San Diego Christian College
|The divine comedy|
The college was founded in 1970 as Christian Heritage College. Among its founders are Tim LaHaye, author of the Left Behind series, and Henry M. Morris, founder of modern creationism. The Institute for Creation Research was established at San Diego Christian College as a research organization. San Diego Christian College is accredited by the Senior Commission of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.
Some of the faculty have questionable credentials. An assistant professor of science and a science lecturer at the college have master's degrees from the School of Biblical Apologetics at the Institute for Creation Research, an unaccredited institution. At least five faculty members list credentials from the Southern California Seminary, an institution accredited by TRACS, a creationist accreditation authority.
