorante ItalianoMake a Reservation 04:47, 23 August 2020 (UTC)

May I ask you what that comment meant? "The past will always come back to haunt you. Whether its to teach a lesson, remind you of forgotten feelings, or to just be a b*tch." — Godless Raven SDAPOe logo.svg talkstalkwalkbalk 🌹 Flag of Europe.svg 15:16, 4 September 2020 (UTC)

lol i was just thought to say hi, but thought that would be too boring, so I tried to think of something on top of my head and searched for “past quotes” on gogle, and found this and just copy and pasted it there. If you think there was some hidden meaning behind my intentions or I was trying to signal something cryptic, your wrong. It’s just that I am weird, and now that you mention it I don’t know why. My mind is simply wired to constantly try to retire to pseudo-cryptic linguistics. I think this paragraph itself is the same, really, maybe, kinda. The 𝗦𝗾𝗿𝘁-𝟭 talk stalk 11:57, 5 September 2020 (UTC)
