—Abd Lomax in 2023[2] |
Abd ul-Rahman Lomax (1944–2024),[3][4] born as Dennis George Lomax[5][6][7][8] and known on Reddit as Abd Lomax,[9] was an American diagnosed schizophrenic, flat earth debater, and internet forum spammer.[10] Lomax was banned from a number of websites such as Wikipediocracy for his controversial views on pedophilia and his defense of Nathan Larson.[11] Lomax controversially claimed that hebephilia (sexual preference for pubescent children typically aged 11-14) is "more or less normal".[12] He also argued that the Qur'an supports child marriage.[13]
Lomax was a cholesterol denialist, conspiracy theorist and low-carb high-fat fanatic who was best known as a proponent of pseudoscientific cold fusion. He supported diet woo such as the Atkins diet, carnivore diet, and other low-carb quackery. Lomax was formerly a member of an Islamic cult with links to the alt-right. He had a notorious history of getting into internet vendettas with people who did not share his views and often defended people with other fringe views such as neo-Nazis.
Lomax became a Muslim in 1970.[4] He was involved for two years with the Murabitun World Movement, a politically active extremist Sufi sect with a history of antisemitism,[14][15] but was forced to leave the group in 1980. Despite this, he wrote extensively about Islam on the internet since the 1990s. Lomax was a free speech advocate and proponent of civil liberties unless it was other people's rights to privacies and to lambast his viewpoints without being harassed.
Lomax was widely considered to be an internet troll and cyber-harasser noted for disruption, trolling, and posting of personal information. He was banned on a number of forums and wikis, including Wikipedia,[16] Wikipediocracy,[17] RationalWiki,[18] Wikiversity,[19] Meta-Wiki,[20] Encyclopedia Dramatica,[21] LENR forum[22] and at least 5 Reddit boards.
He wrote a series of blog posts defending people such as Nathan Larson, Emil O. W. Kirkegaard, Michael Coombs and other alt-right activists.[23][24] He was also known to have used his blog to attack people he was disgruntled with, including administrators on websites that banned him. One of his favorite methods of attack was to 'weaponize' Google searches, so if someone searched for a name, Lomax's blog would show up with ad hominem and lies written about them.
In February 2019, Lomax filed a lawsuit against the Wikimedia Foundation for publicizing the ban of his username Abd. The lawsuit was dismissed in June 2020.[25]
Lomax wrote hundreds of posts on various websites including Quora where he promoted cholesterol denialism. For example, he commented that "cholesterol itself is poorly associated with death from heart disease."[26] After having a stroke in 2020 and a heart attack in 2021, Lomax's internet activity was restricted to Reddit where he spent up to 12 hours a day debating flat earth, pedophilia and religion.[27][28] The only forum that did not ban Lomax is wikipediasucks.co where he wrote nearly 800 posts.[29]
Lomax had difficulty distinguishing between what is real and imaginary and in June 2023 admitted he had experienced schizophrenic episodes in the past. He said he experienced "real miracles" but after being hospitalized accepted that some of his "interpretations were illusions".[30] Lomax also said that he heard voices and in the past heard "the voice of God".[31] Lomax described himself as "batshit crazy".[32]
Lomax was a spammer, who posted "Trolls get the Last Word" onto several flatearth subreddits over 400 times.[33][34][35][36] In January 2024, Lomax was posting misinformation about nutrition on Reddit, calling sugar a "poison", claiming diets high in saturated fat are not harmful and that carbohydrates "are not necessary for human nutrition".[37] Despite claiming he was going to live to age 95 on his Atkins and carnivore diet, Lomax died in April 2024, aged 79.[5]
Personal life
Education
Lomax claimed to have studied undergraduate physics at the California Institute of Technology; he had no degree. He admitted he never "graduated from any college or university."[3][38] However, he wrote on websites he attended Cal Tech lectures, studying with Richard Feynman (1961-1963), further that he had knowledge of physics.[39][40][41][42] He also claimed to have taken Linus Pauling's freshman chemistry class.[4] Despite, or perhaps because of this, Lomax had previously asserted that formal teachings were unnecessary for him, because he was able to "learn by writing".[43]
In September 2023, Lomax was still name dropping Richard P. Feynman on Reddit, and mentioned that he studied under him but conveniently left out he never graduated and had no degree.
I do understand physics, and studied it wit the foremost physicist of his time, at Cal Tech, and I’m not shaky on this point.[44]
I learned the methods of science from Richard P. Feynman, personally, at Cal Tech, in 1961-63. Does that mean that I am right? No, but I suggest looking at evidence that I adduce. I am not the Judge of Reality, but Reality is the Judge of me.[45]
Family and friends
Lomax was divorced seven times. He claimed that four of his marriages were not were legally registered.[46]
Lomax's daughter Zippy Lomax, a photographer from Portland is a Black Lives Matter (BLM) activist. In August 2020, Zippy Lomax's rear window was smashed and her tires were slashed by Portland Police at a BLM rally.[47][48][49] In a press release, police officers said the car was a hazard and “interfering with their attempts to safely move people out of the road.” Zippy Lomax has stated she plans to file a complaint against the officers and take other legal action.[49]
Lomax said that he personally knew Charles Manson.[50]
Schizophrenia
Lomax was a diagnosed schizophrenic who was hospitalized and claimed to hear voices.[30][31] He claimed that his "mother was a paranoid catatonic schizophrenic" who was hospitalized and received shock therapy.[51] Lomax said he inherited schizophrenia from his mother:
Since I inherited schizophrenia from my mother, I understand how they think, I have been there. I learned to distinguish between the thoughts that occur to me, which is overactive human instinct to recognize even subtle patterns, exactly what is being demonstrated here.[52]
Lomax's considered himself "batshit crazy".
I am batshit crazy. Why not? I’ve been there, done that. My mother was a paranoid catatonic schizophrenic, treated with shock therapy, which, as horrific as it was, sometimes worked. It is heritable. It is “stupid,” only in that what is believed is created by the mind with no actuality behind it. In my case, triggered by LSD, fifty years ago, learning to maintain ego loss for days, I came down with the help of another resident of the hospital who was quite sane, so why was here there... I learned that my thoughts were just reactive voices, not to be believed but perhaps investigated. Sometimes they were intuition, sometimes actual lies. Yes, we tell ourselves lies, ask any addict who has come to know themselves, and I have heard thousands of stories.[32]
Religious views
Islam
Lomax converted to Islam in 1970 after he alleged to hear "the voice of God".[31][53][4] and claims to have "become a leader of a spiritual community"[54] as a successor to a popular New Age mystic Sufi named Samuel L. Lewis. As is customary for converts to Islam, Lomax changed his name, taking a Muslim first name. The name he took, Abd ul-Rahman means "servant of the most gracious".[55] His legal and birth name was Dennis George Lomax.[3][4]
Between 1978-1979 Lomax was a member of the Tucson branch of the Islamic Murabitun World Movement, an extremist Sufi sect.[56][14] While a member of the sect, Lomax associated with Abdalqadir as-Sufi, the sect's extreme right wing founder and noted antisemite,[14] Lomax helped him publish books.[56] He was asked to leave the sect in unclear circumstances in 1980. Lomax distanced himself from the sect, and later described it as a "shady cult",[57] even though he claimed to still be on good terms with Abdalqadir.[58]
During the 1990s,[59] Lomax was a regular on the Usenet newsgroup soc.religion.islam.[60] Lomax claims to be a moderator of the newsgroup.[58] He posted voluminously on the subject of Islamic teachings and the sect he was formerly a member of, which he described as a cult, but claimed that was an objective description and not meant with negative connotations.[61] After leaving Usenet, Lomax became active on Quora, posting similarly.[62]
Qur'an
Lomax did not take a literal reading of the Qur'an but called himself "Qur'an-centric". He said that the Qur'an was "partly metaphorical" and should not be used as science book. He also claimed that the "Hadith are generally untrustworthy" and the stories in the Hadith are not meant to be taken literally.[63]
What was literal and metaphorical in the Qur'an was entirely subjective for Lomax and he argued on Reddit about interpretation of different verses.
I was Qur'an-centric, probably before you were born. I am not and have never been a "quranist," because of people like you, who carelessly lie about what is and is not in the Qur'an. Where does it say what you claim? I've seen this argument from people who actually cited the verse, which did not say -- and certainly not "clearly" -- what you have ascribed to it.[13]
Numeric miracles in the Qur'an
Lomax did not deny the possibility of miracles but disputed the claims of Rashad Khalifa regarding numeric miracles in the Qur'an.[64][65]
Concerning Khalifa, Lomax wrote:
"Dr. Khalifa’s claims, at best, fall into the category of pious fraud. … Had God intended the Qur'an to carry a code verifying its perfect preservation, he could have done it much more effectively and simply than the complex, arbitrary, and inconclusive 'code' claimed by Dr. Khalifa.[66]
He was also involved in a long internet debate with Edip Yuksel on numeric miracles in the Quar'an. The debate was printed in book format in 1995 and republished in 2012.[67] According to critics, Lomax was notorious for ad hominem.[68]
Martin Gardner
Lomax's skepticism about numerical miracles was positively cited in a book by Martin Gardner.[66] Lomax cited Gardner on websites to prevent himself from being labelled as a pseudo-scientist for his unorthodox views about cold fusion.[69] However, what this actually shows is an example of stopped clock.
God
“”I have strong evidence for trusting that God created the heavens and the earth, and that he made the earth round through the attraction he decreed for all mass, and he spread the sky with stars for our guidance and taught us how to use them, and for whatever purpose known best to him. I’ve concluded you are a troll, and trolls get the last word.

—Abd Lomax arguing on Reddit.[27] |
Lomax held contradictory ideas about God. One of his favourite claims that he said for over twenty years on the internet was that "God is reality".
God is Reality itself, distinct from ideas about reality.[70]
My God is Reality itself, without conditions, no matter what.[71]
My faith is in Reality, a name and quality of God, not in some organization.[72]
You would expect Lomax to have been a pantheist with this view but he believed in an anthropomorphic deity that could curse, forgive and reward people.
God is Reality and his curse is on the liars, for them is a painful doom, unless they repent.[73]
I ask that God forgive your errors and reward you for the best of what you do.[74]
If you trust in Reality and act according, God has promised you will be safe.[75]
Lomax rejected science and believed that God created the "heavens and the earth", so he believed in a personal deity and also claimed to have seen miracles.[27][76] However, Lomax admitted to having schizophrenia and accepted that some of the "real miracles" he experienced were illusions.[30]
Voice from God
Lomax claimed he heard "the voice of God".[31] Despite all this, Lomax criticizes others for "anthropomorphis[ing] God".[77] Like other religious fanatics, Lomax avoided talking about the problem of evil.
Lomax said that after asking a question, God told him "The choice is yours":
But God has said that it is my choice, so my choice is not in opposition to God.
God has only spoken to me once. I was looking for an answer to what her ot not I should accept being drafted. I sat silently oh a beach watching the sun set, and then I heard a “still small voice,” with what seemed to manifest infinite calm and wisdom.
The choice is yours.
That proved to be true. I have never heard that voice again. What more would I want? The character of the voice, I recognized in the Qur’an, once I was reading it in Arabic. I trusted what I was told and it proved true. That was sixty years ago.[78]
Lomax did not accept that the voice was the result of his schizophrenia and often repeated the story on Reddit in a weird attempt to prove that the Qur'an was true. He also claimed he was investigated by the FBI who dismissed his claim because he was crazy:
I heard a quiet voice, “The choice is yours.” I recognized this as truth, and it changed my life. While the process went this way and that, it ended up that this was absolutely true, the choice was mine. Making a CO claim, the FBI investigated and concluded that the claim was bogus because I was crazy, and therefore eligible for the draft.[79]
Satan
Lomax believed that Satan was real.[2] In June 2023, he commented:
One of Satan’s favorite tricks is to get people believing that others are his minions. Nobody is exempt from his whisperings.[80]
Lomax's belief in Satan as a personal being that deceived people is logically inconsistent with his belief that God was reality.
Pseudoscience
Cold fusion
Lomax was the owner of the pseudoscientific "Infusion Institute" which he formed in December, 2013.[81] It is not a recognized scientific institute, he was the only member. In 2015, he wrote a paper arguing for cold fusion that was published in the peer-reviewed journal Current Science.[82][83]
According to Lomax:
Cold fusion is real, and it is time that serious work is funded to study the conditions of cold fusion and other correlated effects, gathering the evidence needed to understand it.[84]
At least one news report incorrectly described Lomax as a "physicist".[85] Lomax made a number of far-fetched claims, for example he stated that with further development "cold fusion could supply clean power for humanity indefinitely."[86]
Lomax was the owner of Lomax Design Associates, based in Northampton, Massachusetts. In 2011 he gave a presentation at the pseudoscientific Cold Fusion/Lattice-Assisted Nuclear Reactions Colloquium at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.[87]
Lomax was not popular in the cold fusion community. He was banned from the LENR forum and complained on his website about his ban, blaming the administrators.[22]
Diet woo
“”Low-carb diets often fail if people are afraid of fat, which is common after forty years of propaganda. Fat is actually an essential nutrient, unlike carbohydrates.
|
—Abd Lomax[88] |
Lomax was a cholesterol denialist who argued that high LDL cholesterol levels did not increase the risk of cardiovascular disease.[89][90][91] He denied that there was a link between saturated fat consumption and increased blood cholesterol levels. He ate a low-carbohydrate high-fat (LCHF) meat-based diet and similar to other low-carb fanatics recommended high consumption of saturated fat. He also defended the dangerous carnivore diet and pseudoscientific ideas of Shawn Baker. "Baker knows his stuff", Lomax commented in 2019.[92]
Lomax spent years eating the Atkins diet, which most of the medical community have rejected as a fad diet.[89][93]
On Atkins, not only did I lose weight rather efficiently, but I was now eating my favorite foods. When I was a kid, they would say to me, “Have some bread with your butter.” My favorite food, besides steak, was baked potato with butter and sour cream, emphasis on the last two.[89]
I was on a high-fat, low-carb diet and I would take chicken thighs, sprinkle them with grated Parmesan cheese, and broil them in a toaster oven until the cheese was browned and crisp, I think it was ten minutes. Then I would turn them over, add more cheese, and repeat. Sometimes the inside was a little bloody in places, but I never got diarrhea from years of doing this. It was delicious, and did not taste raw.[94]
Lomax argued against low-fat and vegan diets. On his website he defended cholesterol denialists and low-carb promoters such as Malcolm Kendrick and Gary Taubes.[89][91] Lomax argued on his website (without providing evidence) that a high-fat diet would decrease the risk of cardiovascular disease or stroke. For example, Lomax said that "In spite of being high-fat, Atkins eaters improved cardiac risk factors".[90] He gave no peer-reviewed scientific evidence for this statement.
Lomax said he was diagnosed with hypercholesterolemia in 1990 and with prostate cancer in 2007.[89] In April 2020, Lomax had an ischemic stroke.[95][96] High LDL cholesterol levels increase the risk of ischemic stroke.[97] In 2021, Lomax had a heart attack. His arteries were blocked and he had a coronary stent and a cardiac monitor implanted.[98] In the last years of his life he resided at an extended care facility. After having his stroke and heart attack, Lomax insisted the reason for them was unknown and he still claimed saturated fat consumption did not increase the risk of heart disease. He said he ate a low-carb high fat diet in his care facility, including 3 eggs with cheese and cream everyday.[88][99]
In July 2023, Lomax had surgery for an infected kidney stone.[100] In January 2024, he was promoting the Atkins diet on Reddit.[37] Just over a week later on his own subreddit r/Abdlomax Lounge, he wrote:
In hospital ICU for 9 days, bladder and blood infection from kidney stone, almost died.[101]
In February 2024, Lomax said he contracted a Clostridioides difficile infection.[102] Lomax died in April 2024.[5]
Parapsychology
Lomax was supportive of research in parapsychology but claimed he was not a "believer" in the subject. He argued against skeptics who dismissed parapsychology as pseudoscientific and referred to skeptics of parapsychology as "pseudoskeptics".[103][104] Lomax argued that:
Parapsychology is, by definition, a science.[105]
The vast majority of scientists, however, consider it a pseudoscience.[106][107]
He worked with psychic Craig Weiler and his friend Ben Steigmann in promoting paranormal studies on Wikiversity. These studies were deleted in January, 2018.[108]
Defense of Emil Kirkegaard and racialism
Lomax's exact views on race were hard to pin down, but he defended individuals from the "race realist" community, which he believed was a respectable position. In February 2018, he wrote an extremely bizarre article defending Emil O. W. Kirkegaard and the controversial London Conference on Intelligence.[23] Lomax said he had not seen any evidence that offensive or racist material was presented at the UCL conferences.Do You Believe That? This was despite the fact that over 80% of the speakers have published papers in the Mankind Quarterly, a pseudo-scholarly racist journal.[109] Lomax defended the journal and criticized the Wikipedia article on it as biased, describing it as "clearly a scientific journal".[23] Mainstream academics have described the Mankind Quarterly as a "white supremacist journal".[110]
Lomax took issue with the Southern Poverty Law Center which he claimed was "highly political". He criticized their report on Richard Lynn, claiming "this hit piece is simply hitting on stereotypes about racism and sexism, knee-jerk expectations".[23] On his blog, Lomax linked to the neo-Nazi encyclopedia Rightpedia as a "valid" source of information. One can speculate that his defense of alt-right speakers such as Kirkegaard and Lynn stemmed from his interest in protecting civil liberties:
I was also an officer in the Cal Tech chapter of the ACLU, probably as a sophomore there. (I picketed the House Unamerican Activities Committee meeting in Los Angeles then). The ACLU has defended Nazis and other groups widely considered reprehensible, as action protecting civil liberties. Civil liberties are not just for those with politically correct or popular views, but for everyone, and if it becomes an offense to defend the unpopular, democracy is in double trouble.[111]
Internet trolling
As an internet troll, and cyber-harasser, Lomax was infamous for disruption, trolling of admins, and posting of other editors personal information. He was banned from a number of forums and wikis, including Wikipedia, RationalWiki, Wikiversity, Meta-Wiki,[112] and Encyclopedia Dramatica.[113]
He used his blog to attack administrators on websites he was banned from; mainly by weaponizing Google searches, so if someone searched a name — his blog would show up with ad hominem, lies and smears written about them. Lomax' Rationalwiki account User:Abd was blocked during 2020, 9 years after he started editing. After being blocked from RationalWiki and Wikipedia, Lomax wrote thousands of words on his blog about his bans, continuing to attack more editors.
In December 2017, Lomax was permanently blocked on Wikiversity for long-term disruption and misusing the site for his personal vendettas to harass other users.[114] In February 2018, he was globally banned by the Wikimedia Foundation.[115]
After being banned on practically every respectable wiki on the internet, Lomax became a troll poster on Encyclopedia Dramatica. However, in February 2019, even bottom feeder Encyclopedia Dramatica had enough of him and permanently banned Lomax for attacking other editors by creating defamatory articles about them.[116]
Lomax v. WikiMedia Foundation, Inc.
Lomax filed a lawsuit against the Wikimedia Foundation in February, 2019 for publicizing the ban of his username. He also invoked an irrational conspiracy theory that a group of skeptical editors including several admins teamed up to ban his account and acted with "malice". The case was dismissed in June, 2020. Lomax's claims had no basis in fact and were based on "mere speculation".[25]
Spoofing people's names
Lomax was criticised in 2021 for using people's real names and pseudonyms in his accounts and webpage links.[117]
Abd has created a subreddit using my URL.
He has taken my domain name.
Google is completely fooled, thinks it is my actual site.
It comes up on the first page of a google search, and in a horrible way.
In a nutshell, Lomax found a way to harass people he was in a feud with by using their names to mislead Google search results.
Offensive views on pedophilia and child pornography
“”Right. That’s my opinion, given the conditions, he is not a threat to children.
|
—Abd Lomax defending pedophile Nathan Larson in 2020, a year before he abducted a child.[118] |
Lomax attracted widespread criticism across the internet concerning his offensive views on pedophilia, child pornography and his defense of pedophile Nathan Larson which resulted in him being banned from various forums.[119] Lomax was in long-term communication with Larson and they exchanged many letters and phone calls. Lomax also sent Larson a board-game.[118]
Lomax disturbingly claimed hebephilia (sexual preference for pubescent children typically aged 11-14) is "more or less normal".[120] In a blog post written in 2020 on his website titled "Association with Bad Actors", Lomax defends a number of pedophiles and paedophile-apologists including Larson and Michael Coombs.[121] Lomax denied that Larson was a pedophile (despite Larson previously describing himself as a pedophile), writing "he [Larson] is not a pedophile" and "his sexual preferences are normal, not specially-young women." Not long after Lomax wrote this bizarre and inaccurate blog post, Larson was arrested for child abduction (his victim was a 12 year old girl), soliciting child pornography from a minor, and meeting a child for the intention of sex; he also administrated a pedophile forum named Rapey that was already under investigation for child pornography.[122][123][124] After the arrest, Lomax continued to defend Larson,[125][126] for example arguing he could be innocent since he did not know the age of the girl he abducted and asserting he didn't deceive her (blatantly false since he groomed her online knowing she was vulnerable because of her young age) and doubting whether he kidnapped the girl:
…what occurred may not have been a kidnapping. But unlawful transport. I don't wonder that the charge was made, because of appearance and possibility. But Larson does not appear to have deceived her. We assume that he knew her age. Because of her profile, she believed he knew her age, but it is possible that he overlooked it.
Lomax was sympathetic to child pornography and claimed (without any evidence), "devices that measure penile erection have shown that normal males have a response to child porn."[127] A blog post on Genderdesk documents his writings on Child erotica.[128] The Genderdesk blogger also discovered Lomax had a history of defending Nathan Larson as far back as 2014, writing on a Wikimedia site, "Larson "is not a pedophile. He doesn’t fit the definitions. He has no history of molesting children."[129] Prior to being arrested, Larson left comments on Abd's website asking him for a character reference to enroll at a university for a Master's degree. According to Larson, "I've asked other people to be a reference and they're all either ignoring me or turning me down."[130]
In several blog posts on Lomax's website he defended Michael Coombs who has admitted to being sexually attracted to "underage girls". Lomax, however, denied Coombs was a pedophile on the basis of his sexual attraction to children not being primary or exclusive; instead, Lomax claimed "This is, indeed, normal male sexuality and definitely not pedophilia."[131] In his blog post "Association with Bad Actors", Lomax also defended Emil Kirkegaard, an activist for legalizing child pornography.[132] In 2018, Kirkegaard filed a libel suit after being called a pedophile and Lomax published numerous misleading blog pages defending him during the lawsuit; in 2020, Kirkegaard lost the case by discontinuance, having earlier lost the preliminary judgment. [133] Lomax later described the failed lawsuit as "unskillfully prosecuted" by Kirkegaard.[134]
Child marriage
Lomax held controversial views on child marriage. He said that it is acceptable in the Qur'an:
There is nothing preventing a marriage and consummation with a girl of any age, after all, where in the qur'an is that prohibited? Suitability is mentioned, but not defined. If he has her parent's permission, and there is no other defect in the marriage, the marriage will be recognized everywhere.[13]
There Qur'an lists the mahram relationships, and permits marriage to other than those. There is no verse forbidding marriage based on age. The sunna of the Arabs, however, was to allow betrothal, which we loosely call "marriage," at any age. From the history we have, Ayesha was betrothed at six, and to do that, a prior betrothal was withdrawn, so she was betrothed even earlier. The Qur'an did not outlaw that practice, and it still exists, and AFAIK, age is irrelevant, on both sides. But consummation is different. There the standard was the onset of puberty, as evidenced by first menstruation.[13]
He didn't seem to have a problem with child marriage if their was parental and judicial consent:
And as to consummation, what is the standard? Is it age-based?
Girls vary greatly as to age of first period. 8 years of age is still not considered "precocious puberty," but the relative rarity creates knee-jerk reactions. Sending a girl to live with her betrothed before she menstruated was disapproved, and I cited a case from the Yemen of a prosecution for rape from consummating pre-menarch. Betrothal remains possible today, a father could approve a betrothal at any age, but sending her to love with her husband without following age-of -consent law in the jurisdiction would be a crime, for which the father and husband could be prosecuted, if the latter took advantage of it, and he could lose custody even if that did not happen. And some states still allow marriage at any age, with parental and judicial consent.
Arab practice was normal for the time, all over the world, ma‘ruwf, and the Qur'an does not normally give details for what is well-known.[13]
When questioned about the subject on Reddit, Lomax said he was not arguing for child marriage, he was arguing that the Qur'an did not forbid it.[13]Do You Believe That?
Harris G. Mirkin's study
"The Pattern of Sexual Politics: Feminism, Homosexuality, and Pedophilia," by Harris G. Mirkin — is a controversial 1999 article widely interpreted as pedophilia-apologism.[135] Lomax was a fan of Mirkin's writings on pedophilia and defended the paper in a bunch of comments and forum posts.[136][137][138] On Wikiversity in 2015, Lomax created a page on Mirkin's 1999 infamous pedophilia article.[139] The blogger Genderdesk has noted: "if you google “Mirkin phase” your first hit will be boywiki.org and subsequent hits are various quotations from Abd and his cold fusion site, as well as some comments Abd made about it here. This is thinly disguised pedophilia advocacy."[140]
WikiInAction ban
In 2020 Nathan Larson was banned for spamming child porn onto the Reddit board WikiInAction. During this time, Lomax was also banned from the board for defending Larson.[141] In 2021 the WikiInAction board was closed down. In 2022, Lomax's friend Dysklyver made him a moderator of the Reddit board RealWikiInAction.[142]
Wikipediocracy ban
Lomax was banned from the Wikipediocracy forum for defending pedophiles.[11] The Genderdesk blogger has noted that, "Abd’s ban from Wikipediocracy was about pedophilia".[143] In regard to his ban, Lomax stated "Banned without warning, explanation, or notice many years ago".[144]
Wikipedia Sucks forum
Lomax was topic-banned from discussing pedophilia on the Wikipedia Sucks forum.[145] However, this ban did not seem to have come into effect since Lomax continued to discuss it. He claimed to be a protector of children on the forum:
GenderDesk and Vigilant don’t care about children at all. I do, I have seven children, seven grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.[29]
May 2023 deletion spree
In May 2023, Lomax deleted and edited many of his former posts on Reddit that were supportive of Nathan Larson. In his more recent posts he still refused to accept that Larson was a pedophile and instead dismissed Larson as a troll. Lomax did this in response to a thread that was created about him on flatearth Reddit in an attempt to defend his reputation there.[146]
Wikiindex defense of Nathan Larson
Lomax said he was invited to the website Wikiindex by Nathan Larson who was using the name "Leucosticte".[147] During 2014-2015, Lomax made many posts defending Nathan Larson on Wikiindex:
Leucosticte is, however, not a pedophile, has not been charged with any sex crimes, but is a radical libertarian who tends to take up highly unpopular causes, in the name of freedom, and then he will present what are often rational arguments to be considered. He then appears to be advocating the cause.[147]
Leudosticte is not a pedophile. He doesn't fit the definitions. He has no history of molesting children. He was in federal prison and was on parole for a completely different offense, and was under intense scrutiny.[147]
This was despite the fact, Nathan Larson was a self-admitted pedophile and was involved in uploading child pornography to multiple websites.
Lomax heavily edited Larson's own userpage on Wikiindex and was interested in editing content related to Nathan Larson's controversial websites such as childporn.info and ChildWiki.[148][149][150] Lomax says he viewed these websites himself.[150]
As of June 2023 all of Lomax's posts defending Larson and his websites remain on Wikiindex.[151]
Child protection services
Lomax claimed to have had "extensive experience with child protection services" and said he was investigated.
When my situation with my daughter, 12 at the time, and at that point temporarily we were sleeping in the same room, though she was sleeping in a couch facing away from my bed, it was mentioned that it was possible that I would be accidentally exposed to her. That turned out to not be a factor. But it was there as a consideration. An investigator from CPS lied to me, and recommended custody be yanked because my apartment was messy. Long story short, the responsible social worker said “no, he is fully cooperating with us.” And they provided us with tons of resources. If I had been willfully or carelessly exposing myself to her, the outcome could have been very different.[152]
He also claimed:
I could find no law that explicitly prohibits nudity before a child, absent “lascivious intent.” But if a worker suspected that, they could, as I wrote, yank custody pending investigation.[152]
In reply to his friend Nathan Larson, Lomax claimed to have lost custody of his adopted daughter:
Look, I've found myself dealing with authorities, over the last year, that had the power and some possible reason to yank custody of my daughter from me. If I had argued with them, the result would have been completely predictable. I had a basis for argument. My adolescent rebel self would definitely have argued. You can't make me. You are wrong. Etc. I might eventually have gotten custody back, if my daughter survived. She might not have.[153]
Age of Aisha
Lomax was obsessed with discussing the age of Aisha, the third wife of Muhammad who is said to have been 6 or 7 years old at the time of her marriage.
The Hadith are inconclusive on the age of Ayesha. The claim that she was six at marriage, failing to distinguish that six was the age of betrothal (revocable promise to marry) and the age of full marriage, which was alleged to be nine. The standard for allowance of consummation was not a specific age but onset of puberty. This was practically universal around the world. There still is, last I looked, no minimum of age of marriage in California with parental and judicial consent. But the sovereign#may set minimum ages of consent and marriage. In Massachusetts the minimum age of consent is 16, but the minimum age of marriage is 18. Apparently, it is okay to have sex but not to marry. These are merely facts, not advocacy. It is up to the sovereign to determine what is lawful.
The Qur’an does not establish a minimum age. Arguing on the internet, too many say what they do not know. For example, that 9 is too young to have entered puberty. Medically, precocious puberty is before eight.[154]
Lomax spent up to 12 hours a day debating the topic of flat earth and getting banned from various Reddit boards:
“”You need to mind your own business.
Reddit is how I get out. I had a stroke in 2020 and have been resident ever since in an extended care facility. This is about my only connection with the outside world, other than staff.

Spammer
Lomax spammed the phrase "Trolls Get the Last Word" on several subreddits over 400 times.[10][33] In December 2023, he was banned from r/flatearth for spamming "Trolls Get the Last Word" onto hundreds of threads.[10] He tried to appeal his ban without success.[10]
Hello, You have been permanently banned from participating in r/flatearth because you broke this community's rules. You won't be able to post or comment, but you can still view and subscribe to it. Note from the moderators: Spam[10]
Lomax later admitted to the spam, "I use a subreddit r/trolltools routinely to terminate conversations in lieu of blocking, and just today that sub was trolled for the first time. I think I have used that maybe hundreds of times to terminate conversations efficiently."[10] He said he planned to create an alternative account to avoid his ban.[10]
The moderator of r/flatearth later commented about Lomax's ban:
“”The schizophrenic has been banned as of a few days ago, he brought nothing of value to any sort of discussion.
Also we don't support pedophiles, which should be obvious enough.[159]

After his ban from r/flatearth, Lomax put "Trolls Get the Last Word" on r/LENR.[160]
Spamming Areo Magazine
Lomax spammed the right-wing Areo Magazine. According to its owner Helen Pluckrose, Lomax was the "most persistent troll of Areo".[161]
