Why the edit revert?
Hi there, Could you please let me know why you reverted my edits to https://rationalwiki.org/wiki/Tulsi_Gabbard ? If you look at the edits I made, you'll see that all of them added to the accuracy of the article and removed unfounded claims like "He and Tulsi have been running a string of "nonprofits" for a while." (the citation is one article in which a single nonprofit is mentioned, and that nonprofit is an actual nonprofit, no quotation marks) or "Tulsi claims to have distanced herself from her father's politics, but her staff and supporters are straight out of the original anti-gay group." (Two of the articles are from 2004, before Tulsi distanced herself, and the other two articles make no mention of her staff being anti-gay. There's also no conclusive evidence that her supporters are largely anti-gay.)
Please take another look at my edits, or at least tell me why they were reverted so that I could try again while avoiding those mistakes.
Thanks.

- Tulsi was busy being anti-LGBT (and anti trans) only a few months ago, and this sudden apology and "support" is literally just for her campaign. There is nothing wrong with the article as written. — Dysk (contribs) 16:22, 10 February 2019 (UTC)
- Could you cite some primary sources to that fact? She has a stellar voting record when in comes to LGBTQ rights, with the Human Rights Campaign giving her a perfect score of 100 for her last term in Congress, and mentioned the importance of LGBTQ equality in her campaign launch speech.
- Either way, whether she said something anti-LGBT recently is not relevant to this conversation, as that particular claim was never in the article I edited. I'm all for exposing the negatives about Tulsi or anyone else for that matter, but the article contains a number of unsubstantiated claims as well as some straight-out lies (see my edit history as well as the comments for each edit; I mention 2 of these claims above). I hope you'll agree with me that it's important to stick to factual information here rather than resorting to slander and lies, as the current article does in some instances. If you have first-hand evidance of anti-LGBT statements from Tulsi, feel free to add them to the article. Either way, please revert my edits (and feel free to fact-check them).
- I'd really appreciate it if you replied to my comments. As stated before, I'm not against criticism against Gabbard, but that criticism should be fair and founded in facts. My edits, if you take a look at them and the sources behind them, were simply about removing lies from the article. (If you take a look at the talk page for the article, you'll see a number of people have expressed that the article reads like a hitpiece, although they refer to edits at various points in time.) If you'd like well-researched arguments against Tulsi, this video goes over a few (both pros and cons): https://youtu.be/TNrDVqE88CM , with an addendum at https://youtu.be/D0se1Xcw8Ks . I don't want to start an edit war over this, but if you don't reply to my comments, I plan to add my edits back.

So... why are you so blocked from Wikimedia projects?
Is it just because you socked a lot? —Kazitor 01:27, 20 July 2018 (UTC)
- I stood for their Arbcom election. Got blocked. Evaded with a new account. Got banned. Evaded that with a succession of accounts. Got globally locked. — Dysk (contribs) 08:31, 20 July 2018 (UTC)
- I don't hang around Wikipedia, but... is "Arbcom" the arbitration committee? What does that actually do, and why were you blocked the first time? Just curious. —Kazitor 10:59, 20 July 2018 (UTC)
- The Arbitration Committee is sort of a coop/mods combi. See Wikipedia:Wikipedia:Arbitration Committee. I got blocked because well, this:
- After 6 months you can apply for the block to be lifted, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page:
{{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}
. - This was of course later replaced with a ban. — Dysk (contribs) 11:37, 20 July 2018 (UTC)
- There's so much bureaucracy there I can hardly make out what the issue is... is it just that you were doing some things they didn't like? Regardless, just try not to cause trouble around here eh? —Kazitor 11:45, 20 July 2018 (UTC)
- The nub of the issue is basically that some topics are sacred. (I nominated some biscuits for deletion and some administrators did not approve). It is amazing how much bureaucracy it took to get rid of me from that point onwards. Made much harder by the whole Arbcom election bureaucracy, and the ongoing attempt to out-wikilawyer a lawyer. — Dysk (contribs) 12:28, 20 July 2018 (UTC)

- The normal spam has a distinct pattern, and this doesn't match it and no further similar spam has appeared. I think it is just a Fun:Elvis Presley fan who could maybe be a contributor, although his stated aim "to share with others some facts/collections about Elvis that are rare and ... cool" may not be particularly missional. And the whole thing could have just been a joke, given that he didn't reappear. I think we just leave it go and worry about it if he comes back and adds Elvis facts to every single article. :D — Dysk (contribs) 13:15, 19 December 2018 (UTC)

- So the main problem with the page is that its too short? Riptohelsinway (talk) 23:49, 13 February 2019 (UTC)
- Too short/insufficient content, not enough depth to the topic put forward. — Dysk (contribs) 23:50, 13 February 2019 (UTC)
- Is the article ready for mainspace yet? I expanded it: Draft:TFLism. Riptohelsinway (talk) 16:39, 15 February 2019 (UTC)
- It's an improvement, but I feel like it is still in need of expansion. I think maybe further analysis of some of the key figures could help. Also archive links to relevant deleted content could be worth finding if possible, as the article has become a little short of citations now. — Dysk (contribs) 16:54, 15 February 2019 (UTC)

I can't prove any of these claims right now as so few edits have been done, but I will eventually be proved right. I can't prove any of these claims right now as so few edits have been done, but I will eventually be proved right. Mike will pretend to be normal for a while like he did on his Radiant Orb account, but sooner or later will reveal himself when he posts crude and obsessive racism. - Cool  — Dysk (contribs) 11:58, 24 February 2019 (UTC)
- Yes I will certainly look into it. I am not this Abd guy. Maybe this Arcticos character should be a little less trigger happy. Ostwelt Spangler (talk) 11:57, 24 February 2019 (UTC)
- Righto so there is an ongoing vendetta between that guy and his socks and Abd and his socks and really I am not in the least bit surprised. If you want to write the article then by all means go ahead, but you may want to look into 47 U.S.C. § 230 and transnational law first before making such general statements about who is and isn't responsible for something based purely on geographic location. — Dysk (contribs) 11:55, 24 February 2019 (UTC)
- Hi Dysklyver. I was Mr. Clean. Arcticos just blocked me indefinitely, and took away my talk page access. Is that normal? Can I not get a chance to respond to accusations? I have no idea why he did this. I was happy to cooperate with you in making the defamation article. I would have made a draft we could work on together. Ostwelt Spangler (talk) 11:17, 24 February 2019 (UTC)
- What was wrong? Mr Clean (talk) 20:06, 23 February 2019 (UTC)
So my own view is that Atlantis was probably a real but fairly ordinary civilization located on Santorini. However I am aware that some people favour the idea that Atlantis was in Africa, which is where the elephants thing normally takes it. The myth of Atlantis is so overhyped that accurate study of it is difficult tbh. — Dysk (contribs) 13:14, 24 February 2019 (UTC)
- @Mikemikev (Ostwelt Spangler), cut the trolling: you do realise no one is being sued for writing RationalWiki articles? Lomax invented some fake news about people from OpenPsych/Kirkegaard suing over RationalWiki content and made some sockpuppet impersonations to create this drama. Are you that dumb you thought someone was actually suing? lol. Hence your stupid "defamation" article. There are no lawsuits over RW, nor is there any libel on any of those articles. You're a victim of Lomax's fake news. Absolute moron. I think you thought if OpenPsych did a lawsuit, you could somehow remove your article. Sorry, it's up for life Michael. I'll be sure to add more of your insane beliefs and Nazi/ANTIFA impersonations (since you seem to have a personality disorder pretending to be both) on the article later today.Arcticos (talk) 13:25, 24 February 2019 (UTC)
- Did you even read the defamation article? — Dysk (contribs) 13:34, 24 February 2019 (UTC)
- You know, this person and their socks can at worst be accused of not understanding the difference between defamation (a legal charge) and disagreement (a basic right guaranteed in most countries under some form of free speech law). ☭Comrade GC☭Ministry of Praise 13:51, 24 February 2019 (UTC)
- @Dyskluver Yes, it was a few lines of crap and like you said mostly inaccurate. And "Twist Spanker" is Mikemikev's new sockpuppet. Once exposed as him, he quickly creates new accounts. Notice also these latest accounts appearing very recent fixate only with my edits - Atlantis and now UKIP... not suspicious (sarcasm).Arcticos (talk) 13:55, 24 February 2019 (UTC)
- I am not in the least surprised given that you focus only on the same topics he does, that you are obsessed with finding his socks rather than waiting for them to say anything much, and that you are almost certainly filed under "sock of the smith bros" in Trolloland. I think you are doing a good job with the British politics articles, but when it comes to the trolls, be aware there is no practical limit to the number of accounts they can create, so there is little point blocking them early. — Dysk (contribs) 14:02, 24 February 2019 (UTC)
- @Dyskluver we only focus on the same topics, since I influence Mikemikev. He can't think for himself and has been robbing my opinions and interests for past 6 years, he's like a puppy who follows me around. As an example, Mikemikev only became interested in UKIP after my influence and I started writing about them. Prior to me doing that, he attacked UKIP as "Zionists" and "Jewish-controlled" on Stormfront and Political Forum, but suddenly after I started writing about UKIP on wikis - he began supporting them on his Twitter and Gab accounts and tried to reinvent himself from a neo-Nazi to a populist. I don't support these type of parties (as can be seen in my edits - I've been heavily critical of UKIP), but basically where I influenced Mikemikev was showing him populists have a more sensible way of being anti-immigration that wins votes, rather than his Nazi type crackpottery that scares away the electorate.Arcticos (talk) 15:21, 24 February 2019 (UTC)
- Alas these parties do seem to generate that kind of support. It does seem to be sending them downhill though, as UKIP has literally devolved in xenophobic fuckdom now. Even Captain Farage has jumped ship, and you know what they say about rats and sinking ships... — Dysk (contribs) 19:01, 24 February 2019 (UTC)
- Right-wing populist parties have no ideological coherency beyond anti-EU and anti-immigration; once these two things are achieved, or adopted by mainstream parties as policies, their vote collapses. Also, most people who support these type of parties don't want to see them persist for a long period of time, but the mainstream parties to listen to them. I always knew UKIP's "purple revolution" was going to not last long.Arcticos (talk) 21:08, 24 February 2019 (UTC)
- Everything Arctico here writes is a lie. One of his smear tactics is to claim his opponent "changed his views" because of him. It make him feel powerful of something, idk. I still think Arctico's views are fucking retarded. I'm not playing "realpolitik", I'm not standing for election. Most importantly I can't be fired. I just describe the situation honestly. If only everybody could do the same. Fagin (talk) 09:44, 25 February 2019 (UTC)
- Fair. Everyone is entitled to their views, even if I don't particularly agree with them. — Dysk (contribs) 09:57, 25 February 2019 (UTC)
- lol. "Honestly". Mike all your crazy beliefs are lies: you're a 9/11 conspiratard, Holocaust denier and spread the "white genocide" conspiracy theory. It's as if your MO is to make "white people" look dumb as possible with the nonsense you believe... Hope not Hate must love you. What's next David Icke reptilians and hollow-earth? And yes I know you're incapable of a sensible discussion about anything and don't do "realpolitik". Even Abd ul-Rahman Lomax in his latest blog article described you as a "troll".Arcticos (talk) 14:57, 25 February 2019 (UTC)

- Ostwelt Spangler / Fagin / Twist Spanker are Mikemikev sockpuppets. It's not as if he's now even pretending to be someone else - like he did on Spangler. After I blocked those socks, Dysk unblocked. Mikemikev wouldn't post here and I wouldn't need to respond if you just blocked Mikemikev when he shows. If you don't block his socks, he will be spamming this place on new accounts. RationalWiki needs to start creating long-term abuse pages like Wikipedia: Long-term abuse/Mikemikev.Arcticos (talk) 16:27, 25 February 2019 (UTC)
- Why on earth do we need a shrine to the trolls? I unblocked Ostwelt because it was unclear at that time whether they were Mike or whether we were being paranoid. The other accounts are probably mike, but could easily be some kid having a laugh pretending to be (aka a "joe job"). These people are far too disorganised to do anything significantly problematic so just chill, and block when it is patently obvious trolling has started. — Dysk (contribs) 20:42, 25 February 2019 (UTC)
